Thanks for the tutorial which was well explained. My PS4 was in 5.05 and is now in 6.72. I noticed that Mira makes me crash when I try to load it, but Mira (unofficial) loads and works like a charm. I'm so glad to play Final Fantasy VII now!

i haven't switched my PS4 in 1 year, just to see if it was after watching the video, sad to find out it is on 7.02, I'll wat for you video in the future. PS loved the Switch stuff that you did.
Make absolutely sure it stays on 7.02. The kernel vulnerability that works for 6.72 will also work for 7.02. The only thing missing is a webkit vulnerability for 7.02, but it shouldn't take long. Once we have that, there will be a jailbreak for 7.02. There is no known kernel vulnerability for 7.50 and higher, so do not update.
@@matchomin6869 My 6.72 jailbreak is very stable for me and it even supports rest mode so I don't have to keep visiting the exploit page. I use " 6.72 Exploit Menu By Leeful v6 Beta Test" and it never crashes for me. Run HEN not mira.
@@dequan916 That's not the case for me, no game that's on my external drive will load. As others have said if I move the game to the internal storage its fine. No issue as I have everything stored so have ordered a 8TB drive and will do a fresh install
@@King_Noel Seagate makes a 5TB 2.5 inch hard that can fit (internally) in first gen PS4's and I have been running it for I think 3 years with no problems. I have 51 games installed and only using 1.5tb of the 4.5 tb I have so I have no experience with external drives at all. All my games loaded fine after doing this but I guess it doesn't work for external drives.

Hi. As always very clear concise and will be a trusted resource for long time. However one bit of constructive criticism. I've read that to avoid the game library from getting lost on updating from 5.05 to 6.72, one may need to restore the index file. Hence the creation of an index file for the 5.05 ps4 console prior to update may be useful.
I updated from 5.05 to 6.72. My 5.05 games(like witcher 3, final fantasy 15, gta 5 and so on) are all working on 6.72. My 5.05 backported games (spiderman, days gone and fifa 20) are also working well. i didnt need to reinstall the pkgs. The saves for all these games are also intact and i can continue from where i left off. Hope that answered your questions
Only If you ran out of 5.05 games then do the update to 6.72 , those guy need perhaps couple of weeks more to stable this one over , you dont want to put your harddrive in risk with any occasional crashes
Hello, at the end of the week I finally upgraded to 6.72 and jailbreak step by step as shown in your video, everything is OK, my Saves are OK, my games are also OK, but I checked when trying to install games in storage extended it gives the error CE-41799-9 in almost all games but I can install them in the system memory, when it was in version 5.05, I installed the games in the extended storage. Is the problem with my HDD? 😔 Help there.
I really hope when you go over the dumper payload you can tackle some issues with games that essentially will not dump...for example staying stuck on "waiting for game to copy"

And, would the games, that are for 6.72 and I backported to work in 5.05, function in 6.72? or I have to redownload all games and install them once I updated to 6.72? 2.- Do you know if my saved games will work in 6.72? or do I have to start all again? 3.- Do you know if your tutorial of "improving speed of remote pkg installer with Ethernet cable" will work in 6.72? and: 4.- Does the external hdd work in 6.72 with no mistakes? Well, I have those ones by now, maybe you can make a video answering them, thanks for all tutorials.
1 A. Yes, kinda self explanatory B. I wouldn't see why not, there might be some that get buggy but I don't see why it wouldn't work. 2. 1 A is your answer. 3 and 4. I did the early jailbreak and no they did not work, now the stable jailbreak would most likely run games off of USB but with the remote pkg I believe they have to update it to work on 6.72.
@@KoofyShop Depending if you want homebrew capability then stay on 5.05 for now, if homebrew doesn't matter to you and all you want to do is play backed up games then 6.72 is best bet because you won't run into backporting issues if you choosen an unlucky game.

my ps4 crashes after installing mira, it shows the "the jailbreak succeeded" but it then crashes to go black and then comes back to the menu and its not jailbroken, any help :( ? edit: i fixed the problem, installed mira (unofficial) intead

It's a lot more stable now. Not quite to the same stability level of the 5.05 Jailbreak yet but not too far off. Sometimes I'm chain loading payloads without a single crash, other times I'm crashing one in every 3 tries. So still a bit hit or miss.

@@brad8655 your DNS is not configured properly i guess. instead of adding the Al-azif`s DNS as mentioned by MWF, just do a regular internet setup with automatic DNS instead of setting it up manually and see if it fixes your problem. If it does, then add the DNS of Al-azif again. This will give you some idea for the reason of the error.
Please Help I've done everything in the video, but when i press the Mira, this happens? Jailbreak succesful Waiting for Client Then it goes into a black screen and returns to the home menu of the PS4. When i go to the settings menu, there is no Debug settings. If i try to run Mira one more time, it gets to the waiting for client part, and then it just freezes. I have to pull the plug to make it restart. The wierd part is that, back in September i tried this, and i got Mira to run just fine. Can anyone tell me what could be doing this?
Tried this on Ps4 Pro. It's just freezes or screen turns black and seems to reload the system(doesn't reboot just looks like it is). Update: Using the Mira Unofficial it works on the first try with no problems. However, rest most is buggy and doesn't work
Hi, thank you for all your tutorials and great content. I just wanted to give my input to what I found when running the jailbreak. I used to get continuous failures and kernel panics, but now I run the jailbreak, and if by attempt 3 it doesn't pass, I let the jailbreak run, then while its trying to do its thing, i go and clear Cookies, and then continue. This works 9 times out of 10, and Jailbreak happens almost every time on the next try. "Maybe I am lucky, maybe its maybelline" (Old tv add as reference)

I loaded MIRA for the first time after updating to 6.72 and my PS4 is now frozen on "Wating for clients"
