It's good that it can make the design process easy, but the exercise is futile and a waste of time if you do not explain how to use it to set up a website after you copy the HTML code or is it the case you cannot use the code to set up a website?

🎉 Hey, if you are a developer keep in mind that you can not build things with such AI tools and sell them to others... First check terms of use, because 90% of such tools don't allow you to sell generated content to others and they own all the copyrights... they are just tools that you can use just for your own product and you will be charged for that monthly... you have no right to generate websites and sell them to others... First check their terms of use before using it... You never know what's hidden there... 💥

I had Chatgpt write code for an eBay affiliate site that used their API resulting in a nice grid layout with search capabilities and after a couple rewites it turned out great. I just tried this websim site to see if it could take the code and change a couple things and though it pulled up a nice PHP box to put the code in, it ended up not having a clue what I wanted, no matter how I explained the small changes. Then it tried executing the code along with the actual code sprinkled here and there. It was a total mess. Maybe it's good for some things, but it sure didn't know what to do in my case.

This is proof of just how similar 95% of websites have become.
There's so much generic boilerplate content on nearly every website out there.
AI is perfect for generating the large proportion of stuff that just has to be there.

It's not possible since this is similar to Minecraft, meaning that all that you see there and create there is only visible there, all these websites, "games", presentations, tools etc do not exist outside this tool and it's not functional like a real tool.

Just wondering if there's a way to use this AI tool to speed up the creation of making HTML/JSX components for my website's UI....? This really is an amazing tool for sure. After messing around with it myself after watching your video, I can see it would be a really cool new way to prototype websites for clients to give design feedback on and then myself as a web dev could go and create the website in NextJS based on the prototype the AI created. There's only 1 thing missing in this AI tool that would needed to make my job easier.... an "Export Website as Code" option.

Can you take this and implement some of the code and integrate it into your own site?
For example a custom drop down navigation widget that had kept your current selection plus a drop down at the top built into the header bar that had your last 3 selected plus the abilities to clear your history or selections and wanted to keep your saved selections from page to page without even having to log in,
Could you build that and then take the code and move it into your website.
Or make a custom plugin basically and then install it on your website

Yeah you can totally download the html code from your websim site or any piece of the code and use it if you’re more technical. So, get it to what want it looking and functioning and then download the html (upper right corner of the screen).

What i would worry about is phishing. So lets say you're really creative and you write something really exceptional. What is to prevent AI to add that to its data a base. It may be good for formatting things like books you've written.

The web pages you create are on their server, and you can't download the code. So I imagine that they focus on large numbers, and if some page becomes super visited it will make money with ads. A bit like TH-cam makes money from the videos that people upload, they will make money from the pages that people create.

Gives nice prototype pages, but only hosted on websim, has random website/domain names assigned as place holders, seems like no ability to fully retrieve & edit the downloaded HTML code into another site?... NOTE - you can right click on each element/text, etc & get a pop up box to change the text easily on the websim page. Plus you can click on each link or button they have highlighted/hyperlinked to instantly get a new page created, (eg, terms, privacy, about us, contact, download, etc pages), without having to manually go back & forward doing the URL editing... And WOW, you can get soooo many pages created so fast via the links - landers, product pages, upsells, instant blogs, etc - really go down a rabbit hole of clicking endlessly from one page to create another!.. Though, this is possibly still most useful as a tool to use parts of those pages or text as IDEA templates, to kick start our own minds & still be doing our own editing & creation within other website editors anyway, so it's not all just AI generation... Humans are quickly losing their ability to create for themselves, just looking for faster & easier ways to get around DOING stuff!.. 😂

I asked an LLM AI... It says websim does not specifically allow or prevent commercialization but uses Claude 3... And "Claude, users are granted a limited license to use AI-generated outputs internally, but commercial use is generally prohibited1. This means you cannot sell, rent, or sublicense content generated by Claude" the 1 after prohibited sites claude terms and conditions.
