Just a heads up, Zugzwang is a German word pronounced sort of like "tsuuk-tsfang". The uu being like in the word "too", and ang almost rhyming with "bong" (not with "bang"). Wouldn't normally comment on it if it was a minor difference, but it's basically unintelligible to a German 😅
I would probably say the -ang should be more like -(ah)ng (a as in father) than -ong, but I suppose this is a technical difference. This is still a massive improvement.
@@raihanmuhammad6689 I am... extremely disappointed in Google for listing both. Still, I'd trust actual dictionaries over Google's blurbs, and they seem to list the German pronunciation exclusively. I'm guessing Google lists pronunciations on the basis of "what they've observed people use", and since we're chess junkies, there's a decent chance a lot of people read it out of books and take their best guess as to how it's pronounced.
@wet beans what language, english? you do realise that a language is built on the people speaking it right? no point in nitpicking zugzwang when everyone mispronounces coup d'etat, qatar, or literally hamburger the way its supposed to be natively pronounced. also, did you know google is a search engine that searches dictionary definitions and not a literal dictionary?
I've got a book of xiangqi (Chinese chess) endgame scenarios, and Zugzwang is not uncommon in endgames with a Chariot vs. the full guard (the two Elephants and the two Advisors, the pieces whose movement restrictions make them defensive pieces only). Well-placed, the full guard can draw against a lone Chariot, but they can seem well-placed when they're not, and the loss of even one of the defensive pieces in such an endgame makes mate only a matter of time, and there are scenarios where the defending player WOULD be able to hold their own if allowed to pass a turn, but this is xiangqi, not go, and the only available moves allow one of the full guard pieces to be captured.
Oh, man. Imagine having such a small mind and large ego that a few words and a literal 4 seconds is enough to upset you to the point you won’t watch a video. Why is it so hard to just respect what somebody else believes? He isn’t hurting anybody, so stop being a pouty little b!tch.
He is risen referring to Jesus Christ rising from the dead on Easter Sunday after he was crucified on good friday John 3:16 For God so loved the world he sent his one and only son so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

the pronunciation on google says both are valid, regardless of etymology
