This season felt a bit too crowded. Future Five even spells it out for us: Dwarf star conspiracy. The doubled deception. Kryden. Carina. The accelerated. The fall of the House of Ishida. A meeting with android's creator. The black ships. Would have been nice to focus on just a few of those stories.
I think it's become a inside joke for the writers at this point. Kind of like Kenny on South Park, Mr. Bill on Saturday Night Live or Sam's BF's on SG1.
Since there's no season 4 now, I will write a fanfic. Spoiler, 6 doesn't come back. :P Also, the most logical thing for the Raza crew to do after they expel the alien from 2, is to use the blink drive to go in the recent past and prevent the black ships from passing through. Let's face it, no one can straight up stand up to them. They are like the reapers from Mass Effect 3.
I hope you keep After Dark next season. This assumes that DM happens for another season of course. After Dark without the show might get a bit Firefly...

Watched the trailer for KillJoys season1. Maybe they kept it b/c all the sex scenes? Appeal to the lowest common denominator? Where as dark matter is not sex crazy? *better.
Then why the hell did they kill One if they had all these storylines for him?! I thought it all felt pretty unfinished with him gone and so many questions unanswered, potential storylines cut etc. and now they're saying they had to change lots of things and the basic idea of season 2 because they killed him? Should've just left him alive then! I kept hoping for him to come back somehow (and was seriously struggling to like S2 without him in the beginning, in big part for their lack of dealing with it properly), for it all to have been some sort of ploy, but no... instead they didn't even go into uncovering why he was killed and betrayed, why his family lawyer (?) wanted him gone and all that underlying intrigue but just dropped all those threads right then and there. Because like the Australian lady said, and this is probably the one thing that really bugs me about the show, they just kill people off (or on a less extreme note have them leave the team) and move on pretty casually. I was shocked (and pretty pissed) when that happened with One, especially after the accusations of the previous episode and considering Two had been sleeping with him, then accused him to be the traitor and then when he died... barely seemed to care or even feel conflicted about how they last interacted (you know, something like "I called him a traitor and it turns out he wasn't, but now he's dead and I can't even say sorry"). But then they just did it again and again... I felt out of all the deaths Nyx' was probably "treated the best", they all cared and held a grudge and there was the good bye scene between her and Two, but perhaps that was only because they blamed Ryo for it.
One was literally cut out of the show for whatever reason. Nix's death was used as a plot point. They wanted to erase 1. Now, I found 1 mostly annoying and didn't mind his death. However, I really wanted to see the mystery behind why he was offed to come to light. There wasn't any resolution there. Another weird thing is that Reo decided to trust Misuki even after he learned she killed Nix with poison. All the attempts on his live were with poison too. He is smarter than this, unless he actually loves her...
Just finished watching this thinking 'I can't wait for the next season' and then find out that SYFY have cancelled it! Why the hell would they do that?! The show is great and it was getting good ratings (a lot better than some of the other shows it renewed) I don't understand. Pls sign the petition and join the next @DarkMatterFTL Twitter Storm. It’s been almost 5 years and I’m still devastated...
Watching this episode after getting the news is really heartbreaking.
The black ships invaded and literally killed the show. Unfortunately they never killed Syfy & their terrible decision making.
I also felt that the aliens was unnecessary. But all of that doesnt matter now since its not renewed.
