I'm not sure why Otto is so worried about keeping the playstyle of each card type so distinct from each other. Nobody who plays FGO chooses what characters they play based of the card type playstyle - they have a servant they like and whatever card type they have is what they use. We should giving players the option to play characters the way they want. If someone wants to go fast with an arts servant or go slow with a quick servant who is being hurt by enabling those team comps? If this were a PvP game with a meta to balance I could understand the concern but since FGO isn't I think giving players the freedom to play how they want is the way to go. Apologies if I misunderstood an argument, just responding the way I understood things were being discussed.
For Summer Kuro. I think she is a great support. Sure she isn't the next coming of Koyan let alone Castoria. But she does enable things nobody else does (Arash could technically loop before but Kuro makes it actually viable, Spartacus can now do it with a 50% CE) Yes on the high end it doesn't matter. But if you are looping a free quest, and have a bond 15 Castoria (or a lower bond Castoria and want to take more time to get bond on said Castoria) she can replace a meta support if you use a 1 star or 2 star DPS, and your damage is even not that bad (He can beat an NP1 Morgan on 2 of 3 waves and comes very close on the other 1). Plus Kuro's DPS is very good too.
I think Qin Liangyu is actually closer gameplay wise to Barghest than some think, both want to spam their NPs then fire off face cards, Barghest to get Skill CD and tankiness and Qin to gain multiples of all her NP buffs and debuff the enemy, I think Qin just doesn't have the longevity that makes Barghest feel good. Qin very often for me snowballs in CQ and higher end quests, but she's more fragile and can run out of gas if she gets her buffs removed/blocked/ or the enemy debuff cleanses. I don't regret my investment and hope we get a crazy buff to her one day, maybe give her a set amount of counter hits that act as Arts cards like Bazzett's counters being Quick cards.
Nursery Rhyme is my vote for worst SR. Her damage is non-existent. She has 10% less self charge than Helena or Cas Gil, let alone spread charge. She has less damage than Helena even if the NP damage up fails, let alone Cas Gil. She has less support than Helena, let alone Cas Gil. You can bring up crits. but she has no way of enabling them herself as a triple arts deck arts servant. Meanwhile Gil has more crit damage modifiers and much easier access to crits.
I do agree that we don't really need another big AOE arts looper this summer. Though they do seem to love doing that so maybe it'll happen regardless...
Removing SRs: Rama and Fionn because they keep spooking me. Stheno because I can't really find much use for her and I don't want to get spooked by her, sorry Stheno fans. Yamanami was probably added because one of the female VAs (I think it was Yuuki Aoi?) wanted him playable. Would be nice if he was better though (even though I don't have him). I still occasionally use Summer Kuro to avoid having to use an Order Change MC, but I agree she's not a must-have on the same level as Castoria or Oberon. The purge in Anti-Purge isn't referring to buff removal, we're talking ousting people from a political party or (more likely) literal genocide. If they ever do dudes for summer, I have the feeling that they'll go the safe route and have Astolfo and/or d'Eon to test the waters first. Dioscuri would also be a safe option because one's female. Summer Kama claims to be 70% Mara, but Parvati says she's no different from normal (40% Mara). Just a random thing I brought up on Reddit: Pretender Medea for Summer that looks like Lily but is actually the adult one and is extremely pissed she's stuck in a child's body. p.s. Not to be pedantic, but Qin is pronounced closer to "chin", and absolutely not "kin". p.p.s. Speaking as someone who's also of Chinese descent, Plushie occasionally dips into a sliiiiiight accent that sounds ESL.

I want a new summer mordred, I struggled to get my singular copy way back when now she's whatever. I 2k fou'd and 100'd her and never use her so they should make a welfare summer mordred alter literally just for me. Also Emiya because I think he's overrated and kinda trash and I'm tired of him showing up in my rolls.
Don't hold your breath, unless we get a Mordred Alter before summer, her getting a second summer form is next to impossible. Arthoria only has this perk because of how many variations she has. Bot Mordred has only one design.
I think that the worst SR servant in the game that we can hypothetically delete and no one even notice is Qin Liangyu(aka that chinese lancer that no one remembers exists). She is so bad that I see no reason to ever use her. I can take ungrailed 2star servants that could be more fun and efficient to play. She is so useless that I don't remember whether I have her on my main account or not.

Fixing Summer Gareth is super simple: If she's in 3rd ascension and gets down to critical health she reverts back to 2nd ascension.
