I planted my sweet potato slips here in zone 8b on May 13th in containers. It’s my first time growing them. How often should I treat with neem oil? I’ve been seeing spiders. I already treated once about a week ago.
I’m in 8b also (South Alabama) I treat every other week because I became overrun with aphids early spring. More of a preventative measure and have not had a problem since. 1 week neem 1 week BT. Let me know how it goes you are about 10 days ahead of me in planting the sweet potatoes.
I planted my sweets at the end of May. I'm wondering if they'll produce bc the soil seems compacted now. But I haven't had too much of a problem with the bugs.
@ericwilliams1124 the best thing is just keep the soil moist and wait. Hopefully you’ll have a harvest by October. When the plants start to flower it’s telling you it’s time.
