CW Skimmer Setup for SmartSDR

Setting up the key parts of both SliceMaster and to have it automatically start CW Skimmer.

Be aware that it is possible to overload a Maestro with too many spots resulting in audio fragmentation. If you have this happen to you, you can try turning off spots for the client.

@@briangrange What I figured out on my own is that after you install and run CW Skimmer once, close it and then let SliceMaster run it and it will configure it for you (same for SDR Bridge). That important detail was missing here. Hope that helps.

Appreciate all that is there - but never heard of Putty & how if differs from Slice Master. Had CW Skimmer working great for months with my Flex 6400 & Slice Master, but it just quit responding. Did everything you mentioned in the video. Will not work now, no matter what I do....

Mike, every few months, CW Skimmer stops working. I followed all the steps in your video, as best as I could, but Skimmer only stays up for a few seconds and closes. I'm using Slice Master to launch Skimmer, HRD Logbook, and WSJT-X, the latter two of which launch without incident. I have the DAX IQ set to 1, I have the port numbers set, and everything else I can think of covered. Any suggestions?

I am not sure what you mean. If you are curious how how to do it, it is described in the SliceMaster documentation. You might have missed it: github.com/K1DBO/slice-master-6000
