Learning about class 2 malocclusion because my 3 different orthos clearly didn't. After a decade of "camouflage" treatment (braces twice, Invisalign once), I still have a class 2 malocclusion with a deep bite and extremely recessed jaws because they extracted 4 of my premolars and retracted both jaws. I have a narrow airway, jaw pain, and a host of other issues, not to mention the damage it has done to my self-esteem. Now maxillofacial surgeons are telling me I have the "ideal bite" even though my teeth are visibly retroclined. The gaslighting is on another level. People around me who don't know a thing about occlusions tell me how they can't distinguish where my lower jaw ends and my neck begins but these "highly educated" doctors don't think it's a problem. My lips literally do not close at rest so I'm constantly straining my facial muscles to close them. Dear future orthos, please do not fuck up other people's lives like this. Camouflage treatment isn't a one-size-fits-all solution!
You have drawn diagram wrong ......molar relationship in starting...it should be....distobuccal cusp but you marked mesiobuccal cusp as distobuccal one...at ...2:38 Btw you teach...very nicely ...and clear all the concepts
I have class 2 div 1 and my ortho suggested me to remove upper premolar and lower premolars both do i need to extract my teeths and if i extract it dies it affect my facial profile in negative way
