The way they treated her is wrong she might be smart but she is not a diva. She is just very hardworking and wants to do well with her studies. Sure thing the way she acted in class was wrong but the parents put the preasure on her to be perfect and succeed with the studies that she is determinded to make it farther. Some people just want to solve a problem like why mother's kid being lately scared and had bad grades or talk to manager not because they like it, but maybe a waiter or a waitress was rude for her with no reason or reason that only the waiter or the waitress knew. I'm a introvert and I couldn't deffend myself against bullies when I was in school. With I schould do that, but I don't knew how. And not every person who have some words are "karen".
