Allosaurus vs Tyrannosaurus (Claymation)

- I was like 14 yrs old when I made this, would be great if some of you would stop freaking out, it's just clay.
This was for my fellow Allosaurus fans who wanted to see something new.
I'm sorry T. Rex-fanboys, Tyrannosaurus would normally win this fight but just felt like mixing the results up for once. No need for immature behavior.
Both dinosaurs were based on the Jurassic Fight Club models, just that the Allosaurus' Crests have a different and more realistic shape.

Two observations:
1. Impressed with how distinctly each model looks like its respective dinosaur for such little detail.
2. Liked the blood spraying onto the camera from the roaring at the end.

Yo Fred. I just have to say that for a claymation from 12 years ago, I would say it's very good. I've seen your later claymations and those are unbelievably satisfying. This claymation was well done and I can tell it took lots of work. And the fact you made this at 14 years old. We gotta give props. I may be more of a t-rex guy but this was good. For the time this was made, I guess it was good to see allosaurus win for a change. T-rex has it's wins even against allosaurus on YT so it's all good. I'm sorry about all the people calling this claymation cap when animations are not supposed to reflect scientific accuracy although they could at times. They're mostly for entertainment and as far as this goes, I think you killed it. I'm proud of you for making many dinosaur fans' childhoods enjoyable. Many have felt nostalgic of this so you know it's a masterpiece. Keep up the great work.

This was one of my favorite videos as a kid. Over 11 years later, the "different lizard" is still my favorite dinosaur.
All these years later, and this is still one of the most awe-inspiring stop-motions I've ever seen. You can just _feel_ the power that these two creatures had. I don't even mind that the Allosaur won (Allosaurus is pretty cool anyway). This is an amazing short all around.

I remember watching this as a child and these models still look great
I love how these models have teeth made out of paper and their claws are distinctly coloured. His other animations don’t have those. It goes to show that he wanted this animation to be special and it really is. Still impressed!
as a 9 year old I hated this but as a 19 year old this is a masterpiece.

Not gonna complain about that outcome. That was the best-made claymation I've seen. Loved the camera angles. No need to get salty over Rex's loss when I appreciated how the battle was made more. Great job!

Got myself a little Allosaurus figurine at the museum today. Got me thinking about the contrast between it and the T-Rex, which is how I found this cool little video. Well done, sir.
I remember seeing this video as a kid, blew my mind. Still super impressive to me. "P.S. I am the allosaurus" is such an amusing little ending, totally something child me would say lol
I don't know why people on here are so offended when they see a animated clay dinosaur fight go not how they wanted it to go.

One on one in real life I think T-rex would be able to kill the Allosaurus due to it's bite force.
But Allosaurus did hunt in packs so if it's a pack of Allosaurus vs one T-rex I think the T-rex would eventually be taken down.

T. rex also hunted in packs, Saurophaganax could destroy them both with ease though.

Coming back to this after so many years as a 21-year-old makes me realize how little the outcome of the fight actually matters. The animation quality is what's impressive here.

T. rex REALLY was the dominant and most tough predator of all time (from the terrestrial predators, at least): they had the cruellest interspecies rivalry from all dinosaurs, which is suggested by the skeletons without half of a tail and even with BROKEN NECK!!! NECK, CARL!!!
Newest discoveries have also shown, that their nightmarish jaws were even able to crush off adult Triceratops's head and, probably, even bite through Ankylosaurus's armor (what is unsurprising, though, given their jaws could press with power of 4-6 tons, while Allosaurus's bite force was just comparable to Lion's or, in Saurophaganax's case, Tiger's ones).

honestly, i could see Allosaurus having the upperhand in this battle. T.rex was more used to fighting smaller and slower prey, so it would be hard for him to attack an adversary like Allosaurus, since even though its smaller its faster than what Tyrannosaurus would be use to. Allosaurus is used to fighting larger opponents, so he would have that on his side, Tyrannosaurus may have had a huge bite. But thats all he really has, Allosaurus had more weapons at his disposal as well. So, I can see Allosaurus having a better chance

T-rex isnt just bigger than allo with a bigger bite, it is also smarter and has binoculair vision. Allosaurus' skulls is also not that strong.

