not sure about how i respect Jim Mora as a coach, but certainly respect him as a man. This reporter was put in his place and Mora told him exactly what he deserved to hear.
It was obviously a tough thing for him to talk about in the first place. Jim's got a pair, that's for sure! Kudos to him for telling that guy off in the nicest possible way.
From a Michigan fan, such a sad loss in life and not just a team our game. Mora was much more forgiving than I'd have been. Just a clown shoes move of a "reporter".
One of the first lessons to learn: walkaway before you do something you'll regret. Much respect for Coach Mora for showing such self-control. I probably would gone off on that piece of shit, made the situation even worse for myself & the team.
Unfortunately, all of todays technology and social media (smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) seem to have a lot of people thinking they're MUCH more important than they actually are within the grand scheme of things. I just pray that those of us on here who do have sense and proper etiquette, lets do our best to outweigh those who don't. Otherwise, I have a bad feeling about my generation moving forward.
Mora is completely justified here. I'm 20 years old, and half the time I'm ashamed to be around people my age due to their poor etiquette (most of my friends do have manners about it, but others I see don't even seem to know what manners are). However, it's not just people my age (or younger). Unfortunately older people have become infected by technology as well. In just about every case it is rude to ignore a human being when answering a phone/responding to a text, but especially here.
"what to get a away?" that's what that idiot tech guy probably was hoping for...Damn that was one bad ass glare. Props to Mora to putting the man on blast!!
Looked as though he was regaining his thoughts and was going to continue, until the asshole told him to "go on". That's when he flipped the switch off and left before he said something he might regret.
While the guy talking on the phone and then telling him to go on was completely disrespectful, you have to also observe how Mora took advantage of the situation and left towards the end, not because he's frustrated and couldn't continue, but because he wanted to spite the dude. In conclusion, he's not very humble himself.
Great comment. It DISGUSTS me how inconsiderate and self righteous people are today with their phone "etiquette." Like the park employee who just ran a woman over in a park in San Francisco because HE WAS ON HIS PHONE. Put YOUR PHONE AWAY, pay attention and be RESPECTFUL! My thoughts and prayers go out to Nick Pasquale. RIP. Too young to go.
In my defense, I was settin' up some strange for later tonight, and you have no idea how hot this chick is. Now with this story Coach Mora completely fucked it up, along with my life. He should apologize.
Mora is a good man, his dad was a good man, guys like this won't put up with the cheap shit of reporters and others with no sense of respect. His walking out is the ngreatest tribute he could have given to the boy who died and his family
He left cause he was going to kill the due. you must don't know mora. he has a very bad temper. but he is so right in this situation. you can't continue with that type of disrespect.
Nope. Mora over reacts because he is emotionally compromised. Watched a few of the videos to the right and people talk in the background in almost every one. Its sad a kid died yesterday, but so are about 200 people in Syria today. Phone etiquette and respect aren't the problem, hell, its a news conference, not a eulogy. We care more about one kid because he played football than a hundred thousand Syrians. Thats the problem and its a big one.
Great job Coach. This is why you are one of my favorites.
Good for Jim Mora! He said and did the right thing. Power to him!

Well done Mora, glad to know someone has the guts to tell people like that off.

good for coach he did the right thing. If that were me I probably would have blown up, so extra props for not losing your cool

I just became HUGE Jim Mora fan.
Well done.

My confrontation to people who talk and talk on their cell phones, when there's something important going on

It wasn't a reporter. It was a TV Technician.
Screw the football game, I want to see Mora and Pelini go at it, that would be fun to watch.
That's real rage, not the fake stuff.
I don't blame him for leaving one bit!
Owned
Doucher just got sent to MAN CAMP by Mora, Good job coach. RIP Nick
Sometimes disrespect is earned.
"what to get a away?" that's what that idiot tech guy probably was hoping for...Damn that was one bad ass glare. Props to Mora to putting the man on blast!!
I'm proud of you Mora for calling that jackass out !
what happened?
MAYBE I WILL!!!!!!
shouldn't have told him to "Go on", bro...

I wish Jim would have turned the table over and punched his lights out!

One day Jimbo is going to leave the stage and go into the pool and take one of these bozos out.

Telling someone to shut up isn't disrespectfully?
This is a man. If you don't know what a real man is, take notes.
Good for you, coach. People are like Pavlov's dogs with those stupid phones. Idiotic ...
Looks like markie mark

Looks like that man needs to get over it. What a baby over something small like a phone call.
Some people are just complete idiots and have no sense nor respect.

If ur phone is more important than the speaker, gtfo of the room.
Karma is a bitch, and when you say stuff like that, you will likely find out firsthand.

Meh...I was expecting more rage...
Yeah one of your friends died but don't be sad because thousands of other people died? Step away from the internet please.
