Jinx was encouraging Vi to go on with her life and enjoy it with Caitlyn. Vi was not sure she and Caitlyn were going to survive the upcoming battle against Viktor and Ambessa. In light of this, Vi's actions in the cell after this scene make sense. She was actually following her sister's advice.
this REALLY helped me accept how this whole part of the episode played out. When I first watched it unfold, even as a Caitvi shipper, I was kind of shocked and disgusted. I saw it as "... after that whole conversation, you chose NOW to prioritize getting back together with your girlfriend? Instead of trying to find your sucidal sister??" But given how uncertain it was that *anyone* was making it out of the next so-many-hours alive, and the purpose behind what Jinx was just saying.... yeah. I get it.

this season really needed a 4th act. to fit all of these story lines. the last 2 episode felt so rushed im not saying the ending was bad but the pacing was all over the place
Ngl the pacing was a head scratcher for me I'm like "this is moving too fast" and also "this is just right" not sure where I stand but it feels almost complete. Like ok what happens to Viktor and jayce why does Cait have her eye in the game Jinx is alive but how? Warwick is also alive. So many questions
How many times can Vi lose her?…. But the whole season has been getting at the fact that they weren’t meant to be together again but that she and Cait were meant for each other. As Viktor told Jayce back in episode 2, “our paths diverged long ago, it was affection that held us together”. To be whole, they have to be apart. Jinx knew that for her, but it took Ekko to tell her it was worth it for her to keep going.
I think its because Jinx said to Vi herself that Powder is gone and Vi choose the "Jinx" seat in season 1 in front of Vi. Vi also saw Jinx freak out when Viktor called her "Powder". So being Jinx isnt necessarely a bad thing its not who she is now its just a name she goes by. At least thats how I think Vi see it.
Never have I wanted to hug her and tell her that’s not true more than that moment. I’ve been there, maybe not so dramatically but I have felt that way so much it hurts. When you just want to cut yourself out to stop hurting yourself and the people you care about. Moments like these that make my life feel seen… and it breaks my heart.
Don’t let others dominate you .if you know what I mean . Learn to have control on your brain on your emotions dont give this control to other people no matter how close they are But have a good heart , forgive them and always wish good for them .
Poor Vi and Jinx.........Why can't they have just one good ending for once in their life, where they both live together in happily. 231 Likes?! Thank you!!!!
maybe they do. Jinx is alive, leaving it all behind somewhere and Vi has Caitlyn and they both can grief together. Also Cait had that little smirk when she noticed that Jinx might be alive.
Because they can't just live together like they used to. They are no longer the same sisters they were in season 1. They both changed too much to just go back.
0:37 I think my favorite theme overall in Arcane is the family theme, and when Jinx said this line after everything that has happened so far (specially thinking back to season 1) it hit me hard
Jinx’s character arc really hit me bad after seeing this. I always blame myself for all the bad things happening to me. My best friend died two months ago from an OD followed by another friend a month later. All my friends dispersed after these incidents. No one called to check up on me or see if I’m alright. I now get high everyday by myself and keep thinking to myself when it’s my turn. I always wish I had a Vi in my life.
This may sound cheesy, but you can do what Jinx says to do in this scene, break the cycle. I never thought I’d be able to quit smoking. I loved the high. But some way I did. You can do the same. You don’t have to follow in their paths. You can live for THEM. But I also learned the choice has to be made by yourself, no matter what I say or what anyone else says. I hope you’re alright. The choice is YOURS.
@@randomyoutuber463thanks for the replies. I almost forgot I posted this because I was so upset and high. I’ll just go with the flow. Whatever happens, happens.
Had to rewatch this scene to confirm... there is no way that Vi would know that Jinx was going to kill herself once she was free from the cell. People criticize Vi for daring to have a moment of selfishness after... a whole season plus more of fighting to protect everyone else at her own expense. Plus, we don't really know how long Vi was locked in there before Caitlyn finally came down and unlocked the cell. Vi was already cried out, hell Vi practically moved into the cell herself, taken back to when she was once locked up. Jinx was long gone, and even if Vi ran after her, how would she know where to look? Caitlyn couldn't find Jinx's hideout for MONTHS, how would Vi know? It had to be Ekko after his time travel adventure. For all Vi knew, Jinx just ran away, far away, since as Jinx said in her last words in this scene "You don't have to worry about me anymore. You don't need to feel guilty for being happy. You deserve to be with her." We as the audience know Jinx wants to end her life, but Vi doesn't. She was unconscious for so long. (Also funny that Jinx is saying Vi doesn't need to feel guilty for being happy, and fans are attacking Vi for being happy that she didn't lose everyone again.)
