Beautiful Song. For me it has a special meaning. My girlfriend’s dad with whom I was close (I was friends with her for years before we even started dating plus we’d been dating for several years as well) passed suddenly a few months ago. Instead of Amazing Grace and gospel his funeral had KISS, Ozzy, Crue, anything from Hagar, the good stuff. Just because someone is here because of a trailer does not make them a fake fan of the song, as we should all know music today keeps on getting worse, but as individuals who enjoy this music we should appreciate the song(s) getting noticed, which means more people enjoy old music sooo stop complaining
Bruh there is legitimately no difference from hearing it on the radio than on the trailer for stranger things. Why would they come here if they didn’t appreciate the music. So shut up and stop trying to be original by saying you like “different” music. It’s good either way.
This song reminds me of things that I went through life things I would change for the time I lost went to federal prison came back as I was close to my hometown that song came on I couldn't wait to see my family again unexplainable feeling to the heart
They played this at my neighbors funeral. We miss you John. He was always the life of the party, fun guy to be around, and man, hearing this play at his funeral killed me.
coming home from doing a short term bid for dumb choices I made as a kid years ago and walking down to sign my release paper work, a guard stationed in the halls was singing this out loud. I chimed in " I'm on my way, just set me free...home sweet home..." felt like it was too weird a coincidence... a good omen that my hard work and change of behavior and attitude will keep me from going back again. easy money was never so hard and cost far too much then it was worth. time is the one thing we can never ever repay or get back... getting home tonight to see the look on my wife and kids faces of pure ecstasy was worth far more then my old lifestyle could ever pay. they deserve a better version of me and I will give them the best version. I will never disappoint them and hurt them like that again. Thank you motley crue for being the final sign that the work I have put in and keeping my head out of the static will succed and be worth it. " Long, and hard is the way that out of hell leads up to light." John Milton - 'Paradise Lost'
Yeah. I don't really like this style of song much but in the 80's even the music that wasn't the best to everyone was still kickass. I prefer more like Shout at the Devil as far as Motley Crue goes but this song is one of the best I've heard \m/

Here are the CORRECT lyrics.....
You know I'm a dreamer
But my heart's of gold
I had to run away high
So I wouldn't come home low
Just when things went right
It doesn't mean they were always wrong
Just take this song and you'll never feel
Left all alone
Take me to your heart
Feel me in your bones
Just one more night
And I'm comin' off this
Long and winding road
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
Tonight tonight
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
You know that I've seen
Too many romantic dreams
Up in lights, fallin' off
The silver screen
My heart's like an open book
For the whole world to read
Sometimes nothing keeps me together
At the seams
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
Tonight tonight
I'm on my way
Just set me free
Home sweet home
Home sweet home
Home sweet home
Home sweet home
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
Yeah yeah
I'm on my way
Just set me free

It was a simpler time people went out to meet people in person, in person! lol... Made in 83' sho don't lol
Look my age tho :)
Me too. 🙋🏽♀️
Erika, im grateful I had older siblings who passed on metal to me. There's nothing like it. Metal is one of kind and I have never looked back since. Im 33 and they r in their 40s but I learned a lot from them as far as Metal bands. I would explore the music and the more I did, the more I loved it. Thanks to youtube I can enjoy hearing metal on my way to work, the gym, at home. Thank you youtube. Metal lives! .....2019!!
erika calle yeah i actually saw someone cover this on the ukulele before i listen to the actual song. Like wow from the ukulele i can feel its a very wonderful song.
I LOVE MOTLEY CRUE! I used to cry so hard sometimes when I heard Home Sweet Home. Because my 11yr old son was wrongfully taken from me. He's 23 now & in med school, taking after his mom the caregiver only a bit further! So proud!!! 💖I love you Luke! 💋🎶🎤
I'm so sorry that happened love, he will always look up to you no matter what happens❤

This may sound odd, but this song speaks to me due to being in Drug and alcohol recovery, tho my story is long, indeed as if this applies to me. Thank you Motley for this awesome ass song
I hope you're doing better now.
glad your doing better now man! my sisters story is long too and my brothers as well. i’ve been through a lot watching them do that stuff to themselves but they both made it out well!
Find something you love more than your addiction and makes you feel alive and happy than you can easily kick any addiction.
Just got super drunk and decided to smoke a bowl and out of no where this started to play in my head so I came here ,and now I can't stop crying .