I don't see why everyone is complaining. It's a clay animation! Not real life! Just because Tyrannosaurus Rex was a bigger dinosaur with a scaled bite force doesn't mean it *should* win. Yeah, it does. It COULD actually be a Saurophaganax because that lived 151 million years ago, and Allosaurus lived 145 million years ago.
Saurophaganax is actually smaller then this but still good.
Saurophaganax can also be lumped with Epanterias and Allosaurus.

Dude, I used to watch this video when it was NEW. What a gem to see again, I love it. I grew up with Allosaurus as my favorite, I always thought T-Rex was overrated (And still do). Now in 2024, with 5 MILLION views? Jesus, truly peak TH-cam for it's time. No creator Drama, no Politics, just a video of Clay Dinosaurs kicking the hell out of each other. Love it.
(P.S, If anyone has those sound effects of the Allosaurus, I'd LOVE to see them, thank you ^^)
I guess the Allosaurus won because of it's long, strong and powerful arms. Tyrannosaurus didn't really have much use for it's arms which gave it disadvantage, but it did have a stronger bite force which is how it was able to counter the Allosaurus' first attack.Yet again, Allosaurus had a greater advantage in a familiar environment... I could go on and on.

Okay, I love Allosaurus and all, but I don't see how it could beat a T-Rex. I mean, the Tyrannosaurus weighed 7 tons to Allosaurus' 2 tons, had binocular vision and a bite which at around 12,000 psi (lb/in^2) could crush the bones of strong and sturdy herbivores like Triceratops (which I really doubt the Allosaurus could withstand). Rex had the durability to survive serious injuries that would kill most other animals. Allosaurus was extremely fast and agile for a theropod and could easily outpace Rex while also using his upper jaw like an axe to tear off chunks of flesh. When push comes to shove though, Rex is without question the stronger of the two. The only way I see Allo winning at all is by hit-and-run tactics so as to possibly wear Rex out, though I still feel that technique would fail more often than not unless he got lucky and managed to hit some vital spot while swiftly avoiding those crushing jaws. Anyway, just giving my two cents. I really enjoyed the video! :)

Jeremy Fitzgerald There was actually a piece of ankle bone found in Cape Paterson, Victoria in 1981 that was thought to have belonged to Allosaurus. However it isn't confirmed, and the bone could possibly have been from Australovenator, a genus of megaraptor (which, depending on who you ask, could be an allosaurid, tyrannosaurid, cacharodontosaurid, or whatever else they are speculated to be).

It's good that you wanted your favorite dino to win, but T. Rex is still larger, stronger and has a more powerful bite than Allosaurus. So if you wanted to make the fight realistic, then T. Rex should have won.
If the allosaur was alone cause allo hunts in packs
Allosaurus is also smarter and more agile, but strength wise, tyrannosaurus wins. Strategy wise however, allosaurus definitely wins.
Dragon Lvr T. rex was smarter than Allosaurus. Dont get me wrong, I love this fight and I really think it could go either way, just don't try to explain something from a subject you clearly dont know anything about.
Oh I know quite a bit about dinosaurs, their time periods (Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous) their habitats during their time, whether or not the lived together as herds, packs or alone. I'm such a fanatic that I have a dinosaur handbook app on my iPod.

The animation looks pretty awesome, so are the clay models. I'm not a fan of dinosaur battles, as dinosaurs actually were just very large animals, but this animation is great, talented and interesting to watch.

Dislikes only because of T-Rex fans. This is just video created for fun and he really spend much time to make this. Whatever Allosaurus might won battle. Allosaurus is maybe slighty smaller and weaker jaws but he used his head like axe so he could make bite 15 times more which is even more than T-Rex. Dont forget Allo massive hands with claws. Also we was way faster and agile so he could easily tired T-Rex. Anyway its not point who wins. This animation is really fun and internesing with hard work and we need respect that

This is awesome! The allosaurus was an agile Hunter (guessing how fast he did that tail hit and gash to the face and stuff) and had long arms to slash into prey. Sure, it didn’t have a bite-breaking bite like the T. rex, but how can a T. rex beat a dinosaur that can litterally gash and slash it’s teeth onto prey like a battle axe? I loved the way you made cut out paper teeth to the dinosaurs!
A recent study states that t rex and other relatives had great agility, with the capability of moving as if it were half the weight...
T rex weight: 7-8 tons × 1/2 = 3-4 tons

THOUGH, T rex had binocular vision, meaning it could see infront of it but allo couldn't, it need to look to the side to even see t rex. And T rex had a thicker hide.