Plus it's not even totally selfish. Vi kisses Caitlyn because Caitlyn tells her she let Jinx go, she's giving her another chance. The reason she's so overcome is what Caitlyn has done *for Jinx*.
I think she deserves to ride off into the proverbial sunset in one of those airships she said she wanted to ride one day. Go off, do something else. There’s not much left in Piltover and Zaun but painful memories. And just being there would cause problems for Vi. The people at large aren’t just going to forgive and forget what she’s done, even if Vi and Ekko do. She wants them to get living without her holding them back, and move on herself. Find somewhere else to go, something else to do. Because… I think that’s the closest to fair they’re going to get.
The most beautiful thing about this scene is, I think, that since Vi knew what it was like to be locked in a cell, and especially in what Jinx's state was like, it was moving to see her run and hug her tightly. 🥺🥺🥺 my poor baby blue 😢😢💙
That line where she says Vi deserve to be happy with Caitlyn hits so hard. She knows that Vi will never stop until she will get Powder back but Powder is gone. She also wanted to have Vi back but at the end of season one she realized that Vi also changed and they just can't go back to be little loving sisters like before because they both changed too much. Despite that they are still sisters so she still cares about her and knows the only way for Vi to let her go and have a live happy life with Caitlyn she needs to disappear from her life. And she decided to do just that and leave the cycle. What a nice character development.
"There's no good version of me." Ekko literally meets the best version of her in another reality. It's why he was the only one who could stop her from ending it all.
Just noticed this.. when jinx says "there is no good version of me" It kinda makes me think that she meant Jinx, not powder. Atleast i think the writers were intentional with that line.
0:23 Her eyes, her position. A callback to when Silco took her under his wing. Alexandre Cabanel's Fallen Angel. But the Fallen Angel doesn't want to seek revenge anymore. The Fallen Angel wants inner peace. The Fallen Angel wants to rest. Forever. I love it ♥
I aint gonna lie, they kinda fumbled the bag on act 3 pacing all over the damm placed and definitely rushed as hell theirs definitely gonna be another season too cause of the ending which leaves another question on why would they even say this would be the final season then like wtf
All of the people assuming that Vi has the same omnicient perspective the audience does and understands the existential nuance of what Jinx is saying are extremely frustrating. Breaking the cycle could mean making a huge weapon and destroying both cities. It could mean skipping town forever. It could mean any number of things. Of course WE know what she might have meant because of the Silco sequence right before (and the top of ep9) but Vi, critically, does not see into her mind or know the future like we, the audience, do. Just...god. Have some charitability for the writing people. Edit: Plus, by the end of the series Jinx acts on the more positive interpretation of the Silco vision, e.g. leaving town, "walking away." *Flying* away, rather. Brilliant.
You put my thoughts into words exactly. Hell, even with the context of the prior scene with Silco, I still thought Jinx was only talking about running away when she mentioned “breaking the cycle” here. I see no in universe reason Vi should have immediately known Jinx intended on killing herself.
Right. Vi had no way to know what she was suggesting here. And she's been trying so goddamn hard for so long to reach Jinx... people are being way too hard on her.
not a good version of me. Tears came to my eyes ..... poor Jinx lost what she started to love Her sister slapped her when she needed support the most.. life has given her too much ... She made an awful lot of mistakes, we all know. But no villain is born, bad is always due to circumstances. Powder just wanted to help, but it didn't turn out well, and when she found out what she had done, she didn't get a hug, but a slap and the feeling that the only person she had left was gone. We all know that Vi did not leave, but circumstances did so. I love Jinx so much, that character invited me to another universe, Arcane is an incredibly good series. Jinx, praise God, has survived and is looking for her own way. Hopefully in a few years we will hear about it . ( i love you Jinx )
both sisters emo 🖤 parallels are shown in act 2-3 they’re both lost the lights alcoholism/suicidal tendencies and then returned back in the most devastating ending ever 💔 (but ik jinx is still alive her shimmer lights we’re seen)
My only gripe with this episode is Vi does not immediately try to go after her sister who tells her shes going to end her own life after her cell is unlocked.
