Your compressor is on its way out, it will come back and become less and less intermittent and more permanent.
Make sure to change the relay at the same time as the compressor as it will be switching too often and burning itself out.
    Speaking from experience.

helo my friend, I had the same fault code AIR SUSPENSION FAULT and I purchased the KIT. Changed the piston ring and one of the O rings. Also the air chamber where it has millions of little balls , dryer I believe its called was wet, I put them little balls to dry in the sun. put it back together and the fault its gone. Now the 2004 XJR its happy. Running like a Champ.

Hi 😀 thanks for the comment the light hasn’t came on since but I have a repair kit ready for the pump if it starts playing up 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Looking to buy a lovely example of the x350, lastbof that shape. The ad says the light is on. Was very worried but watching this and alsobthe other comments has put my mind at rest. Looking forward to owning an XJ Sovereign. 😊

I have an x350 when you leave them for a few weeks you sometimes get this fault code. Nine times out of ten there's nothing wrong so don't worry too much good luck with it

Low battery, or and on my x350 bad earths behind the headlights on bulkhead both sides, plastic bolts , replace with steel bolt's, no more fault codes

Thanks for that I had a different fault once because of a low battery

I might be wrong, but I think I might have read that mixing the steel bolts with the aluminium body may not be the best idea. Allegedly zinc ones may be a better choice.

@@jaromor8808 you might be correct, they can react, though mine seem to be ok, and its about two years since i replaced the plastic bolts, the main thing is to get a good earth, to stop the false error messages

My 2003 XJ6 has this warning come up occasionally.
It seems to be after it has been raining a lot. When I bought it about 4 years ago it had a air suspension fault but no warning and was just not sitting right. Under the warranty they sent it to a Jaguar specialist and it was returned fixed but now occasionally it says air suspension fault but there is nothing wrong at all.
If I have not driven it for a while it might come up "car too low" but after a few seconds it's got back up and is fine.
Don't you find most things that go wrong with a Jag are sensor faults . Car is fine . So wish there were no sensors like a MK2 😇

Hi, if I leave the car in the garage and don’t use it for a couple of months it gets irritable with me and I get loads of sensor faults. I clear them all. I’ll get an odd one for a few days of using it and then they’re all gone again, for the next six months and then the next time I park it up again I start same problem again 😂

Mines being doing it off and on for 5 years since I got it, more in winter less in summer, I think it's the Scottish weather! Car runs fine, done 20,000 miles with this. No leaks anywhere.
Theoretically it triggers if the pressure isn't achieved in a specified time, but don't think it's the case with mine, it comes on after about half a mile or not at all, so don't really think it's the pump.
When it sits for about an hour it's gone, then may or may not come on again when restarted. Always been a mystery. I wonder if it might just be dampness causing crosstalk on the control circuit board or an iffy capacitor. It could be the pump slowly wearing out which you can repair with a kit from Bagpipingandy (goog it) but I'm not yet inclined to do it. Been down and up from Peterborough several times over the years to see my daughter, fault on all the way and not on all the way, in fact going down again next week. If you do the pump and it fixes it that would be good to know.
    keep movin, Rob

Hi Rob thanks for watching sorry In the delayed reply it could be the dampness mine hasn’t come on again since iv seen those kits I have one in the garage just in case but if it starts coming on more il make a video and we will see haha

I have just started getting these warnings.mines bin red twice and front of the car on tge floor.restart it and it lifted again. I think i have a leak on my passenger front air strut and when i go over humps you hear a hiss.i am guessing that over big bumps like speedhumps that it opens the split then reseals as suspension compresses again .had a look on prices and proper jag are over 800 quid each.not sure wether to go 2nd hand or repro but will have to wait a bit lol.i just avoid as many humps as possible.

I have the same problem with the air suspension fault light. The car rides perfectly, and is at the height , and level. If you take the car to a garage can they turn off the warning light? Regards John

Its just having a grump! absolutely. Only this week my 2008 daily driver Daimler Super 8 went "low ride hight" then sorted its self out! and not to be left out the wife's 2014 XK Dynamic R throw a "restricted performance" strop. Both appear to have cleared. I fear they are ganging up on me!!!

Have had 2 new struts and a new compressor but still get a air suspension fault come up and the car goes ridged. I switch it of and restart it and the fault goes ???

    • @Chris_GasolineGarage
      @Chris_GasolineGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi, thanks for watching it could be one of your height sensors. One of mine was sticking at it keeps saying error, suspension fault

  • @simonjoconnor59

Had same. Rebuilt the compressor (BPAndy), worked for a month or so then same. Replaced with 2nd user compressor, fixed then same fault again. My Jag Man says the issue is the struts leak slowly (can hear when it’s up on the ramp). Light comes on because the compressor is working fine but the pressure sensor doesn’t get to target in time, owing to the leakage. Fault comes and goes annoyingly. Only use the XJR 3 months a year so haven’t yet changed the struts, which look easy enough to change….It’d be pretty annoying to do so and still have the fault code owing to it being some kind of sensor issue, if anyone knows about these?

Update: also been advised that the XJR has ‘sports’ struts (C2C41346 Rear, C2C41354 Front from VIN G49701) vs ‘comfort’ on the standard cars.
