Fun fact: back in WW2 many people put their valuables in a safe and then in the canal, they didn’t want the Germans to steal it all. And also many people put them in the canal so after the war they could find their safe and restore wat they threw, but many many safes where never found again. Many didn’t survive to retrieve their safe’s.
And he’s probably laughing because he knows they’re all empty! (I know you made this comment three years ago but I just found this channel and I am absolutely enthralled!) 😇
Love seeing the canals and the old buildings that hold so much history in and around them, so cool!! Waterways are great places to get rid of evidence. Thief’s steal safes, empty them and throw them in the canals. Smart but destructive. Thanks Nicky for the great shots of the gorgeous flowers!!🤙🏻☺️🐬
Yes I totally agree, you make us laugh all the time with your endless joy, your laughter sounds really exactly the same as a mate of mine, that's awesome, you could be his laughter twin bro :)
There you are my dear Bondi I love watching you I love your accent and I'm happy you got a girlfriend or a best friend whatever she might be but I love you you are a handsome man and you do entertain and you do make me laugh I just had a birthday the 2nd of this month and just turned 69 and I'm thankful to God above that he has given me 69 wonderful years may you stay blessed may you stay well take care
Top Tip: If you want to open a small safe relatively easily, drop it on the ground, with force, so that one of the corners along the hinge line slams into the pavement. She'll open right up for ya. Great video! Much love
I've been watching your videos this year. (2020 has some benefits!) I was happy to find a magnet fishing set for beginners with a coupon code making it half price! I now have my own magnet, rope and gloves with a carry bag! I can blame you. Blessed be you and your friends. Dennis.
My boss got me totally hooked on this adventure! I told him he'd better hurry and order his magnet, because I'm going to order mine! Will be a couple's adventure on the Arkansas rivers and (local) lake! Now to find the perfect magnet and good hook!
i think that are papers from a judge or a notary , that pot of soda it ,s from you used in the kitchen there must be three sand soap and soda on a standard , stay safe❤😊👍
Watching your videos is awewsome not only the cool things you find but what your doing for the edviroment is to much. I'm sure the impact you have is awsome. Thanks from a planet lover and my great great great grand kids great grand kids.
Those safes with all the mud you should use your little metal detector to scan the mud and have 2 buckets of water and a sieve to wash it off it might have had diamonds in there!!!
@18:58 I think that is an old 'emaille' cup from WW2. It has the letters a and d. These are in Gothic script/blackletters. Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackletter
heard you been talkin with a friend of mine, glad your back here though my wife doesnt love the detector vids. love that we can see ya back here again. probbebly gonna talk to you soon in person. stay healty in the mean time! :D
Leigh I think you should have stayed at ibeza at least you found some old coins and the weather was incredible All you get back in Amsterdam is busted old safes and stinky mud 👍👍😍😍
Enjoying your enthusiasm even when every safe does a Geraldo on you. That safe cracking tool is a called a Wonderbar in the US and every handyman has one. And by the way, those scissors were actually hemostats. It’s a surgical tool for controlling bleeding or to secure drapes during surgery. Also make great tool for holding the doobie.
They notify council or something like that by an app that marks the location and they pick it up. That is such a great way to do it and have fun without doing the rest.
I always wonder why people throw safes in canals and stuff. Bought myself a magnet yesterday and started here in river Maas Roermond, the only thing so far I got was loads of pipes and nitrous oxide cartridges...
I catch these videos on and off over time ....Have they ever given an explanation as to WHY there may be so many safes in these canals? I'm curious now.
Somebody above said the Dutch dumped a lot of theirs around World War II, keep the Nazis from getting them. Most of what Bondi finds seem to be modern though.
I was wondering... In that small safe 17:54 - there was like a dry mud inside... Did you ever considered that there might be human ashes inside of those?
I can imagine there would be great things in there, being occupied by German troops in the war, it would have been the first place people dumped stuff. The stories it could tell. Thanks for your vids, from a fellow Aussie 🇦🇺
I think you can get mini hand held, sort of torch sized metal detectors, waterproof too might be good to run over the mud stuff you find in safes. dont forget diamonds and other gemstones can be little, maybe a kitchen sieve. I imagine just be good for the safes not opened or have found other jewellery in.
Serious question for the treasure hunter. Side mount or top mount for the Eyelet on the double-sided magnet? After I use the thread locker there's no turning back!
Looks like a member of the boating public was also a hotel thief and chose that spot to ransack those boxes than toss the evidence over the side. Having “harvested” the easy pickings they just hauled up anchor and moved on to the next spot. Clever.
Thx for Watching 🤙Where should I go on my next adventure???
Take a dive into the Amsterdam canals for the remaining thrash
Where ever you and Nicky go...we go!! ❤️🙏😎
Put some locations in a randomizer and let it be a surprise for you and nicky!🙃

