  • Hey guys!! This is a video with lyrics of "Home Sweet Home" by Motley Crue! I hope you like it! I will have a video up tomorrow of a guitar lesson and a channel update! Sorry for the delay.
    Lyrics:
    You know I'm a dreamer
    But my heart's of gold
I had to run away high
So, I wouldn't come home low
    Just when things went right
    Doesn't mean they're always wrong
Just take this song and you'll never feel
    Left all alone
    Take me to your heart
    Feel me in your bones
    Just one more night
    And I'm comin' off this
    Long and winding road
I'm on my way, I'm on my way
    Home sweet home, tonight tonight
I'm on my way, I'm on my way
    Home sweet home
    You know that I've seen
    Too many romantic dreams
    Up in lights, fallin' off
    The silver screen
My heart's like an open book
For the whole world to read
    Sometime, nothing keeps me together
    At the seams
I'm on my way, I'm on my way
    Home sweet home, tonight tonight
I'm on my way, just set me free
    Home sweet home
    Home sweet home
    Home sweet home
    Home sweet home
Ooh, I'm on my way, I'm on my way
    Home sweet home, yeah
I'm on my way, just set me free
    Home sweet home

My dad was the BIGGEST Motley Crue fan. He passed away Christmas 2020 and when I found out the news from my grandparents, this song played on my tv IMMEDIATELY. He visited me in my dreams 2 weeks later and told me to play this song whenever I want him to visit or watch over me, and he will be there. I’ve heard this song plenty of times and never thought anything of it till then. I looked up the lyrics and he def meant it due to the lyrics “just take this song, and you’ll never feel left all alone” when this played at his funeral I lost it, and still lose it even though I manually have to play it. RIP💔

My Dad was a huge Motley Crue fan also, he passed unexpectedly back in November 2022 💔 I feel you girl and I’m sorry for your loss. This is honestly my first time listening to Motley Crue since he passed cause I couldn’t bring myself to listen to them ig cause I felt it would just remind me he wasn’t here but, I know both our Dads would definitely want us still listening to them 💜

"The Dirt"was one of the best rock movies I've ever seen and I was surprised because I wasn't that much of a fan of the crew but that movie gave me a ton of respect for that band and what they all went through, especially Nikki.

Beautiful Song. For me it has a special meaning. My girlfriend’s dad with whom I was close (I was friends with her for years before we even started dating plus we’d been dating for several years as well) passed suddenly a few months ago. Instead of Amazing Grace and gospel his funeral had KISS, Ozzy, Crue, anything from Hagar, the good stuff. I’ll never forget when those of us who were especially close said our final goodbyes to him before the casket would be closed and we’d no longer be able to see him, this song was played. For most others, it wouldn’t fit. For him, it made perfect sense. Rest In Peace Randy.

After a bout of depression I decided to return to my hometown of Boston for a day just to breathe the familiar ocean air and walk the grounds at Castle island.
As I passed the threshold, the border of Boston and saw the skyline this song randomly popped on and played as the view opened up.
I had never had such a spiritual moment from any song. It's like God knew how to make this moment even more special.
That day turned my entire life around, and it's all thanks to this song coming on at just the right moment.

I grew up a musician so when the time came that I was so broken and hurt I couldn't listen to music, music kind of died for me. Movies felt fake and I couldnt connect with them, but music was different, it hit too deep in places that still hurt and needed to be left alone. I ended up surviving a suicide attempt and nothing really changed, I was even more broken. Then one day I chanced the radio and this was the song that came on, and for the first time in a long time I experienced something so relatable and didnt feel so alone. Sounds so corny but for once I could escape into a song and feel healing and comfort and the pain didnt bother me, like a balm for my heart. This was my jam for several months and one day I realized I could listen to anything without it triggering PTSD. There was a lot more to my healing process than just this song but even now I listen to this song and it makes me feel stronger. Just want to say thank you to people who revived this song so I could hear it on the radio that day, it brought some much needed light into my life.

coming home from doing a short term bid for dumb choices I made as a kid years ago and walking down to sign my release paper work, a guard stationed in the halls was singing this out loud. I chimed in " I'm on my way, just set me free...home sweet home..." felt like it was too weird a coincidence... a good omen that my hard work and change of behavior and attitude will keep me from going back again. easy money was never so hard and cost far too much then it was worth. time is the one thing we can never ever repay or get back... getting home tonight to see the look on my wife and kids faces of pure ecstasy was worth far more then my old lifestyle could ever pay. they deserve a better version of me and I will give them the best version. I will never disappoint them and hurt them like that again. Thank you motley crue for being the final sign that the work I have put in and keeping my head out of the static will succed and be worth it. I performed this song (piano/vocals) in the talent show at my elementary school when I was in the 5th grade and got suspended for 6 weeks because it said, "run away high..." and that portrayed drug use... I had to take Summer school and got dropped from the accelerated curriculum for the next year... What a bummer... I got to take easy classes for the next semester.

I had a pretty good voice before puberty set in. Mrs. Newhouse, my orchestra teacher suggested changing the lyrics to "I had to run away [guys],"

Derrick Ayres it still an awesome story and that's just the water seems it was back then cuz of parents I understand now as a 27 year old parent of a 5 & 3 year old now. And I'd accept this for my kids over what they have on the radio now. crazy how patents change with time.
