Love letters people never voted for this they voted for better lives and speedy service delivery
People did not vote for anything so what!!
Let's no rush things plz
Both the ANC and DA said they want to work together for the betterment of the country. We must hold them to account.
Yes BOTH Including ANC
This analysis was largely unbiased and your opinions reached deeper than those of the legacy media.
Well done, Sizwe.
United we all win , DIVIDED WE ALL LOSE...
TIME OUT , NEED RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE , WITH INTEGRITY , TRANSPARENCY...
GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY , MAY RIGHTEOUSNESS PREVAIL.
Exactly my sentiment 🙏
Yes yes but does this also mean include MK and EFF who represents 24%???
United without 2 major black parties 😂😂😂you must be joking
@@silaskhalishwayoexactky
You are fooling yourself man. White people only care about money, land and power. Start thinking right.
DA must be given justice so that all ANC members will attend court cases for next 5 years 😅😅😅😅
😂😂😂😂😂 iyoooo you killed man day in and day out in court 😅😅😅
Sizwe what you say makes sense. Also very clear and easy for the layman to follow and understand more the insights of all the goings on in the political field at present.
Awesome Dr !! Thanks, Now we know what is happening.
South Africa can only be saved when the DA take controls of the economy, finances, health, minerals and energy etc.etc
They want to privatize health,SOE'S and Education, well, tht can't inclusive in a society where the majority are living in abject poverty,so,therefore, their policies do not resonate with majority
This gnu should be called a cpp(cupcake protection program) tbh
Dear Sizwe
When rivals are funded by the markets, we shouldn't be surprised to see such tolerance of nonsense. The DA will not walk away nor the ANC, the markets decided this script before it even played out before us. Whatever is happening here and going to to happen, is not for the best interests of the people, these politics stopped being for the people by the people a long time ago. Whatever happens, I don't really care anymore, I just need to do what a man s'got to do for his familia. Its such a waste of everyone's time and money.
They just wanted votes from people to legitimise their leadership. Otherwise this is their game. It is also up to the people to talk to each other and unite and push for different ways.
@@kodwat2134That's so true. But as long as we can't unite beyond these politics, we are not getting anywhere. We also haven't been holding anyone accountable. But soon or later, South Africa we go back to the streets.
I wish they can continue but they not going to win come the next vote.
People don’t understand the importance of markets especially Ina country like SA… a strengthening of the Rand benefits the poor the most. Many wealthier SA’cans have taken their money overseas. Look at Western and Eastern Germany or North and South Korea for examples of market driven verses government controlled economies.
Well said my brother i pray and hope our leaders are listening to this❤
100% and that they see the immense value in Sizwe, such class.
Big ask 5 objectives. Excellent analysis. Tkx
Great insight DR Simpofu keep the good work
Thanks!
Thanks
It doesn’t feel like a GNU still feels like the ANC and DA are battling it out
At least they are talking to find whatever.
We need a daily show😂😂😂...
DA was not supposed to ask for 11 ministers in the first place, based on the votes they received 6 ministers are a fair reflection
Thanks for the explanations you are such a cadre sir. SALUTE!!
Finally, a level headed view 😭❤️... Coz damn the media is fear mongering😭😭
Cyril Ramaphosa us surrounded by lions, who left the ANC, and Ramaphosa is the most hated president . So these black breakaway leaders
Didnt do anything in the last 30 years now they say they can do more for the voters. Ag shane to these Ramaphosa haters who will push Ramaphosa out once they get on the ANC wagon . Remember that the most thing is to get investors n create jobs.. with the radicals no foreign investment will flow in . We are a democratic country why do we need a communist party. The naysayers dont want DA believing that DA is a destruction of creating poverty
What lies they create to put DA down, DA is progress where ever they govern , so therefore blacks trusted DA for creating jobs and infrastructure. Black bee has failed n South Africa was collasping .. so these smaller breakaway parties did nothing to restore SAA post office, eskom, Railways n many more, now they are jumping like popcorns.. Cyril must be careful about all those Ramaphosa haters who will kick him out once they get in..
What I want to see is a government that puts its people first no matter who and what we are, honest, hardworking and have integrity but, I think it's too much to ask in Africa.
