After exploring Nuku Hiva we sail to the next island Ua Pou with its remarkable peaks. The whole bay seems completely full of Outremers with Inky, Jams, Endless, Ningyo, Vitia, Akaroa and PiedraLibre all next to each other on a stern anchor

So funny to see shovels going to the divers... When we dive in about 50 feet of water, the dive profile is 60 feet for 1 hour, but the dive masters always tell us that to hit that we would have to dig! .. and here they are digging!

Have you reconsidered the decision rotating/non-rotating mast for reefing?

So far the reefing hasn’t been a problem at all. We did it both pointing into the wind and dead downwind stalling the main without much of an effort.
It does help that our DFI main in combination with the roller ball bearing cars comes down really easy.
It also helps that you only have to reef the 55 at pretty high winds so looking at the forecast you should have seen it coming in most cases so you can prepare the reefing upfront.
As far as you can compare 55’s with different setup not having a rotating mast doesn’t seem to have impacted our performance either