Stranger Things - Season 3!
Amazing music choices!
Yesss
It's suppose to match the era in the show
GamuzaReflex yea the only thing good about that turd show is the bomb metal/rock soundtrack
Saqlain Haider You are not special if you say that “Stranger Things” is non a good series.
GamuzaReflex i just don’t like it! That’s my opinion! Why don’t you shut the hell up
What a great song! My theme for the living I do. Can’t be any clearer than that. I appreciate these guys more now after watching their movie:” THE DIRT.”

Nueva canción adoptada en la familia trajeada♥️
Te quiero Reborn, los quiero trajeados♥️
Let us rise again from our slumber and play Mötley crüe louder than ever
My buddies had this played over a PA system when I was leaving Germany for the world . Tore me up,! But I loved it
Who's here not because of stranger things but because of motley crue and because they actually appreciate the music
I think people who are here from Stranger Things appreciate the music too. I mean i don't think they would be here if they didn't ya know?
Just because someone is here because of a trailer does not make them a fake fan of the song, as we should all know music today keeps on getting worse, but as individuals who enjoy this music we should appreciate the song(s) getting noticed, which means more people enjoy old music sooo stop complaining
Malsawmtluangi Tluangi fuck stranger things
Bruh there is legitimately no difference from hearing it on the radio than on the trailer for stranger things. Why would they come here if they didn’t appreciate the music. So shut up and stop trying to be original by saying you like “different” music. It’s good either way.
Californication.
This song reminds me of things that I went through life things I would change for the time I lost went to federal prison came back as I was close to my hometown that song came on I couldn't wait to see my family again unexplainable feeling to the heart
tonight tonight tonight
They featured this song on Billions tonight... had to come here and listen again. Very fitting for tonight's episode about Yonkers
Great episode. Truly!
Same, one of my favorite shows.
Seen them in the 80s at the philly spectrum awsome times miss them
OMG I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH and I love hearing my sister play it on piano
Kiley Woodrum I bet that sounds amazing!!
great white buffalo
Great White Buffalo
great white buffalo
Great White Buffalo
Great white buffalo
Great white buffalo
I’ve always thought this song needs to be one more minute longer. It’s just that good.
They played this at my neighbors funeral. We miss you John. He was always the life of the party, fun guy to be around, and man, hearing this play at his funeral killed me.
This song makes me want to leave my car running in the garage and use the gas petal as a kick drum.
#Motley Lou
How to die 101
And then travel back to the 80s with your friends
If I wanted to kill myself, I'd be awesome at it.
.
.
Shotgun to the dick.
Lou is the best. I've been a long time fan of the crue since the 80s the bigger the hair the better!
I love this
This song makes me want to cry.
Same dude
An amazing band, an amazing song, an amazing album
In my book he is one of top five guitarists of the century he is legend.
Great listen for when you finally get out of work
coming home from doing a short term bid for dumb choices I made as a kid years ago and walking down to sign my release paper work, a guard stationed in the halls was singing this out loud.
1:03 That riff is the best thing I have ever heard.
Hell yea man. That solo too.
At 2:29 that’s one of the greatest solo of all time
Vatian Its good but the guitar break down between the chorus & 2nd verse of "Lick It Up" by KISS is much better
I read the comment right as it happened 😂🤟
Sidikan jogja hadirr....sweet memories 90's.....never forgotten
The best scene was when this song hit when they were going out on stage TOGETHER
yessssirrr
This song is so good compared to what is around today. Such a shame. Where did our music go wrong?
2007
oh stop it. just cause mainstream sucks doesn't mean there's not good music.
+Cryosphere ayyy.
+Robert Hoppe who care?
Yeah. I don't really like this style of song much but in the 80's even the music that wasn't the best to everyone was still kickass. I prefer more like Shout at the Devil as far as Motley Crue goes but this song is one of the best I've heard \m/
What a song to go out on 🙌🏼😀14, and love Mötley Crüe
This song always make me cries.. even the first time I've heard it it shows and make me feel a lot of feelings
Gracias Reb 💫
