मैथिल समाज की महीलाये भी अब कुछ कर रही है.
मैथिल समाज मे 12---13 साल मे शादी कर दी जाती थी और पढाते लिखाते नही थे लेकिन अब मैथिल बेटिया भी इंजीनियर डांक्टर और आई.ए.एस. और आई.पी.एस. हो रही है.हमारे गांव की बेटिया भी अब पढ लिखकर कुछ कर रही है.हमारी बहन तो बी.ए. पास करके 1993 मे बी.ए. पास करके गृहणी केवल बन कर रह गयी.लेकिन दिदी अपने बेटी को अपने से बाहर रखकर पढा रही है.ताकी हमारी बेटी पति के सहारे न रहे.

I congratulate the World women's day & I proud to feel The Indian Railways is taking major roll by involving women power in its various departments as Station master's, commercial staff, train checking, Running staff like Guards, Loco Piolets, & RPF, Engineering staff, Medical staff etc ...however I PROUD TO BE A RAILWAY OFFICIAL & congratulate to the entire Rly women staff on this auspicious occasion...
Railway has regularly doing big drama on the day of International Women's Day. But actually Railway Board has written a letter to Central Government ( DOPT ) not to recruit women as running staff. But the Government of India ( DOPT ) denied the same.
