Great finds Rob, Say hello to Al. We still have lots of rain and there is too much water in the fields. Unfortunately, the forecast says more rain is coming our way. Absolutely not possible to go on the muddy fields. It's two months ago that I was detecting. Stupid weather conditions.

hi Rob and Al you had some good finds on that garden Rob i dont think Al enjoyed the garden hunt that much LOL but picked up for him in the field and the buckle was a nice find your pendant was a good find shame it was only silver plated but it was a descent hunt we cannot find gold and silver all the time ,,,,would be nice though ,,,,looked like you enjoyed the day and i think with a few descent finds turning up as they did , that is what the hobby is all about especially if we dont find any gold or silver LOL best wishes and take care both,,,,Pat

You got one easy goin landowner there lettin you loose on the lawns, gardens and filming there. Usually always the case the gardens and lawns are full of junk. Not a sniff of silver, a good dose of real metal detecting

Hi there , many thanks my friend and we are so lucky finding what we do but we have so much history over here going back long before the Romans even thought of invading us , as for the value of the finds it ranges from a few pounds to about £ 1000 according to the experts ? , as regards converting the value of currency from Pounds sterling to Dollars in the 1700s for example is practically impossible because the value of Gold fluctuated constantly in those days , and the value of the English pound and US currency was thrown into complete dissaray when Louisiana started printing it's own money to pay the troops during the war of independence in the late 1700s , the closest comparison is that in the 1700s 1 pound sterling was worth about 2.365 US Dollars forget the small change my friend 😂, hope that helps ATB Rob .
