JW MARRIOTT MALDIVES EXPERIENCE//What is it like to stay at a 5 star Maldives resort?

- In the pre-covid bliss of wedding planning, we booked an epic honeymoon including 5 days of luxury in the Maldives. Welllll only one year late, we finally made it! The weather wasn’t exactly the best, but nothing could stop us from enjoying pure paradise! Our seaplane flight was the stuff of nightmares, but when we touched down, all was forgotten with a beautiful welcome. We were upgraded to a “duplex” overwater bungalow with a private pool and a sunset view. We spent our days waking up to the waves, chilling by the pool, dipping in the ocean, and meandering around the private island.
The Maldives is becoming a very popular vacation destination, particularly for honeymooners. We stayed at the JW by spending a very significant bank of Marriott points, which is the best way to do because the actual cost of these places is jaw dropping. Though this resort is the paradise we dream of, and absolutely worth saving up years of points (seriously, Adam was saving points for almost 10 years).
Very nice! We were there exactly 3 weeks ago. Stayed in the same room with sunset view, almost at the end of the dock. Loved that place!!
The guy at Rum Bar who made the drinks, is the funnies guy lol he also serves at the Japanese restaurant at night.
That’s so cool! Ya we loved that guy. He was so much fun!

Hi... What water sports do we get in JW Marriott? Do we get Parasailing and kayaking?

I am planning a trip confused between W and JW marriott . Why did you choose JW over W.
Is this upgraded or overwater villa
The W and JW have different vibes. The JW is a little more spa like and the W tends to be more party oriented. We picked based on what we were going for and the point redemption. This is an upgraded over water villa, The non upgraded villas do not have a second floor.
