They are attached hanging from the top case mounting points aren't they? And then attached one to each other with another bar around the back. Very interesting solution I have to say, but I'm not sure it would resist a proper crash. Anyway, kudos for the original solution. I'll take good notes from it. ;)

As the internet will tell you: “The thumbs-up gesture is a sign of approval in most countries. However, in several countries in West Africa and the Middle East, including Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan, the gesture has the connotation of "up yours!" It's used the same way the middle finger is in the US.” But the simple rules are: If you don’t see locals doing something, best not to do it. Watch what the locals do, and copy them. If in doubt, ask.