1. She didn't Say She wanted to go suicide, she said She wanted to break the cycle, which Is a reference to her dialogue with dead silco but Vi couldn't know the meaning of It. 2. She specifically told Vi to "not feel guilty for being Happy" and "to stay with her GF" before going away. If Vi doesn't feel guilt After that are you gonna shove It down on her anyway?
Cause Vi only cared about Cait's coochie. Why else do you think she willingly ignored Powder? That's how lesbian characters are always written. Throwing aside family for a stranger.
@@mirai1-p8gbro that literally just means im going to end it you deserve to be happy. she swiped keys off the guards only to get jinx out of there and tried to convince her (jinx) to come with her (vi), if about a few hours later that changes then its judt stupid. vi clearly wanted to save her still, the sex scene cannot be explained, it was just fan service
I feel like her hair is sort of symbolism. When we see her as powder in the other dimension (and when she was younger) she has short hair, like she’s free. And when she’s Jinx, her hair is super long almost like she’s carrying a lot of baggage. Near the end, she cuts it off, perhaps showing her redemption and return to powder.
or her recognition that "Jinx" and "Powder" are part of the same picture again. Remember, she cut the hair right before she tried to blow herself up (FIVE TIMES, Go Ekko!). Her attitude in the battle, later, expression and postures? she's finally reintegrated-more than Jinx, more than the Powder anyone but maybe Ekko could have imagined.
Jinx looks a lot like rapunzel with her hair down. After reconnecting and bonding as sister last act, I expected Vi to call her Powder instead of Jinx, just once. I kinda bummed that she didn't. 😢
Jinx wants Vi to call her Jinx, Vi calling her powder would just piss her off, that was the whole point of season 1, she wants to be accepted for who she is now not who she was when she was a child
I think that's because VI kinda felt that her sister(powder) is gone since the end of season 1; she lost hope in her She think of her as jinx now Only jinx left We didnt even see vi calling her sister with the name powder in whole sez 2 She always called her Jinx She lost hope in getting back her sister
I'm saying this as someone who loves vi and someone who thinks jinx is still alive. I really don't think she deserved jinx's sacrifice (even if she did survive). I think she deserved happiness of course, but not from the cost of jinx. I don't really like how the writers wrote that ending tbh. To me as of right now it seems like vi continuously had just made it harder for her and jinx to reconcile due to her own denial and also cuz she was so stuck on trying to maintain the past, trying to force things to happen. I wish they wrote her realization of this in episode 6 and not when Cait finds her, I wish it was where she really could've owned up to her actions and had a discussion with jinx so they could've ended their arcs differently or something Idk. Ig I'm just expressing what I wish could've happened. idrk, that's how I feel rn.
my heart breaks for both of them here - jinx is depressed and grieving, numb to the hope vi has placed on her and only saying what she knows vi wants to hear so that she can leave and put and end to her pain, giving vi encouragement and permission to be happy before she leaves. and vi, who still and despite everything hopes powder can come back, takes jinx's retreat as another betrayal, not seeing how much jinx has gone through and needs help more than ever

All of Piltover was about to get absolutely destroyed by the Noxians and Viktor, surely y'all can understand that she couldn´t just leave Cait and everyone else to chase after Jinx again.
I think what the writers wanted to show was Vi could finally stop chasing after Jinx. There was a bit of a timeskip between Jinx leaving and Caitlyn finding Vi. During that time, Vi finally accepted she can’t get her sister back. As for the sex, there could be a combination of reasons. Vi could be using sex as a coping mechanism, since she knows she’s not going to get her sister back so she fully embraces Caitlyn. Because of the war happening, Vi doesn’t know if she’ll really end up happy with Cait, since either one of them could die, and she doesn’t want to put off their relationship any longer. Anyway just my opinion
@@Nickys_Corneralso the only person who didn't make her feel like she fucked everything up and trusted is like right there she also knows she can't stop jinx.
