Steve Earl is a national treasure.
Hear Hear
The most underrated songwriter ever.
No such thing as most underrated, kids. But, someone as respected as Mr. Earle is not in the running. The problem is that no one even knows half of his most brilliant songs. I play More Than I Can Do for people and their eyes go wide. Radio is to blame.
Steve, like Merle Haggard writes outstanding "Outlaw Country" music. Americana in the flesh, telling good stories like he does in his songs!
It's been a while 😆
June 9th & 17th 2023 best two days of my life ❤ I can Steve Earle watch forever. Steve is so much fun, his mannerisms are the same in real life as they are on every interview. The only man who fascinates me ❤
Gonna see Steve tonight at Easy Street Records! So excited!
Steves lyrics have been in my life for years and I thank you for them Steve.
such a talent, yeah as I age I've started to really appreciate Merle a lot more, no matter how much recognition he gets it's never enough
The Hardcore troubadour !
"The" Hard-core Troubadour. Yepper.
Cool interview with alot of old stories that most definitely was a first time
I love you Steve.
Holy wow. Love ❤️ Steve Earle. I’m 49 & love his music 🎶 and he is so handsome lord he is
I'm a young teen and I love his music❤
Also very handsome ❤❤
@@Daughter-of-an-outlawJust please, reassure me about a certain concern...
Why do you have a CONFEDERATE FLAG (a pro-slavery icon) as your profile pic?
@JDdr86 , Oh! Don't worry! It doesn't mean THAT😳, I'm just a really big fan of the old show "The Dukes Of Hazzard" 🤠🤩
@@Daughter-of-an-outlaw 😯h, well, now I can calm down! 😅 Now I can give a like to your previous comments.🙃
Eye love! ❤
My daughter is 16 and loves playing bass guitar, we live in Austin TX. She also listens to band he mentioned.
This guy went to Toronto and played at House of Strombo.
And kicked some serious ass as usual.
Yep, he's a TEXAN ;)
It has been said the Texan is the worst form of Man ,However this certainly doesn't apply with Steve
Coolest stuff Steve
Nice.
Haggard was Earle's archangel.
Nice tip of the hat to Merle Haggard.
listen to mr mudd and mr gold, one of the greatest songs ever written, and youll understand
Legendary is right
Interesting that Merle wrote most of his songs. Always thought of him as more a performer than songwriter
Yes he got given hell for writing Okie from Muskogee.

Is Steve Earle wearing a Rolex Daytona panda dial??... man.. who says hillbillies dont have taste! lol
😆
The problem with Steve Earle is that no one even knows even half of his most brilliant songs. I play More Than I Can Do for people and their eyes go wide. Radio is to blame. This song should have been heard all day long, in everyone's kitchen. Radio is GARBAGE. It is all controlled by corporations. That doesn't work for guys like Steve. So, go out and buy one of his LPs you don't have. Give the finger radio and the fact that it isn't about music, but money. (How could radio not be about music?? But it is not.)
so that hick accent in Copperhead Road was a total put-on?
When you are an entertainer no one pays you to 'just be yourself'. We pay for lies, fakery and just a little excitement sprinkled with talent.
You want to hear a real accent. Listen to John Anderson talk or sing. No fakin that. LOL
His voice and accent has evolved like we all do. Especially when you move and lot and travel the world
@@xkguy so his activism against death penalties and political wars is a charade...........no fuckin' way !¡!
He's raised in San Antonio Texas he hasn't exactly got a New York accent he has always sang the same way since before Copperhead road that was his 3rd album, listen to his first Guitar Town he sounds more hillbilly on that. Sorry I don't get your point he sounds pretty southern to me.
