    Bringing up brain damage is such a lame defense. GSP, Pacquiao, Khabib, Poirier...shit Gathje gets knocked out for fun, and they all managed to not allegedly r*pe anyone to public knowledge.

      Could be lot's of factors and the CTE just set the stage for him to act on his worst impulses. Could be a combination of his upbringing and the CTE amongst other things. Lot's of things to consider rather than place it under one label. We aren't medical doctors or psychologists to give much of an educated, informed opinion on it though.

    2:47 no joe, you havnt played football. Not properly, have someone cross the ball from 30 yards at 60mph then you run towards the ball recoil your kneck then throw it forward quickly to meet the ball increasing the impact on the skull (brain) and if you catch it wrong like on top of the head and not the forehead that really hurts! I boxed for 2 years and played football at the highest level when i was younger i can tell you that when the ball catches you in yhe face or head at speed it can be worse than a punch!

      It’s a different standard of proof between civil and criminal courts, but being liable for someone’s rape is still rape. It means the jury thought he more than likely did it. 12 people heard the evidence and said yeah he’s responsible. Criminal proof ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ is notoriously hard to prove in rape cases. No pun intended.

    It's called a silent concussion. You can even get it from headbanging, whiplash once. It's when you get a concussion but don't go unconscious.
    The damage may indirectly affect your endocrine glands, but directly it's your gray matter that takes damage in the form of "hyperintensities" which are holes in your gray matter that never heal/fill in. Those holes - depending on where they are - will affect whatever function that part of the brain is supposed to carry out.
    I know this because for the past decade I have been on a Post-Concussion Syndrome (CTE while alive since CTE can only be diagnosed after death) protocol that included mediciine, lifestyle change with sleep diet and avoiding stress, and seeing a Neurologist and Psychoneurologist. So, if you do combat sports you should get a brain scan and see if you have PCS so you can get treatment before you become a Benoit or Andrew Hernandez. I didn't even know I had it until I was experiencing anger issues and losing entire blocks of time from my memory, even what I had for breakfast.

    • @hankdietz
      @hankdietz 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have issues with TBI and multiple concussions. I'm waiting to get authorization for a PET scan to check for CTE. It's not a regular thing yet but they have been doing clinical trials for around a decade. I think everyone in the study that was diagnosed from the PET scan, that has since passed away, CTE was confirmed after death.

The woman, who just had a kid, went out without her partner, partied all night, knew Conor before, sent Conor sexy pics, asked him to pick her up, went to hotel, with a work colleague in the next room (door open), had sex, sobered up next day, went home to boyfriend with bruises, and came up with the rape story.