Leave it to schnee to give us an answer sooner or later. Remember, this is Arcane writers we're talking about. They are no run-in-the-mill average joes. I'm sure there is some meaning behind the sex scene, but I dont have the time to analyze everything right now.
makes me so mad that right after this vi dosnt go after jinx when cait opens the cell.. we know why she didnt, but man, ur sister was going to end herself
She sure did give up on her. The moment she got freed, instead of trying to find Jinx, she clearly had other priorities. What was the point of her story again?
Didn't Caitlyn say she told all those guards to defend the Hexgate? Caitlyn IS LETTING Vi free Jinx. That's why Vi was so....GRATEFUL. And what Jinx said was pretty ambiguous tbh, and given her history of theatrics, I think I can understand why Vi misunderstood her intention. Like, what does she mean by breaking the cycle? Blowing up Ambessa's camp could potentially break the cycle (of war). I'm not sure how much Jinx knows at this point about the upcoming war, but just LEAVING Piltover could also break the cycle (of them sisters hating each other, while also cannot abandon each other).
Considering that Jinx had so much trouble processing the idea that Caitlyn was not replacing her, telling Vi that she, "Deserved to be with her," and "didn't have to feel guilty about being happy," it really does make it obvious what Jinx was planning to do.
it's so sad they could never truly have a happy ending together, only apart which is why jinx at the end doesn't show back up despite surviving and instead flies away on a blimp
This just makes me desperately want a Shurima version where we see the fall of the Darkin. imagine going from godlike saviors to broken down demons hell bent on destruction. These writers would make it amazing

Instead of trying to find your sucidal sister??" But given how uncertain it was that *anyone* was making it out of the next so-many-hours alive, and the purpose behind what Jinx was just saying.... yeah. I get it.
I would have preferred if it wasn’t in her sister’s cell that she was hurting herself in and such.
@@pugisherpug4366 if it helps, we (in a calm, detached viewpoint) see it more clearly, but to them it's not so easy. They are all very hurt people right before the biggest confrontation of their life.
They don't think about the details, the need relief *now*.
They will absolutely look back at it later like "wtf was wrong with us!?" But in that moment it does make sense.
nah, that making zero sense if she actually love her sister. You can see Jinx is desperate and might kill herself soon. Instead of trying to save her, she choses sex. You can justify and defend this fanservice scene as you want, but it was disgusting

this season really needed a 4th act. to fit all of these story lines. the last 2 episode felt so rushed im not saying the ending was bad but the pacing was all over the place
Sadly true.
Still a 9/10 at least
Honestly I don’t see it, speaking personally the pacing felt fine too me.
@@flame_zzl9/10 is pretty accurate
Ngl the pacing was a head scratcher for me I'm like "this is moving too fast" and also "this is just right" not sure where I stand but it feels almost complete.
Like ok what happens to Viktor and jayce why does Cait have her eye in the game
Jinx is alive but how?
Warwick is also alive.
So many questions
*Jinx walks into darkness*
Jinx; Can you still see me?
Vi: No but I can hear you.
Jinx: Good good… okay bye..
Family Guy
Oh my GOD!!!😂😂😂
How many times can Vi lose her?…. But the whole season has been getting at the fact that they weren’t meant to be together again but that she and Cait were meant for each other.
As Viktor told Jayce back in episode 2, “our paths diverged long ago, it was affection that held us together”.
To be whole, they have to be apart. Jinx knew that for her, but it took Ekko to tell her it was worth it for her to keep going.
I'm kinda surprised she did not call her powder here
I think its because Jinx said to Vi herself that Powder is gone and Vi choose the "Jinx" seat in season 1 in front of Vi. Vi also saw Jinx freak out when Viktor called her "Powder". So being Jinx isnt necessarely a bad thing its not who she is now its just a name she goes by. At least thats how I think Vi see it.
@@K_Petarlolol lotta words for “you’d be deadnaming her” /lhj
Or after the explosion of isha's sacrifice she literally called Cait's name first and then jinx ! She didn't even say Powder , EVEN EKKO SAID POW
1:13 vi definitely got prison flashbacks
When I saw this I started crying, “Shes back in a cage!” 😢
This is literally what I said when this happened
Not really considering what comes after this
Jinx with free hair😍.
I didn't know that I need to see this until I saw it
Like a Blue Gothic Rapunzel
I swear I’ve never wanted to just hug someone and never let them go more than jinx in this scene.
One of the most heart-breaking moments in the series, I know exactly how she felt. God bless you Jinx!
