My friend thank you very much because with your video me and my father fix ours Makita HR2470 .my father say fortunately we are having people like you to help us!!!!
That mode selector was a pain in the rear to get seated correctly. This helped a lot! I got mine from work (concrete factory). It had a faulty trigger and the gear housing was VERY beat up (rubber torn to shreads). I ordered a new trigger and gear housing, and now I have a fully functioning rotary hammer for the price of a couple of parts. :)
Dude you have very helpful videos, I do work on my tools from time to time but when it comes to more detail repair its really helpful to see your videos. Currently working on my Makita Demolition Hammer HM1211B and majority is disassembled. I wish I had vise and nice work table but I live in apartment so I have to compromise with a lot of things. The problems with the hammer started probably a year a go when I started noticing the outside screws in the aluminum housing started to strip down just by using the hammer, should of know that something wasn't working properly, yesterday the hammer finally showed its problem by not delivering the hammer action as when everything was working properly. When I opened it I noticed the front piston both the metal inner and the plastic outer rings were broken and that must of been giving out all that vibration and were stripping the outer screws. Not sure if I just end changing piston rings on both the front and the drum piston ring just in case even though the drum piston rings are not broken, just in case also change the nylon washer because its of nylon plastic material... Excellent videos my friend and thanks a lot for posting them
hello, I have a very similar drill HR2610, I have taken everything apart and nothing looks ruined *eg chipped teeth" and as long as the main mechanics block is OUT, it seems that all works as it supposed to (engaging drill/hammer/combi) but as soon as I re-assemble everything into the case, the selector button gets stuck (thats the original fault) and you can only have "hammer only" and the only time that it engaged on simple spinning, i could not see the transmission gear (the one that gets drive from the motor shaft) turn. any idea which part is most likely? drill is from 2014 so not very old. thanks.