22 minutes ago.....is a good time to watch coz news are flying and new updates every hour
Succession politics in the ANC were compromised after Mbeki's term. Further, there seems to be poor investment in human capital and leadership development, which has inevitable consequences that are now intertwined with national politics. Perhaps the splits from the organization are a necessary evil for the party to efficiently regroup and build strength
It's just been a few moments that I've been listening to your episodes but I must say I'm very much impressed. How do I get a one on one communication with you? I would like us to have that outside this platform b4 I join back. This is very important for me that we 1st speak outside the comments section. Thanks.
Definitely. This is my request too
❤❤❤❤❤❤
It became evidently clear during the ThumaMina years that Ramaphosa is the President of DA.
My biggest contention is the fluctuating currency related to the negotiations, or maybe that's another noise.
The last 5 minutes were jaw breaking ❤❤❤
So the negotiations don't include the other parties in this supposed GNU? Just the DA and ANC
They most probably do but the DA has a lot more bargaining power than the rest. Most of the smaller parties probably won’t get any cabinet roles.
Because the 8 smaller parties combined only have 1O% of the vote. When the ANC had the majority in the past they took it all, that is how it works in politics.
Democracy is not for Africa. Let's learn African democracy from Kenya.our Politicians are too comfortable . Is matter of time starving people will raise
Up to now the ANC have done nothing but dismantle the infrastructure and they really need help. BBBE should be scrapped and educated whites that are still in the country should be employed to help with turning things around. The ANC have had 30 years and most things are broken, don't bite the hand that is going to help you get things right. I certainly hope that all those disgruntled people realise help is on the way. Caring is sharing and that's what needs to be done !!!!!!!!!
Anything ANC have touched over the last 30 years, has been run to the ground, due to incompetence and corruption... Give DA a chance to fix ANC failure...
You're properly schooled. Give thanks
Hmmmm love it
In the same note please tlalk about DATA which is expiring and y is so expensive in SA? PLEASE
I wonder if the DA is giving us White South Africans a bad image toward our Fellow Black South Africans.
What is really at stake is the fact that ANC structures (including NEC) never sanctioned the sign of this ANC_DA marriage; it was the work of the CR few (including Mbalula of coz). So; it is the ANC structures that are simply pushing back and actually trying to frustrate the whole marriage.
Ok so we will have food, better roads, and prisoners will actually go to prison. Unfortunately still the same power and electricity minister
The DA is crying for a fair share of cabinet posts in accordance with “proportional representation” relative to their 21% in the election results. That proportional representation means 6 cabinet posts (21% of government departments). So I don’t understand why they’re crying. What did they think “proportional representation” was? 😂😂
DA outlandish and outrages demands?? They are only asking for their fare share 22%. All the other small parties have 10% combined.
If all the parties in the GNU must be treated equally, then I suggest, combine all the seats including the ANC’s seats and divide it by 10. The big winners will be the 8 small parties and the big losers will be the ANC and DA. All 10 parties in the GNU will then have equal presentation in parlement.
I saw a theory posted that these people have already reached an agreement, that all this is theatrics to say "it was tough to get to this agreement"... not entirely sure why this would be the case and what the impact of this narrative would have
If m not mistaken. Total seats of this GNU is 287 seats n DA have 87 seats so.... 87seat÷287 Seats x 100% = 30%. So the DA contributes 30% in that GNU .....Out of 30 ministers x30% = 9ministers (DA).
The ANC is offering 6 positions...well
Thank god for this union, imagine if one of the other parties such as EFF would get into power, what chaos would result. The racial inequality will increase, simply because others have less children and will give their children more, while many poor blacks will have a lot ok kids and will simply dump them onto the system further increasing the disparity between different ethnic groups. DA should get the portfolio that deals with economony especially electricity and other basic services. That is key, if that works it will help a lot.
Ministers and their deputies are political appointments, who really don't know the "nuts and bolts" of the ministries they lead!. The DG's are critical in every ministry!
