For those wondering. He didn’t destroy the beach, he sped up a natural process (likely with permission). When water builds up near a beach like this, it will eventually erode the sand and make a path to the ocean and flood out. The ocean will rebuild the beach within a couple of days, and the process will repeat itself after another big rainfall. It’s totally natural, doesn’t destroy ecosystems, and it’s pretty fucking cool.
@@Unholy_Triforce it’s a very common phenomenon. Doesn’t take years, often time it can take one large rainfall, which is what I would assume happened here. In California, this happens all the time following large storms, especially earlier this year. California will often times send people out to do it in controlled settings, in closed areas of the beaches, so that the drainage doesn’t occur elsewhere that may damage roads, homes, etc.
Surfers have dug trenches at Waimea Bay in Hawaii to create a surfable wave from floodwaters. The trench allows trapped water to reach the ocean, creating a standing wave. On days with heavy floods, the waves can reach up to 30 feet.
@@missbread3618 that's most likely a joke that he's ruining a beach. He's draining that river into the sea to prevent flooding in nearby areas and the fact that it's been posted on TH-cam means it's legal

For everyone who is wondering, this always happens at this location. It's called an estuary and it happens annually I think
nope, this is actually incredibly bad for the river ecosystem and the immediate ocean life. It's very harmful. Estuaries gradually connect to the ocean
Thank god. The amount of problems this would cause to the ecosystem and geography if this wasnt something that happened regularly enough for the sea life and river life to get used to is insurmountable.
@@graveyardmonarch1629 Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can get into a lot of trouble for doing this
this isn't an estuary. he created this. an estuary is the zone where a river and sea meet NATURALLY, not assisted by man. so yes, they have hurt the ecosystem by doing this
Yes and I'm guessing an estuary happens at this location during high tides anyways as it seems like it didn't take much effort to connect the river and the ocean. This shouldn't hurt the ecosystem. @@ayshaarzon1700

This is not destructive. It is done to prevent flooding.
“With this tiny shovel” proceeds to bring multiple ppl and big shovels
For those wondering.
He didn’t destroy the beach, he sped up a natural process (likely with permission). When water builds up near a beach like this, it will eventually erode the sand and make a path to the ocean and flood out. The ocean will rebuild the beach within a couple of days, and the process will repeat itself after another big rainfall.
It’s totally natural, doesn’t destroy ecosystems, and it’s pretty fucking cool.
That matrual process would have likely taken many many years though, without soemthing like big storms happening
Yea ok. Trust you bro
@bigbillybadass trust the people who lived there for their entire lives, bro
"Likely with permission" there is no indication or evidence that this was done with permission
Why does bro look so proud about saying that the beach will be destroyed in 10 minutes 💀
Homie a villain
I was just about to say that💀
Surfers have dug trenches at Waimea Bay in Hawaii to create a surfable wave from floodwaters. The trench allows trapped water to reach the ocean, creating a standing wave. On days with heavy floods, the waves can reach up to 30 feet.

It isn't irreversible lol. This is completely legal in many states and can be done by anyone. It is often done to smaller bodies of water to increase or decrease water levels, increase or decrease the salinity of the water, help water Quality, or move marine organisms
Irreversibly lmao . It takes less than 24 hrs to be back to the normal's beach shape😂
So that pool of water is from a high tide or storm so I came from the ocean. It's just going back to the ocean.
Dont be a sheep, There actually isnt much we could do to the planet thats truly irreversible!
