We were split into 2 or 3 groups that we liked to sit and talk with. Mikoron and I were in different groups. She was by far the best in acting and singing. She was so good that I thought, "This is perhaps not the place for me...!" I was so shook. I was like, "So this is exactly how a pro should be! Exactly how a seiyuu should be!" (Mikoron: Ahh I didn't know you felt that way about me!) Ayasa on Mikoron: I remember we greeted each other during the morning of the Alice audition. My first impression was she was really kind. After winning the audition, we had to travel to another event. In the taxi, there was Mimori-san, Mikoron, me, and my mom. I was still in a state of shock from the result, and then Mikoron and Mimori-san started firing questions at me, like, "Have you recovered? Are you okay?" I recall Mikoron being very nice to me. We all had an really awesome chat in the car. (Mikoron: Usually people lose the ability to talk after winning an event like this, but Ayasa wasn't like that. Ayasa's amazing.) Mikoron on Aimin: During the audition we had a segment where everyone was paired up to ask each other questions. I was paired up with Aimin. Also she wore green that day. (Aimin: Since it was Elly's audition, I wanted to wear green to match her colour.) I saw that and was really impressed, like, this girl is really smart! Then the night after the audition ended, since those of us who lived outside of Tokyo were staying in the same hotel, we all squeezed into Aimin's room and talked. Gave me words of encouragement and so on. We didn't feel like we were rivals. (Aimin: Everyone was really nice.) My impression of you hasn't changed since then. Aimin is still as amazing as she was back then. (Aimin: I'm glad~) Ayasa on Aimin: Should I talk about the Osaka preliminaries for the Elly audition or should I talk about the Alice one? (Aimin: Osaka? Did we meet?) We did! You were wearing green. (Mikoron: Back then too?!) I remember there was this cute girl in green. We were trying to progress from the 2nd round to 3rd round, and I remember saying that the green girl will probably make it through. Mikoron on Ayasa: During the audition, Aimin didn't have a say on who was to become her partner, is that right? (Ayasa: Oh, Aimin didn't have a say?) (Aimin: Yup, I couldn't vote for anyone.) Ayasa was Entry No. 1, right? (Ayasa: Right.) Once she came out and did the voice acting segment, I was like, "It's gotta be her." (Ayasa: Ehhhh! I'm so happy!) I really felt that. Your voice was so cute, I was like, "That's Alice!" Also the fact that you're a high schooler made a big impression. (Ayasa: I also really enjoyed voicing the lines live with Milky and Aimin.) Aimin on Ayasa: On the day before the final audition, there was a meeting with the Alice contestants. I was asked to stand next to them. (Mikoron: To see the height differences?) Other than this, I remember Ayasa came across as being really brave and confident. (Ayasa: More so than now. I wasn't really feeling nervous at all.) (Mikoron: During the audition? Amazing!) (Ayasa: Yea, I wasn't like, trembling or anything.) Yeah, I was really impressed by her composure.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot Rimirin also was in the Alice audition. It's really heartwarming to see the humble beginnings of Aimi and now with Ayasa. They've grown to become better voice actresses and singers.
its been said a million times but now its my turn to say it. its really cool how much influence this audition had in the making of bang dream, feels like an anime story
Oh wow, I never knew that about Rimi. She's probably the Popipa member I know about the least (since she is also the most reserved), so glad to learn something new.
Thank you for another video! Although she stopped releasing singles during this time (I wonder how she felt), maybe this was just another door to her dreams. Looking forward to the next chapter! Thanks for watching! I really admire how Aimi is always breaking out of her comfort zone and trying new things. Debuted as a seiyuu, began a solo singing career, hosted TV and radio shows, ventured into idol stuff, led a band to Budokan, acted in a movie, established a fashion brand, became a TH-camr, the list goes on...
I didn’t know that “We’re The Stars” didn’t do so well on Oricon charts. It’s sad bc I adored the song :/ Seeing footage of the Alice audition always makes me smile, knowing what the future holds for them all. I should also look for more live Feathers performances. I believe Bushiroad no longer holds public auditions like these anymore. These auditions were for a specific role (Elly and Alice) and the closest I can think of is for Bandori's Rinko in 2018, which was won by Shizaki Kanon. The audition was held behind closed doors. I do a bit of research (Google!) and most of the time I come across these clips on TH-cam, Bilibili, or Niconico. I was afraid people would find these compilations boring, so I'm really glad to hear that you're enjoying them!
Hibiki held a joint audition with S-inc and Ace Crew in 2019. From that we got D4DJ seiyuu Hazuki Himari, Kagami Karin, and Nishio Yuka (who is also in Morfonica). There was another joint audition last year, but I haven't hear much from the winners yet.
