It's so much more inviting and relaxing to come home to a made bed than a messy or unmade bed. I'm also a firm believer of cleaning as you go while cooking. Having a huge pile of dishes in the sink after cooking makes it so much harder to want to clean up afterwards. Clean as you go and the cleanup is minimal after you're done cooking. Makes things a lot less complicated!!

Your home is very beautiful! I have a tip to share: I never have to buy a rinse aid or a cleaner for my dishwasher. I keep a small bowl or a small measuring cup (right side up) in my dishwasher and add about a cup of distilled white vinegar before every load. It just splashes out during the cycle. It helps to rinse the dishes and clean the dishwasher at the same time. After years my dishwasher is still sparkling clean.

The previous owner of our home never cleaned our stove top so it was caked on so badly with gunk that I had to scrape mine and ended up scratching it years ago when we first moved it. This was a lovely video. I use a plastic store bag for my trash when meal prepping. I tie it in a knot and toss in the trash. It’s not cute like your trash bowl, but it’s easy peasy. You can also use plastic store bags when cooking seafood. Place the bags filled with seafood remnants in the freezer if taking out trash the next day. This really cuts down on the seafood smell.

I really appreciate your tip about using the Magic Eraser on the walls. I had never thought of doing that before! My walls and doors are white and the walls have the orange peel finish on them so it is kind of a challenge to keep them clean. Definitely going to try that! Christina Griffith Try it. You won’t regret it. 1 tablespoon for a whole load. I use it along with a little laundry detergent (you can use it on its own) and clothes come out so clean! Very economical + safe for the environment.
