She's still mad that Carl expressed his lack of interest in engaging in a physical relationship with her. lol
She's never even met him, it was Connor Tomlinsons show. Secondly, even if it had been you can't condemn a person, forever, and all their associates, over a single badly judged attempt at a joke. "you should be disbarred for even speaking to an associate of someone who has not comitted a crime" is astonishingly dangerous rhetoric, an extremist position in the true sense of the word. You could never, ever trust someone who suggests it.
He then later said he "would, but no one's got that much beer."? And the point is, as she said, that he is rightly allowed to say these things, but Liz Truss involving herself with him should cause huge concern within her party. If one of my employees did, I would call them into the office for a very serious chat, that might well end in their dismissal, depending on how they justified their actions. Free speech doesn't mean free from responsibility, and any organisation has an expectation of their employees to behave in a manner that doesn't cause danger to others, a political party more than most.
Well done Jess for bringing this up and thank you for continued support of domestic abuse victims ❤❤❤❤
@@andrewcarson5850 So your position is that people who have made a joke many consider offensive (personally I didn't appreciate it, it wasn't funny, needlessly inflammatory, and an example of trying too hard to be clever), are so beyond the pale that your employees should be interrogated if they speak to anyone who associates with that person?
Do you have any idea how incredibly dangerous that kind of thinking is? Please, study European history for many examples of the horrors that come with that mindset. It's actually worse than the "freedom from consequences" nonsense which is essentially a way of whitewashing taking away their freedom of speech under threat of significant life-long impact. Except in this instance you've gone a step further, suggesting taking away their freedom to say benign things to someone who is forbidden by association.
I wouldn't normally comment on things like this but the rise in authoritarian tendencies and rhetoric is something that personally, I find a lot more alarming than Putin for example. This is exactly the kind of way he thinks too, by the way, but he doesn't pretend to be anything other than a tyrant.
@@system11yt No, that would be my position if one of my emplyees associated themselves with someone who thought it was okay to broadcast dangerous rhetoric. As I said, I would discuss it with them first, and upon the outcome of that discussion I would decide whether or not I felt they should stay involved in my company. They are free to say as they will, and I wouldn't take that away from them, but if they honestly hold those opinions then I would not want them around my other staff who may well feel uncomfortable, if not scared, to be so closely involved with them on a daily basis.
Just about the only sane comment in this whole comment section that I've seen so far, well done.