About 4 years ago uGogo Aubrey Matshiqi once said "Why pretend you are interested in the needs and interests of black people, while you have a party that purport to represent the interests of those who were oppressed that will do that, that will advance your own interests on your behalf. This is happening precisely because both DA and ANC are parties of the establishment, are parties at the moment that exist to promote elite interests"
I think.the da are making sure Paul mashatile isn't coming in. We need to keep in mind the overseas investors love CR. They don't trust mashatile
Eff they were rejected by South African they didn't have a choice
Many thoughts today, but as a country we just assume we can live together. However, white, coloured, Indian, muslim and black culture etc are all very different. Perhaps our political leaders can get some education on how to appreciate and work with people from these culture...eg. white people tend to make decisions on more an individual level, whereas black people tend to be more collectivistic. Some of this has been clearly evident in the letters and discussions between the parties in recent days.
👌
Who benefitted on BBEE Act?

I think the ANC will be alright. But they need to groom their next leader. MK may be gone next time. Zuma is old.

The ANC proofed themselves over the past 30 years , what did they do for the country apart from taking care of their own pockets . We the people were supposed to put a stop to this . At least the DA is not corrupt and they proof what they can do in the Western Cape .
Thanks!
One would have thought that by now the ANC would have learnt that employing the right party for the job is best for South Africans. Give the DA what they're good at and save your own vrot reputation CR. The people have spoken.
I don’t think the DA “climbed down/watered down” anything! They made their demands high on purpose knowing that when they “climb down”, it would actually be more or less, or the EXACT number that they were looking for in the first place! That’s how things work in this world. You put a high price on your property so that there’s room for a lower offer which would be the price that you are looking for in the first place!!!
Exactly my thoughts. DA leadership and their Funders don't play to lose or be embarrassed. DA is controlling the ANC.
Exactly my thoughts 💭
💯
Exactly. I feel the DA is having a field day with these negotiations! They are getting the ANC where they want them to be!
Did you listen to Sizwe? ANC is in a more powerful position. Even with "only" 5 ministries the DA SURELY WILL show their competence and make huge differences to be seen!!! Compare only the roads of Western Cape with other provinces ....
Can we please have a breakdown on how private interest benefit from these portfolios & their relationships with party funders… That’s what we’re missing!
With the DA's myriad concessions in mind, the media's coverage of GNU shenanigans has been appalling...constant DA attacks. Great analysis as usual, SMWX.
We need a government who got integrity, Honesty, responsibility and a government who has true leaders. We are fed up with a government who are only there for their own benefit. We South Africa's people need positive growth in all areas and stop the killing of people in all areas of their lives,: economically, financially and spiritually.
Its real privilege to be part of the SMWX family, this is my university Sizwe. Thanks
Thanks so much!
Our Governtment needs to put OUR Country first! No outside influences! Our Government needs to understand that they serve our people of South Africa (all of us)! And then they need to realise they are ellected by us! Paid by us! So they should be serving US, all South African's, to ensure all our future and present generations futures!
Yes yes
Sizwe, from my perspective working with whistleblowers the first criterion for success, which is foundational to the other success factors you list, is that those who speak truth to power, especially whistleblowers, are protected, supported and incentivized. You need to have an episode with the whistleblowers I work with to get a reality check on just how deep the rot of corruption goes. We are having to source funding to protect them from other countries to keep them safe and in hiding.
How does one get involved in the perspective. For the lack of a better word or limitation on how I or what I mean. Be part of the organisation as one of the people who have suffered and continue to suffer due to victimisation by those "who think that they rule the world of corruption." And will make sure of that any one who is anti- , shall be silenced at all costs. I would really appreciate someone to contact me regarding this. Unfortunately I can't leave my details on this PUBLIC PLSTFORM. REGARDS. DISGRANTLED CITIZEN
Agree 100%. Assange has just been released after >decade of bureaucratic torture - A healthy democracy can only thrive and survive in a culture of freedom of association, freedom of speech and the active protection of journalists and their sources - Sizwe is doing a sterling job and setting a high bar for journalism in the public interest - kudos and best wishes Sizwe
The DA is not outrageous, the ANC agreed to sellout let them deal with it.
