Oh something that may help to clean impacted fans like that get hvac coul cleaning brushes. There plastic medium stuff Brisssles ussaly come in a 10 back for under 10 bucks. These are great for cleaning out debris of electrical boxes dealing with just nasty greasy stuff and if you get them cheap enough toss them for the 30 cents they are in bulk. Every tool bag has one or 2 and they clean squrel cage fans safely and not gouging it with a screwdriver.
The screw driver was cleaning it nice but yea definitely not effencent enough but I seen it didn't make a difference good info tho I need to carry some plastic brushes
Thats a nice looking ladder I use that one at home. I like how slim that one folds it fits into slim places on the van or truck. Im tall as a tre so the 2 step one gets me to most ceilings and lowes has that one in 2 step for only 60 bucks. I put in a fair amout of thoes fans and like how much bad sheetrock it covers. When we get that delema we look around and pull romex for hard power from a local source in the box or hardwired smoke alarm boxes for the fan as long as too much isnt on the curcit. This is important in rentals they cant turn off the humidity fans as long as they have the sensor on them and the light is separate. We always take out the switches for turning off the fan so people have to use them when they have built in humidity sensors. A tip when the shetrock isnt dead perfect or you need to seal around the fan we use hvac foil tape around the edges and it holds up well. That was a great hour with you watching you work!
It is nice, it definitely weighs more than my aluminum one but I have to be professional thanks for the input I definitely needed the change. I shouldn't be working on electrical with a aluminum step stool
Go vessel usb 3 speed or dewalt gyro. The dewalt 8v gyro can put a 3in deck screw into a 2x4 should cover your needs not much bigger than the wiha. Vessel us smaller than wiha too. I know you like insulated but may be time if you ant get thay working. The vessel is 2nm vs the wiha 1.4 ish
how you liking the new van? i got a transit back at the start of 2023, was hesitant at first, but after a year and a half with it my god is it life changing for the work we do. no more loading and unloading the truck or getting your tools wet, so much room for everything in it too. i love mine
Dam, you just paid $200 for that power screwdriver wonder if you used it as a hammer 😂Didn’t you just buy 50 of those exhaust fans?😊 Bottom line you navigated through all those obstacles. Great job 👍👍
😆 🤣 😂 I know right, that's why it was bothering me I have to figure it out, I'm out in the boonies can't start burning stuff up. Yea the screw driver let me down lol 😆 u just have to put dirt in my wound don't cha!! Lol I still love it but I love how u asked if I used it at a hammer cus u know me, EVERYTHING is a hammer if u could set ur mind to it lol but sadly I didn't use it as a hammer . But I'm growing to love the screw driver. Thanks bro!!!
So what went wrong with the one that was installed is that the motor went bad. These new exhaust fans are using a DC motor instead of regular AC motors that exhaust fans typically have which unfortunately will start making harder to just replace certain parts in the exhaust fans that’s why I don’t agree with these new fixtures that have integrated LEDs instead of just light sockets. For my self this practice that companies are doing is annoying. But for a handy man or electrician this would help keep them busy. Since most of the time the average person wouldn’t know how to replace these sort of things. Also fyi there’s a new code out there that bathroom exhaust fans now half to be on a timer switch. There a times when an exhaust fan is left on for example over night while your asleep and if the motor goes bad the motor locks up which then would cause them to heat up which lead to some house fires.
I didn't knowthe new code with the timer but yea I ended up taking that fan apart at home and it think it was something wrong with the circuit board. I kept hearing something click
That's if they would allow me to switch it back. Don't forget about zoning. But I heard the town is easy to work with. But the property was in super bad shape
@thehandymanexperience226 I've worked with zoning boards before in smallish towns, and they usually do work with you if you show genuine intent on improving the property. Where I'm from, we need more housing so they would be happy to allow it to be changed from a duplex if I remodeled a run down property. Use it as leverage and make them aware how much time and money you've invested, and reinforce the need for more affordable housing in your area. I bet you'll be successful
I cleaned alot of it out and tested with no real change. And ended up bringing it home and playing with it. I took the fan blade off and it was still having issues. The problem was definitely in the circuit board I heard something that kept on clicking
Ahhh. That attic work is painful. I have done plenty of that over the years. I feel for you, man. 😂
Yea attic work is no fun!!!
Yay! Another electrical video! I also looked up the fan. Looks like a nice unit? Glad to see the Wago 221’s! Awesome job!
Yea used the wagos incase I goofed to flop wires and there perfect but nailed it the first time
Hey man I enjoy your videos. I usually learn something. Also just wanted to say that your hair is doing really good. Take care.
That's awesome 👌 I try to put extra info or problems I run into. Thanks about time it better start growing in hahaha

Yea coil cleaning brushes they like like mini combs or brooms get a 20 back while your at it you won't be sorry.

Might want to try the skil adjustable screw driver. Pretty strong and head rotates. On sale at Lowe’s at stocking stuffer prices. Thanks for video!
That's a good idea, i really fell in love with the drill that I got cus there is 2 torque settings . I'm sure the skil has it too. Thanks!!!
@@thehandymanexperience226the Milwaukee m12 screwdriver is the one. I use it every day.

Yea I don't really care about insulated but I only bought that stuff cus of utube.
Look at you selling the new fans already, NICE !
Lol I was just lucky u know I don't like installing them. Why would a dude buy them if he don't Wanna sell then lol 😂

I love it, I don't know how I worked out of my small truck. Definitely a game changer. I didn't want to buy a new truck yet but I had to
I worked out of a ford 2500 transit van. Lots of storage and head room but no fun in the snow or cross winds.. glad I’m retired now don’t miss it.
I wish we could get those in the UK. They all seem to be brittle plastic here when I have to do this job.
Really? They have plastic housings?
@@thehandymanexperience226 Yup. And they break if you look at them wrong.
I use the slower speed Vessel Knob screwdriver for light stuff, that's a fancy fart fan.
It is, lol 😆 definitely got one over on me!@

Great work. Was that milwaukee hat the one with the bump cap in it?
Yea it is lol I hate wearing hats but it's definitely nice I can't complain!!
@thehandymanexperience226 dude, it looked like just a regular hat. That's why I had to ask
@@aaronsherwood4835 yea it is, that's the cool thing I just bought a hat and put the insert it.
if you buy that property again, you should definitely convert it back to a duplex. duplexes PRINT money.
That's if they would allow me to switch it back. Don't forget about zoning. But I heard the town is easy to work with. But the property was in super bad shape

That fan has so much lint in it it might just need to be vacuumed out and lubed up.
I cleaned alot of it out and tested with no real change. And ended up bringing it home and playing with it. I took the fan blade off and it was still having issues. The problem was definitely in the circuit board I heard something that kept on clicking
You need to use time - lapse more often. I enjoy watching, usually, but this was frustratingly slow.
@@r.jsmith8979 ok I get ya, appreciate the honesty
all that dust in that motor cant imagine why it died
Hahaha 😆
These engineers are a joke . How they expect odors to vent thru that small opening ?
I get ya, who knows haha
More for humidity control rather than 💩 smell
@KamalasVACANTwomb it says on the box for orders but yes I get what ur saying