Because Netflix, or this generation hates happiness and wants mankind to die. Because we condone sadism and self-destruction for the fxck of it.
Because they can't just live together like they used to. They are no longer the same sisters they were in season 1. They both changed too much to just go back.
Porque así es la vida uno no puede tener todo lo que quiere
I see it as an absolute necessity to make Jinx the cutest, most precious, and the most "must be protected at all cost" character in the show.
0:37 I think my favorite theme overall in Arcane is the family theme, and when Jinx said this line after everything that has happened so far (specially thinking back to season 1) it hit me hard
Jinx with Vi's haircut in ep9 mixed with blue and violet. She was Isha's Powder. The hero of Zaun
It always Jinx that make me cry on Every Episode.
Bless you. I can only wish you the best in life and have the strength to heal. I may be a stranger, but you have my support👍. Don't give up
Damn that sucks , I know I am stranger but I hope you doing okay if you ever need someone to talk to I'm always available

I'm surprised as Jinx slowly backed into the shadows, I was hoping for her to saying "I love you, Violet...", adding more to her pain...
Seriously, unbraided hair Jinx is the best thing in the series. Look how gorgeous she is! Also, you got the perfect thumbnail.
"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain". In Jinx's case it's the other way around.
"Big fat hero"
I'm glad they gave her the ending the gave her. Not perfect, but at least saved the day and the whole world.
Yeah. At least she used her explosive skills for the greater good and this time it didn’t backfire
@veronicapiccinini7956 i see people talking about Jinx faking her death. Hopefully she lives a new life far from everything.
Well, what would've been perfect?
yeah, it was a nice ending for her.
The most beautiful thing about this scene is, I think, that since Vi knew what it was like to be locked in a cell, and especially in what Jinx's state was like, it was moving to see her run and hug her tightly. 🥺🥺🥺 my poor baby blue 😢😢💙
"You don't need to feel guilty *about being happy"*
I'm bawwwling 😭 over here
That line where she says Vi deserve to be happy with Caitlyn hits so hard.
"There's no good version of me."
Ekko literally meets the best version of her in another reality. It's why he was the only one who could stop her from ending it all.
my poor girls...
Hands down I was Team Vi but Jinx is the best Character in the show and isnt even close. She never stopped loving VI. I love you Jinx
Long hair Jinx is more precious than my first edition Obelisk the Tormentorrrrrr
The autographed one or the one from the movie
Hair down Jinx is straight mythical
Just noticed this.. when jinx says "there is no good version of me"
It kinda makes me think that she meant Jinx, not powder. Atleast i think the writers were intentional with that line.
Giving Blessing to Vi , did isha bring powder back
0:23 Her eyes, her position. A callback to when Silco took her under his wing. Alexandre Cabanel's Fallen Angel. But the Fallen Angel doesn't want to seek revenge anymore. The Fallen Angel wants inner peace. The Fallen Angel wants to rest. Forever.
I love it ♥
Jinx tired 😭, losing Isha was the last straw
I aint gonna lie, they kinda fumbled the bag on act 3 pacing all over the damm placed and definitely rushed as hell theirs definitely gonna be another season too cause of the ending which leaves another question on why would they even say this would be the final season then like wtf
But this _is_ the final season - of Arcane, anyway. Whatever comes after this will take place somewhere else, with new characters.
I will never recover from this scene
Exactly. People assume Vi knew Jinx was going to kill herself, except... there's no way to know that's what she meant... at all.
Right. Vi had no way to know what she was suggesting here. And she's been trying so goddamn hard for so long to reach Jinx... people are being way too hard on her.
I want to hug them both so much.
Okay but there's no way Jinx ran at Mach 5 without tripping on her 3 meter long hair.
not a good version of me.
Other than how emotional this scene was, I didn’t know Jinx with untied hair is Blue haired Rapunzel.
It's so sad that we are not getting a third season. I would love to what Jinx would do after escaping death in the final episode.
Killing Isha and having a depressed Jinx makes me sad I was hoping they break the cycle of Jinx losing people but the writers ruined the show for me.
My only gripe with this episode is Vi does not immediately try to go after her sister who tells her shes going to end her own life after her cell is unlocked.
