✨Free Crochet Pattern - Seascape Scallop Tank Top - forthefrills.com/scallop-v-neck-tank-top-free-crochet-pattern Check out the free crochet tank top and dress pattern! It has all the sizing info (sizes XS - 3XL), measurements, yarn amounts and alteration instructions ☺
I just finished my tank top as my first crocheing project and it turned out wonderfully!! The size turned out grat and the amount of garn were measured accurately :D Thank you soooo much for the pattern and the tutorial!
Have a feeling I'll be making several of these. I can't wait to try making it into a dress. I do love the fact this yarn is dyable. Dharma has always been my go to site for the best dyes.
A wonderful tutorial I did mine in pale pink and added a bottom ribbed border. It took me so long to finish hahaha but I love it, I will share it in my stories on IG soon 🤗🌸🌸 Thank you so much
Okay, I love this pattern, and I actually did start it. Just finished and connected the four triangles. But, I'm afraid it confuses me when and how do I have to turn my work. It's not clear enough when you were shooting the video. I stopped after connecting the triangle and I'll be waiting for your reply. Thank you so much ❤️❤️
OMG! You are so talented! You are a truly INSPIRATION for me (as a crochet lover and a small youtuber). :) Your projects are amazing, love your work and this tank top is so cute! Keep up the good work! :)
I LOVE your content. It is so easy to follow the instructions and you make beautiful pieces. I was hoping you could do a cardigan version of your fluffy short sleeved top? I’m still really new to crocheting and so I can’t figure out how to do it on my own. I’d love for it to be exactly the same as the original only making it a cardigan. Thanks so much for the great content!!!
love the pattern and I have 2 triangles finished but I'm confused as to how to make a larger size. Can anyone fill me on where I make the pattern larger? Thanks
Just found this channel & it's my new go-to fave! I'm def making this for my daughter - not that Dunedin is overly warm most of the time but we sacrifice warmth for fashion LOL. Awesome channel & 100% new sub from me!
I finally put my straps together! I'm so excited for the finished product. At what point could I try it on for size? I'm trying to make an XL with WeCrochet Shine Sport, but I'm on body row 1 and it's only coming out to about 30 inches around.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It was so easy to follow the pattern and the tutorial. My daughter loves the one I made in a light grey. I’ve promised to make one for my daughter in law and my five nieces. Have my work cut out for me. My only problem I have is that the seam tends to veer to the right.. what am I doing wrong? Please help. Thank you😍
I strictly followed your instuctions but as i am using a different yarn the suggested stiches outcome a larger size. Could you suggest a medium width in centimeters please?
Hi i m from india can u make tutorial on crochet skirts using multiple colours in single skirts. Their r few pictures available on pintrest. Please reply
Out of interest, I know ur a fellow kiwi, where do you buy your yarn? I'm a beginner so Spotlight/Lindcraft are my go-to's but I'm always keen on finding websites that experienced crocheters/knitters/yarn buyers use 🙂
Hi forthefrills! This video is amazing but I was hoping to see the dress pattern but it seems to have a problem. It showed Error 404. Can you please check again? Thankyouuu💜💜
This dress is gorgeous, thanks for sharing it with us!! Is there a way to know how many stitches & rows I need to do if I'll be using a thinner yarn (say, fingering weight or a little thicker?) ?
Hi, since this pattern has a v-neck, if you can't meet gauge you'd have to rewrite the entire pattern to get a similar result unfortunately! You can experiment with adding more rows until the triangle = 1/4 of your bust measurement but the v-neck might be too low or too short. Since I haven't tried it out I can't guarantee it'll look like the sample unfortunately! Grace
Love this! I really want to make the dress but the yarn I want to use is DK (3..?), do I need to use a different hook size? What do you recommend? :) (also, I’ve been told I crochet tightly)
Hi Anna, the yarn is used is quite thick for a sport weight yarn so you might be able to get away with a DK. I'd recommend creating a gauge swatch and then adjusting your hook as necessary (if you have too many stitches per 10cm/4" use a larger hook or (more likely if you're using a DK) if you have to few stitches use a smaller hook). All the extra details + gauge are in the free written pattern on my blog (linked in description) Grace :)
I'm using a size 3 Lion Brand Coboo. I chose a G-4.25mm hook and it works fine for me. I did take the time to do a swatch of a couple different needles to check the gauge. It all depends on how loose you crochet. I think for this top, the stitches per inch is the most important. If the rows are close to the gauge, you'll be fine.
If you Google it you can find websites that give you the diff sizes & terms used in diff countries, so you can work out what the equivalent is in your country :)
Hi Natalie, If you're based in the UK Drops Safran (has a bit more of a sheen) or Paintbox Cotton DK would probably work well. You want to look for a thin DK yarn or thick 5ply/sport cotton yarn. I hope this helps, Grace :)

This is very pretty. Can the top not be worked in rounds without turning as this would avoid the seam?

I get really confused with the size of the yarn eg size 2,4
Is there an easier way of finding what the only comparison is ?

Hi! Would you be able to help and suggest other brands please? I’m from the UK and a beginner but struggling to decide which yarn is best! Thanks
Hi Natalie, If you're based in the UK Drops Safran (has a bit more of a sheen) or Paintbox Cotton DK would probably work well. You want to look for a thin DK yarn or thick 5ply/sport cotton yarn.
I hope this helps,

how many yarns did you use?
Hi! Can I use a (24/7 cotton) yard in number 4 to do this?
I mean gauge 4
Please write down the tutorial in the video. Thnx
Where is the pattern please???
As a left handed person, the joining part can be a little confusing
I think the last left triangle you made needs to be on the far left when joining, and all triangles WS up?
What size is this?
