    Looks like assassin is a Russian custom knife maker and this is a production version of the ARGO. Stoked to check it out.

    It is beautiful. I want it for my Kizer collection.
    Kizer Micarta really is some of the best looking Micarta out there.

    Assassin is the designers brand, he's also a custom maker. I just bought the black and orange one and can't wait to get it in my hand.

      I'll be eager to know what you think. As it happens I ordered the orange and black one too, but this is what showed up, ha! 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for watching John!

      @@mildmannerededc I'll be sure to let you know, I find myself gravitating to either larger knives these days or really small knives I'm kind of done with the 3-in to 3 1/2 in blade size.

    This was a great watch for me. I just purchased it and it arrived last week. Really love the style of the knife and I had to go order it a little bit blind as there are few videos on this product. Love the knife and it is very different

    Definitely a bigger knife but digging the profile for sure! The fact that they keep it slim for it's size can absolutely make a difference!!! Gotta do the quick flip...lol!! Thanks for the great look at the In Yan Brad!!!

      For sure!! Yeah the old "pull and run" not sure I used the best terminology there. Bahahahahaha 😆 Thanks for checking it out my friend.

    Excellent early review of this great looking knife. Thank you. I was able to pick up one from White Mountain Knives that's now on it's way to me. Can't wait! Oh, and also just subscribed to your channel... I really like your mild-mannered review style.

      Awesome, great pick up! The In Yan is flying a bit under the radar I think at the moment... it's a very nicely designed large folder and for the price and construction it gets a 👍🏻from me. Really appreciate the kind words and the sub, thank you Bob!

      Too big for me too... but definitely a nice option for those that like big, but not so big it's a pain to carry.

    Where did you snag the one w micarta scales? Only options I'm seeing are OD G10 w black blade or orange G10 w satin.

    • @AE-po8ip
      @AE-po8ip 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely not free spinning. D shaped pivot on this custom collab with Assassin knives. Ali Express has sales on this on the official Kizer stores - keep an eye out - picked up for $48 myself. Incredible knife.

  • @nicks8026

    I like the color palette but I’m not a huge fan of the proportions. The weird transition at the bolster accentuates the fact that the blade looks too big for the handle, at least to my eye. Also, the weight… that’s more than my ZT 0640, which is already pretty damn heavy.
    As a side note, I’m just about fished with community service from getting caught for the old “pull and run.”

    • @mildmannerededc
      @mildmannerededc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bahahahahaha... yeah that may have been a questionable turn of phrase. It's a heavy knife, no question, but I think the dimensions make it better to carry than you might think. As for the aesthetics... I can see your point, not sure I agree, but that's always a subjective issue. Thanks for watching my friend!

      @@mildmannerededc as a side note, do you still own the Civivi Pintail? I picked one up last week and love it aside from the flipper. I’m considering taking out the Dremel and removing the flipper but that’s a bit scary 😧 since I’m far from experienced with this sort of thing.

    • @mildmannerededc
      @mildmannerededc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nicks8026 I do still own the Pintail. It's a great candidate for a flipper delete. I wouldn't trust myself with the task, but I'm sure you're up to it!!
