I am a retired optician and I found out about Zenni from one of my female opticians. She came into work one morning wearing a pair of glasses that didn't come from our store. So of course I asked her about them. She had forgotten to change her glasses when she got to work. She said they came from a place called Zenni and that they only cost $18.00. The glasses looked really nice and I was shocked by the price. I asked her if I could see them? She handed them to me and she headed to her car to get her other glasses that came from our store. Meanwhile I was examining her glasses closely. They seemed to be good quality, they even had a decent AR coating and I even pulled out my opticians chart to compare the her lenses to her prescription and her glasses were perfect. I wrote the name Zenni down and have been using them ever since for my own family as well as friends and friends of friends as well as a few of my former patients. So I have ordered well over a hundred pairs of glasses in the past few years and not had one problem. Actually you maybe surprised to know that Zennis home office is in fact in California but your glasses were made in Hong Kong. Within 24 after receiving you order your glasses were already made and ready to ship. The time is spent in shipping from China to California and then to you. In the past i have had 2 orders get caught in customs. Somehow Zenni finds out pretty quick that a shipment has been pulled and held up in customs so they instantly remake all the glasses that are being held and ship them as a rush order. So the result is you receive a double order. but only pay for the one. Now like I said this doesn't happen often so don't expect to get a double order. If you're starting to have dry eye issues you really should consider wearing glasses more and contacts less. Maybe wear your contacts for special occasions or if you're playing sports or working out. You're really very attractive with and without glasses and since you now have 3 nice new pairs to wear you can even change your glasses look. They all look nice on you and provide a different look as well. My personal favorite is the 1st pair #2017016. I like the dark to light look of the frame.
I used to work in opticianry, too, so paying retail for glasses HURTS. The mark ups are outrageous. When I heard about Zenni I did the same- and I have also moved into progessive lenses that are basically cost prohibitive at the opticians. I have a new rx and have been waiting 3 weeks for them- one pair "failed" quality control twice, so now I wonder if they actually failed to get through customs. I've never had an order doubled but that would be a nice back up if that is what happened this time! We'll see
Bought a whole bunch in fun colors after I got my cataracts done. Just $29 extra for progressives and five bucks for perfectly-matched clip-ons. Only problem is that after a year my Rx changed and Zenni won't retrofit existing frames with new lenses, so I had to donate the old ones to charity and buy slightly fewer new ones. Glasses are a fashion accessory for me (and I can skip undereye concealer)! This is important when you get to the age where glasses actually make you look younger!
Ive bought some seriously cheap glasses from Zenni... in fact the first pair I bought were like 12 bucks lol and they were fine. I didnt like the way they looked though. I have since bought 2 additional pairs and am actually in the process of ordering 2 more right now. I have been super impressed with the glasses I've received. I work in an automotive shop and I beat my glasses up more than the average person. I have yet to see any significant scratching or anything. (in the past some really expensive glasses had actually started peeling and really affected my vision) Obviously you can rack up some expense when adding photochromatic lenses or other options... in the past I have gotten glasses with coatings and they actually negatively affected my vision so I opted for the base base base cheapie stuff for a while, this order I am taking the "recommended" route (high index) and also getting a pair with clip on sunglasses (while the actual prescription lenses will have blue blocker coating) for using on the computer. I have been wearing glasses since the 5th grade and if you are waiting to buy some glasses from them just do it...its actually quite nice being able to be a bit frivolous with your eyeglasses. I have bought a couple pairs essentially for the heck of it and ended up liking them.
I agree, it’s so nice to have options and not spend hundreds on your glasses. I don’t feel guilty if they are not my fav or if they only go with a few outfits.
Awe sucks, I really like my glasses. The only thing is the last pair, the dark purple burgundy ones have become looser over time. I might take them in here to see if they can fix them but that can happen with plastic frames over time. They just fall off now if my skin is greasy, gross kinda but true!
JensVanity yes I saw your comment on another thread about that third pair sliding off after a while... I would think after a while the spring in them just weakens from the constant open/close.. could probably change them out... and I am a combo skin but my hands get really icky! So I got the 234321 frame (simple rectangle in black) with super hydrophobic AR lens coating.. have you tried the more advanced AR?
+karen Bear So nice and inexpensive right! Never though I could get glasses so cheap! Hang in there I was into photography before I started my channel so I did already have my camera. I currently am debating about a mic and or lights, it's hard to justify the cost when its a hobby and there is no "return" so to say.
this was a really good video , i also just did a zenni video , got my glasses today . i like the "Acetate Full-rim Frame With Spring Hinges 106517 " and kinda like the first one as well "Cat-Eye Glasses 2017016 , that you are showing , i saved the link to them
i like them, they fit well, i see good, and the third pair of glasses in your video "Acetate Full-rim Frame With Spring Hinges 106517"..... are out of stock and when i looked at the measurements, it would be to big, but i might get them any ways, maybe , so i added them into my faves on my zenni account, lol, so who knows .
+karen Bear Yeah they are big, at first they didn't slide but now they do. I still really like them but if I'm doing to much around the house they slide all the time.

+Jim Boice Thanks so much for your comment! I have really enjoyed my glasses!

i love that you showed the picture where you digitally tried them on too! i've always wondered how accurate it would be to try glasses on a selfie.
That’s I thought that would be helpful too!
Thank you for the thorough video, and thank you for including your "try on" photos along side how they actually fit.
Thanks so much for watching!
They all look good on you. I like zenni too. You can see your eye makeup with the glasses on too.
Your eye makeup is just beautiful...it would be wonderful to get a tutorial.
Awe, thanks. If only I remembered what eye palette I was using.

You could probably buy lenses from other places it just won't be as cheap

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Thanks
They are made in China and mailed from there FYI
Good to know, thanks for sharing!
Actually, made in China then sent to CA. then to the consumer. Just like Apple!
You are cute.