Ramaphosa is alive to the fact that his political future is tied to the DA, and the DA is also very much aware that their chance to take political power is tied to Ramaphosa remaining in the presidency. This is the crux of the matter. The coalition between Ramaphosa and the DA is about Ramaphosa's political survival. Therefore, Ramaphosa will not accept any coalition which does not include the DA and the DA will not walk away.
You have ,nailed it

DA is a open and transparent party some of the don't like them because they work for the country and it's Rainbow nation Citizens .Some of them are there to get enriched and dictate all the time by doing nothing ..Talk less move forward and get the job done that's what matters .Normally empty vessels make the biggest noise .Work for the citizens of this country and not against them and the parties .That's what matters most .Work with unity and not with hatred . .Then only we can move our country forward .. and everybody can live a happy life .I know everybody is tired of 30 yrs of corruption .Definitely we must move forward 😅😅😅

I don't like the DA....but The Anc can't give something and then take it back...Stick to your word.
But it's called negotiations and it's in the ANC's advantage to consider what they will gave to DA. Come to think about it the party that stands to Lose if this GNU is dismantled is DA, ANC can still partner with MK and EFF. If DA gets Deputy president seat. It's obvious they will Use Phala Phala to vote out Ramaphosa. ANC must keep all the powerful economic, domestic positions.
Wel tel me if da safe this country anc Eff mk had 30j😮 and they distro it why wil yo go with them😮
The ANC is stabbing the DA in the back. A leopard never changes it spots. Shame on them.
Give the DA nothing , they are the same colonizers. They are the same aparthide. DONT WORK WITH THEM!!!!!!! NOTHING!
The anc lost popularity by not sticking to their word
Sizwe, could you perhaps explain this to us in a future? - The 60% consensus rule means that no policies can be changed within the agreement of either party. For this reason, even if DA recieved significant portfolios, won't they infact not have to implemnt the policies that were already in place? If the DA did want to make any significant change to policies for a portfolio would they not need to get the ANC to agree to those changes? The bottom line: If DA gets a portfolio, will they not infact be simply ensuring that ANC/parliaments policies are simply enacted?
In an ideal world the Minister,Deputy Minister and DG should not be from same party. This is for full transparency
Yes
DA or ANC are South Afrcans and both CARE for the future of S.A. Let them GOVERN!!!!
Is this govt going to be DA & ANC and still be defined as GNU. Meaning the nation is represented by these parties. Why are other parties signed in not part of this wrangle for positions.
Angithi they are bluffing us with this GNU.
Balanced views thanks. Bottom line, the country wants to grow. As a nation, we are waiting for the leaderships to set the course. Do the right thing, and do things right.
I always get educated watching your Show
The DA must not compromise. They must get their fair share of cabinet posts. The ANC is negotiating in bad faith.
In europe not here
Their way of thinking ANC is still allow us to steal big time
Their fair share in accordance with “proportional representation relative to their 21% in the election results. That proportional representation means 6 cabinet posts (21% of government departments). So what is a “fair share” according to you? You don’t want a proportional representation as agreed in the Statement of Intent?
I agree with you and if they don't they should definitely walk away.
6 cabinet positions is their fair share
You always ask for more than what you want during negotiations, until you concede down to what minimum you're willing to accept. The ANC should give the DA the sports/culture ministry as an added ministry instead of the land reform one. Then I think it's a fair deal, particularly for the people who voted overwhelmingly for left. But the ANC really shot themselves in the foot with shortsightedness (Ramaphosa is out in 5 years) so unless SA's problems are seriously addressed, the ANC may be dethroned by the opposition
True it woukd be stupid for the DA to not push it to the max.
Thank you Dr for your fantastic analysis of the political situation in our country.
You are doing a great job Dr Sizwe , watching you from KwaNdebele.
Good information and a balanced analysis. Thanks,! I think your point about the coalition risk of failure being high is a spot on. The DA may be better letting ANC run to fail and build the black vote which has high potential in the meantime. At the end of the day people care about their own lives and will follow competent leadership. It’s a matter of time.
If it was not for the SMWX, I would not be aware of what GNU is and it's purpose, enkosi Dr Sizwe ❤🎉
You are very detailed and I must say, I like your presentations.... Excellent...
