- Filmhub is changing how they do business. What are your thoughts on the new pricing structure? Do you know anyone using these new packages?

Want to know about the setup I use to film my talking heads? Let me know.
Thank you, im a filmmaker too. This is helpful and i just started Filmhub today!
Best of luck! 🙏
I was thinking of doing my SRT captions myself as well since my software can do that. Can you explain what was it about your captions that they had an issue with? You would think it’s simple enough
Yeah I used software mixed with small edits and it didn’t pass for a few reasons. Some parts they said didn’t match to the fraction of the second they needed. The other reason was the subtitles didn’t have the spun effects and other slight noise. Now I have used REV.com 3 times and never had an issue. Very low cost to just save the headache
@@thebiglaugh4889 Thank you
I think what made them decide to do packages because not every film they distribute makes money because not every filmmaker promotes their work and makes it a success. So if my film makes $10, they’re only getting 20% of that and they still have employees that need to be paid. The decision to go to packages is the same reason why everything is a subscription these days. So that the company can keep bringing in money.
Yeah a lot of investors. A lot of staff. They have to make an income somehow.
@@thebiglaugh4889 have you thought about testing Indie Rights to see which one works better for you?
Love it
What do you think of these new packages? You signing up?
i think is way to priced ...plus there cusomer care is not that gr8
I've had a longer delay with them on any deliveries. Communication is horrible now. Been waiting 4 weeks for an email response. And the double dip thing a big No for me.
Yeah communication is a big issue. The delays are for sure happening.
We've already seen these "boom and bust" cycles with several indie platforms.....
That is true. indie film distribution is in a weird place right now
Which service pays the best? Amazon or Tubi. What’s the cpm or per 1000 views rate? I’m trying to determine if they are worth the money to put on their streaming service as a small regular filmmaker.
I am not on the free version of Amazon. So people have to rent my projects or buy them on Amazon. So I can't really compare myself but I often hear Tubi pays a lot better than Amazon.
