    Toby, great video. Question: Is this meant to replace the current material database or act as an extra to the standard database? It appears that you’re just adding to a database with a supplemental database that the users would then choose from. Cheers man…

      hi Steve! The "default" SolidWorks materials library is tagged as READ ONLY - so you can't really modify that. SolidWorks ships with an additional materials library database that IS editable, so you could certainly edit that database and add to it.
      Or you could create your own, NEW materials database, and then begin populating that with materials for your projects. That's what I do. This way it's easy to find the materials database file and properly back it up or share it with your co-workers.

      @ thanks Toby, I figured that we really didn’t want to edit anything in the default structure and the additional database is just for materials that we need more specifics on or isn’t in the SW default database.
