GREAT concept and a good performer, but the build quality was atrocious until the later 2000’s, and the maintenance needs far exceeded most owners’ mindsets and budgets.
I owned this car back in high school 2001 blue with gray leather, a glx at the time. It was so freaking fun, solid and safe. Miss it.

I bougt a 98 5sp in 2018 and it's the car I kept the longest, even though it is the slowest, I still have it and enjoy it every time I drive it
