Thanks for the virtual tour! My wife, daughter, and I are training for pedaling the Shikoku Circuit, cycling 1000 kilometers around Shikoku in 11 days, in early June 2028. Any suggestions?

That’s sound so exciting. Shikoku is very beautiful especially during summer. I don’t have much suggestions. Some places in Japan doesn’t accept card, it is good to have enough cash with you. You can also use delivery services for your luggages. It is very convenient so you can travel light. Another suggestion (based on my cycling experience), because normally bus doesn’t allow us to bring in our bicycle, you might want to check a pick up service you can call in case of emergency.

@@kathchoice Good advice! I'll write this down. Any suggestions about luggage delivery services and 🚲 pickup services? We don't have those in rural eastern Idaho and I'm unfamiliar with them. My wife and I are studying written and spoken Japanese, and I am writing down the route information in Japanese and English. And I am working on translating and understanding the restaurant and coffee shop menus on the route.

@Mr.NotImportant-qu5rx for luggage delivery service normally we use TA-Q-BIN. Most of the time we send luggage from 1 hotel to another. Normally hotel receptionist helps us with the delivery arrangement (you need cash for this). Some convenience stores do offer TA-Q-BIN service also. The bicycle pick up company we used before is called WAKKA. You might need to check their area of service and whether the bicycle rental company accepts bicycles being returned by a third party. Google translate do helps a lot.

Hi Kath, great video, enjoying your shikoku series; hoping to go next week - how exactly did you book the tickets for the iyonada monogatari? Was this in/outside japan or online?
