Remembering Family Fortunes

Taken from a documentary about classic game shows shown in 2005, the Johnson family reminisce about the "turkey" incident on Family Fortunes, also featuring contributions from personalities including William G Stewart who used to produce the show.

He didn't answer Turkey to the famous snooker player question, he answered Hurricane Higgins.

That wasn't true, really. When Bob was asked about the snooker player he said "Alex Higgins" like Michael did. Mind you, he should have just said "Turkey" again immediately LOL

i heard somewhere once that the way they did the family fortunes surveys was they surveyed the audiences of other TV programmes
They didnt go out on the street

I noticed there was a bit of a connection between The Price is Right, Family Fortunes and Catchphrase is that they were all done in the same studios at Lenton Lane in Nottingham.

And we all know what sealed the fate of Carlton Studios it was the axing of the relaunched Crossroads in 2003.

He looked pretty old at the time and that particular episode was filmed between 1984 & 1987, so maybe old age?
