Hi CJ, I keep my SL500 on a decent trickle charge. I can run the car as normal for about a week, then simply plug in the trickle charger for a night or two (literally takes 1 minute to do). I haven’t had one single battery problem since doing this from about 6 years ago. Thanks for your videos 😊
There ya go! Another commentator mentioned that he has the ORIGINAL solid state accessory battery because he keeps his on a fancy trickle charger. Amazing that these batteries can last that much longer with proper care. Keep doing what you're doing!
I watched this video so I could learn what size bolt retains the battery to the floor. It wasn't called out. This is a cute video instead of a technical one.
Thank you 🙂I BELIEVE you CAN use either an AGM or lead acid battery - in fact a Euro car specialty shop once told me that if the car sits, it's better to use a lead acid battery so the AGM battery doesn't go bad from drainage and non-use. Don't hold me to that though - Mercedes says to use the original AGM one.
Great video. I like your demonstrations. Often it's quicker to comprehend visually in 4k video than by text in a forum.
I agree. If it weren't for TH-cam, I wouldn't know how to do most of this myself.
Simple and straightforward explanation thanks.
Glad it helped!

great content as always
Thank you 🙂 Hopefully it's helpful to other SL owners out there.
My consumer is dying too. Think I'm going to try one of those interstate batteries also! 🤘
Mine is still going strong. Haven't had a consumer offline error for 3 months now, even with the car sitting for a few days every now and then.
@@rollingstocks I installed the same battery in mine and all good so far 👍
Thank-you for covering "Normalizing" the seats steering wheel and windows
My 2009 SL550 has the original accessory battery because I have that battery on a CTEK 5.0 MXS battery tender. Car has 18k miles on it.
Whoa, that's gnarly! Sounds like that battery tender has got some good tech in it.

Nice!! I just bought another Mercedes 2007 sl 550 white to keep my 2011 sl 550 black company I’m catching the sl bug 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Whoa, that's a whole lot of Superlight! Be fun to caravan.
Great video. Mine doesn’t say AGM.. mines a 2005… does it have to be a AGM battery
