Luka Doncic trade echoes Eagles trading Donovan McNabb - Ross Tucker | Dan Patrick Show | NBC Sports
/ nbcsports
Comparing Luka & McNabb is like comparing a 25 yr old Jokic or Kobe to Carson Palmer… Insanity. This is actually like trading Mahomes or Allen (if he made the Super Bowl last season) right now for Matthew Stafford.
Mcnabb got traded when he was 34 and washed. Luka is 25...
yeah they were just spit balling and talking about a shocking move they remembered. the mcnabb trade isn't really comparable, BUT it was shocking. if anyone is pretending they weren't shocked by the mcnabb trade to the 'skins, they're lying. which is TOTALLY fine for me.
Yeah, the age is the key for me as to why it’s so confusing. People are arguing Doncic peaked already but you just can’t really know that
@ nobody thinks luka isn’t 25.
This is the same organization that let Brunson go for free. So slow down on how great these talent evaluations are
We love Ross Tucker! Can never get enough of him Dan
McNabb ? What a horrifically bad analogy
he didn't say it was an analogy.
You will NEVER, EVER, EVER see or hear an interview with Ross Tucker that he does not fundamentally make about himself, usually (as here) right off the bat.
Great basketball and hockey roundup
Dodgers trading Piazza would be one in the baseball world
that was for sure shocking. but also not star for star. not sure we've seen one of these ever before. all-pro for all-pro is wild. and awesome.
They traded him because hes got a nagging calf injury that refuses to help repair it. The big bet in vegas now is who , Who Luca or Lebron will be out do to injury .50 / 50 chance .
That’s good news for Dallas
obviously super bowl predictions are 50/50 so it's not really a hot take, but i think tucker is right with his pick. until someone beats them, this is the chiefs' world and we're just blah blah blah.
Its more like Gretzky
The NY Giants didn't have the O-line to use Barkley.. so if he stayed, they were still a mediocre team.
How do thank a guy who did what Luka did for the Mavs? You cost him 120 million on the way out. I would argue he is worth more with the extension in place. Terrible trade short term and long term. To me this is an organizational failure. What top free agent is going to sign with them in the future after what they cost Luka?
i'm not sure how to tell you this, so i'll just come right out and say it: the "to me" part of your take is the least of anyone's worries involved in this trade.
Worse. This is like trading Nique to the Clippers!
Hey does anyone what university Ross attended? He’s never mentioned it before so I’m just curious!
I think Dan is referring to the drinking but 🤷🏾♂️
I think maybe the new management was thinking that, if Luka is struggling with his weight at this age, what will it be like 30? Plus the weight has to be a factor in some of these injuries; yes, it’s pro sports and everybody gets hurt but it has to take a toll on his joints and ligaments. The guy has the best resources available via the nba and being very wealthy. He just needs to get it together. Now, having said that stuff, I have to believe there were other factors at play that we will learn about soon…
