It is extremely rare but the DSI does have in the case of need also acces to Machine Guns like the M249 (how people call them in US) or even RPG's.

Those guys don’t mess around. Back in 2013 my brother did something stupid against our neighborhood officer. He basically threatened his life in a rage and ren away. 1 week later at 5 AM, BOOOM! These Mf’s in the living room after blewing up our door😂 My brother is not a bad guy btw but they take threats very serious over here since most people with weapons wich are very few actually will shoot.

the whole idea behind it is quick huge ammounds of presure X D just kicking the door would open it after a while, a ram in a few hits and a explosive will just remove the door.

here in the Netherlands in an Agent required by law and retained to use the force and his service weapon or tazer according to the situation and the danger and violence AGAINST HIM ! . so if you come up to him WITHOUT a weapon , he may NOT pull a firearm or tazer . ONLY the pepper spray and such.
if you approach him with only a knife, he may NOT pull a firearm. ONLY the pepper spray and tazer.
if you come up to him with a firearm and he can stop you by hitting you in the shoulder or arm or legs, he is obliged by law to try this first, if this does not work, only then can he aim at the torso to stop you . these are rules for normal police.
So here you are not allowed to use a tazer because someone does not want to get out of his car like in that crazy America.
here they just have to pull someone out of the car. but fight that one back then pepper spray is allowed. but not the tazer because then the agent can safely step back from the danger .

Right. So how many people have the DSI killed by shooting them in the legs? Oh, it seems your 'facts' don't quite match up with statistics. Yes, arterial bleeding from the leg can be lethal in a very short time, but has it occurred to you that there is a thing called first aid? Unlike in the US, we don't leave bleeding suspects cuffed on the ground. There is always immediate medical response available. Regardless, the argument that leg shots can be lethal is just moronic anyway, since the alternative is shooting the suspect in the chest. Bullet wounds on the chest are much more dangerous and are also much harder to treat.
The chance of missing is higher, but how does this create a risk for yourself? You did watch the video, but I think you just stopped when you heard about leg shots and didn't watch any further. They specifically mention the scenario's in which they would shoot for the chest or the legs. If the officer shoots to protect himself or others from immediate danger, they shoot at the chest. They only shoot at the legs in scenario's where the suspect tries to flee and must be stopped right now. The suspect is not an immediate threat to people at this point.
If you miss, the bullet could ricochet and hit someone behind the suspect. Then ask yourself, why the hell are you shooting at a suspect if there are people behind him? Even if you hit a suspect in the chest, overpenetration can still occur and injure people behind the suspect. You simply don't shoot at suspects if there is someone else behind them, regardless of what body part you're targeting.
The US police argues for shooting suspects in the chest until they drop for several reasons, none of which apply to the DSI. US police officers have very little training, with some police forces only requiring a few months of training. Dutch police training takes about 6 times as long as the average US training. These officers don't even carry firearms, that requires even more time. And when we get to the DSI, these are all experienced officers or soldiers that received an additionial training specifically for DSI tasks. This additional training takes longer than the average US police officer's training. The US officers also barely train with firearms, while the DSI has intensive weekly trainings. Liability is another reason. US police officers are allowed to assess the situation and decide if the situation warrants the use of a firearm, but there is no distinction between firing one shot or an entire magazine. If they deem the situation risky enough to fire, they might as well make sure the suspect is dead. The US has no real system for making sure the right amount of force was applied. If shots are fired, the police departments simply investigate the situation themselves. There is no outside group to hold them accountable for their use, and the amount, of force. In the Netherlands, all shooting incidents are investigated by the Rijksrecherche, an organisation under the public ministry independent of the police.
