A lot of people forget that John Carpenter's The Thing is a remake as well, the 1951 Howard Hawks "The Thing From Another World" is technically the original. You can tell Carpenter was a big fan because he replicated the opening title sequence almost exactly, not to mention that you see the movie playing on the TV in Halloween. While the original is not a transformation movie I still highly recommend it as it pretty much started the whole "Hostile Alien Invader" horror subgenre in the 50's, and not to mention builds suspense incredibly well. Wish more people talked about that one.
The howling is also my favorite werewolf transformation and favorite horror movie. I think it usually, unjustly is given 2nd place behind American werewolf!
Some really awesome, underappreciated choices in this list! Not enough people appreciate some of these categories in movies! Virus may not be a great movie, but some of those cyborg designs are demented and amazing.
@@violenceunderground1318 There's a PS1 tie-in game too, I say tie-in very loosely, and the only good thing about it is the intro cutscene. th-cam.com/video/5kfIihJ1Dds/w-d-xo.html The tentacles made of cables, tubing and harvested flesh might be a blink-and-you-miss-it concept, but it sits in your mind as something truly disgusting.
Laukos The Goblin shit, that looks awesome! I never knew this game existed. I looked at the description and it apperantly it has a wealth of glitches in it. Still, pretty cool intro!
@@violenceunderground1318 As a PS1 game collector, thats pretty much a HUGE problem with PS1 game collecting. The intro and box can look AMAZING but then you turn the game on and you're like 'wait...that mass of pixels and boxes is meant to be me!?'
Prosthetic amalgamations in practical scene and character development - being closer to what is 'possibly' "real" - is way better than CGI, which gives itself away as being too unreal to be scary. No one can convince me otherwise. If anyone viewing this comment has any titles of movies that feature some of the most grotesque and detailed prosthetic transformations, please provide them for me and others. Thank you!
"CGI is lazy" BULLSHIT, CGI like Piratical effects can look bad, BUT CGI IS NOT LAZY, people take time to make CGI look FUCKING GREAT yet people like you say it is lazy becus it isn't physically there, that like saying "DiGiTAl ArT iSN'T REaL ARt BECus THeY cAn BaCK SpaCE" Fuck you

And the narrator keeps teasing us with un-named scenes of the very types of transformation movies which fall under the more practical and realistic yet grotesque enough to scare your pants off which you are mentioning ...only to mention the names of the far-fetched ones. And TH-cam keeps deleting alot of the ones that are both good and mentioned by such narrators.
Fucking great video! "This corn tastes like shit... :::pounds corn noises:::" lol. Hey I think you could have added one more transformation category. The mutilated death transformation, something like Bishop in Aliens or any chestburster scene. Maybe like the victims of serial killers in Hannibal or Rob Zombie movies.

And that Corn-Man skit at the end? Perfect.
Thanks! And yes, virus may not be the best but damn those creature effects are amazing! They’re like cenobite terminators or something.

Awesome video as always! The Creature Transformations are my favorite.

4:01 *The Adeptus Mechanicus in a nutshell*
Very nice, too bad that there no titles of those films
Yeah ...I know, huh?! They all do this all of the time.
They need to bring back practical effects .. CGI is lazy ... "but that takes more time and effort?" Exactly.

Great video! What movie is that scene from at :24?
It's a 1982 film called The Beast Within.
Violence Underground thank you!
Good list but how did you miss Dead/Alive?
That’s not the only movie I didn’t put on here. I do love dead alive though and Peter Jackson when he was still cranking splatter flicks.
@@violenceunderground1318 Did you see the other gore-movie he made before dead/alive? IIRC he's actually an actor in that one too, and its glorious.
Laukos The Goblin I have the movie bad taste, but I know he has another one called meet the Feebles which I have not seen. Heard good things though.
What is at 6:08
Ok..You got a new sub and a 👍.. but was that last transformation supposed to be so corny? 🤔
Who brushes there sweet corn?
Please name all of the scenes you are showing and not just the usual familiar, overhyped and dumbed-down ones. Thank you!
From Beyond Is A Lovecraft Movie :)
