Al Kay it is not Arab music lol... it is traditional Cossack music similar to traditional Slavic music you might hear in Poland or Russia. Ukrainian music may sound a little more 'southern' because the influence from Tatars living in the region which had much in common with the Turks.

Can anyone that has lived in Kiev tell me if the vibes in the city are similar to Moscow? I've been to Moscow and though the old city is safe, you have to watch yourself in many other districts. I have heard that Kiev is much safer, but does that mean that it is boring? Moscow nightlife is amazing and so are the girls... is Kiev sort of like a little Moscow with less crime or is it completely different?
+Ivan & Fritz Well I grew up in Kiev then moved to Canada, I can tell you that the city is really safe for tourists. Ukrainians actually really like tourists so you should not be hassled. As for nightlife, tons to do there. Girls in Ukraine as just as beautiful ( even more in my opinion but maybe I am biased) than Moscow.
+Ivan & Fritz Kyiv is not like Moscow more than it's like any other Eastern European city. As for women, the people in general have very Slavic features but at the same time a uniquely "Ukrainian" look. The population is much more highly-educated than they used to be and in addition to strong bilingualism, there is even a lot of trilingualism as many people speak Ukrainian, Russian, and English. In fact Kyivans probably have a better command of English than Muscovites.
+Ivan & Fritz I live in Kiev and I can tell you that its a very safe city. Ukrainians in general are very kind people and not violent at all. You can move in the middle of the night and be sure that nothing bad would happen to you. I live here since almost 4 years and didn't have any bad experience at all. Mentality of people here is amazing, so kind and so helpful despite of bad economical situation.

Советую посетить Мариинский парк, рядом с которым находится "Мост влюблённых", Центральный Ботанический сад, Золотые Ворота, Андреевский спуск и красивейшую улицу Киева - Пейзажная Аллея. Также можно проехаться на фуникулёре, который находится возле станции метро Почтовая площадь. Это если ехать снизу вверх к Михайловской площади. Просто походи по центру и Подолу, чтобы понять, что такое Киев. И обязательно советую побывать в одном из киевских кафе, например, кафе "Здоровенькі Були", которое находится возле Крещатика или "Пузата Хата" на Подоле на улице Сагайдачного. Если будешь рядом с Бессарабским рынком, то туда можно зайти только на экскурсию, но ничего не покупай. Это самый дорогой рынок в Киеве. Лучше покупать что-либо в других местах. Если есть какие-то вопросы, то спрашивай, всегда рад помочь)

Что же до парковок, то нужно понимать, что в большом миллионном городе, тем более в центре, не может быть свободных парковочных мест. Где их строить?! На крышах домов? Есть подземные паркинги, но в центре с этим всегда будет сложно.