That part was a 1/10 overall, the rest is awesome
@@mirai1-p8g it's just a badly written fanservice scene. The only logical sense here is Vi rushing after Jinx trying to save her (with Ekko's help)
the way vi as soon as she opened the door she hugged her tight😢😢
I swear jinx can't catch a break! I want to be there for her
I feel like her hair is sort of symbolism.
The animation performance is so good, props to the animator❤❤❤
0:36 her sad eyes made me sadder 🥺
Jinx looks a lot like rapunzel with her hair down.
After reconnecting and bonding as sister last act, I expected Vi to call her Powder instead of Jinx, just once. I kinda bummed that she didn't. 😢
Jinx wants Vi to call her Jinx, Vi calling her powder would just piss her off, that was the whole point of season 1, she wants to be accepted for who she is now not who she was when she was a child
Hey, she changed her name so we should respect her choice even if we don’t agree
Jinx just isn’t Powder anymore.
Fundamentally in her self-perception she just isn’t that person anymore.
Ayyy not cool to deadname. Glad vi accepted that
I think that's because VI kinda felt that her sister(powder) is gone since the end of season 1; she lost hope in her
She think of her as jinx now
Only jinx left
We didnt even see vi calling her sister with the name powder in whole sez 2
She always called her
Jinx
She lost hope in getting back her sister
Vi asking Jinx to fight for Piltover with her says a lot about where Vi's heart really wanted to be. Jinx was perfect in this scene.
So after the explosion, Jinx runs to Demacia and live with Lux happily after, I mean after they beat Sylas together.
And I hope ekko goes there to find her 😢

All of Piltover was about to get absolutely destroyed by the Noxians and Viktor, surely y'all can understand that she couldn´t just leave Cait and everyone else to chase after Jinx again.
...And then Vi had sex with Cait while her sister is very clearly going to kill herself. Way to go, writers
I didn't understand either, it made it seem like Vi really didn't care
It's heartbreaking 💔
Hurts to hear Vi call her Jinx instead of Powder
Imagine what vi would’ve went through if Ekko didn’t rewind
That would be deserved, but then again, i don't understand Vi, she might not actually care that much and move on
Oh Vi. That's her baby 🥺
makes me so mad that right after this vi dosnt go after jinx when cait opens the cell.. we know why she didnt, but man, ur sister was going to end herself
She sure did give up on her. The moment she got freed, instead of trying to find Jinx, she clearly had other priorities.
What was the point of her story again?
Vi gave up on Jinx quite a lot, Jinx is just projecting
Apparently Vi's story is all about abandoning family just so she can be a lesbian.
I CAME FOR THE LONG HAIR OMG
jinx is the number 1 enemy of happiness
I really was conflicted between being sad and simping for her cause she look HOT omg
The way vi opened the cell so quickly
Considering that Jinx had so much trouble processing the idea that Caitlyn was not replacing her, telling Vi that she, "Deserved to be with her," and "didn't have to feel guilty about being happy," it really does make it obvious what Jinx was planning to do.
Well Vi became very happy very soon after that
And jinx finally broke the cycle, letting vi think shes dead is the inly way and its so sad
it's so sad they could never truly have a happy ending together, only apart which is why jinx at the end doesn't show back up despite surviving and instead flies away on a blimp
The scene after…
This just makes me desperately want a Shurima version where we see the fall of the Darkin. imagine going from godlike saviors to broken down demons hell bent on destruction. These writers would make it amazing

She literally wants to kill herself. I think she needs a little bit of fixing.
EKKO MY GOAT
What episode did jinx actively try to kill herself but ekko keeps on rewinding?
Season 2 Ep 9 and it was hilarious
i feel so bad for Jinx, she literally hinted that she’d kill herself but all Vi did was have sex with cait
That's why I ended up despising CaitVi in the end.
Would you believe me if I told you in that very same cell Vi and Caitlyn smash each other not even a few hours after Vi got told this by jinx
Crappy sister
CaitVi ruined Vi as a character.
Vi: No matter what we will always be sisters.
Vi kept that statement
And not "You're right my sister is gone."
In my head episode 7 is the real ending 😭
She went a whole act without calling her by her name, I kinda wish the addressed that or that it meant something
Whole season, she didn't call her Powder or Pow even once
Vi has the strongest bones 😅
Vi not giving up on Jinx no matter what is heartwarming, but seeing Jinx this defeated was saddening.
