To me, it is the most beautiful. When I hear a cello, my entire body instantly has a chill/goosebumps reaction and sometimes it's so strong that my eyes tear up. I don't have this reaction to the violin or viola. I don't know much about instruments or the "science" of music, I wonder if there are books written about this type of thing?

I think we will react to some instrument at some point. I do agreed that the cello is beautiful, so is the viola. while the violin produce high sweet notes, the cello and viola creates deep notes that lingers in my heart :)

I played Viola when I was younger, then ended up switching to Saxophone when I got to middle school. Hated it. Wind instruments just don't have the same level of resonance, beauty, and class in my eyes. I only played it for one year, and practically gave it up halfway through the year. Kinda sad actually. Just bought a viola though so I can start learning again!