It blows my mind that there are seriously that many safes out there. But damn it sure is fun to watch you catch them and open them up!
Blows my mind too mate but I’m definitely not complaining- I love it! 😂💪👍😄

Interesting thanks for info. Thought it weird so many safes out there.
That is really interesting.
That’s what I’m taking about 🥳🥳🥳💪💪💪 it’s out there!!!
Makes sense, now you mention it. I guess these tend to be more modern ones. I was thinking they were all thieves or clumsy people.
That's sad but I don't doubt it.
I like how Nikki was being artistic. She pans the pretty flowers over to muddy magneteers. Great video, as usual.
She’s got some skills behind the camera 🥳🥳🥳😄😄😄👍👍👍
The guy who stole all those safes and dumped them in the river is probably watching from one of the windows.
And he’s probably laughing because he knows they’re all empty! (I know you made this comment three years ago but I just found this channel and I am absolutely enthralled!) 😇
Bonding, you are the "Steve Irwin" of Magnet Fishing! You make EVERY find exciting! LOL
It is crazy the number of safes you two have found recently. It’s fun watching how excited you get.
I love finding safes I can’t believe it either!
@Bondi Treasure Hunter why do safes get thrown?
Love seeing the canals and the old buildings that hold so much history in and around them, so cool!!

Suddenly I feel "safe" watching your videos again! 😁 Always good to see Dennis.
Michael Goeres Thanks Mate 🤙🏻

Jason Goff 😂🤙🏻
lol so true
Or I don’t find a bike...wait I didn’t find a bike 😬😬😬😬😂😂😂
😂😂😂
😂
I think you have found a thieves dumping ground 👍🏼🇬🇬
Definitely looks like it but they were amateurs compared to the amount we found in the other canal 😂😂😂
It's all the safes from the Nazis in world war two
I love your show but your positive personality makes it worth watching. Thanks for brightening our day 😀
Thanks for the positivity in your message - glad you’re enjoying the adventures 🥳😄🤙👍🙌💪🍻

You need to add Dennis's name to your channel as much as you call out his name during one fifteen to 30 minute show.
Haha
Dennis!!!! 😂😂
Amazing to see those beautiful pink Hollyhocks blooming there.
You should bring a small bucket with you so you can dip up some water to rinse away the mud, especially from the inside of safes.
Couldn't help myself...when you caught the trashcan I laughed so hard. That safe full has got to be out there!! Good Luck ❤️🙏😎
That trash can caught me off-guard like a punch line to a joke...laughed out loud here all by myself!
Yes I wonder if his best treasure ever was in the trashcan!! Lol
It caught me off guard 😂 usually I love to laugh at other people doing this while I film 😬😂👍
Just part of the adventure that I love to enjoy!! Thanks ❤️🙏😎

@@BondiTreasureHunter why are there so many bicycles in the water? I know it's a common mode of transport, but why are they ending up in the water?
That lil safe that dennis pulled up too cute.
The thing you thought was a steering wheel is more likely part of the inside of a speaker 🙂
Exactly
Yeah I was just gonna say that, too :D
Man, that's a super promising spot. I bet you guys will sooner or later find the motherlode. 🤙

That mud looks nasty but I like getting messy too
One of these days you will find a safe just full of stuff ! 👍🏻😎🤗
Everytime i hear him say Denis he always reminds me of Ozzy Osbourne saying Sharon for some reason
Surely Dennis's first find was 2 fat rolls of cash!Love all your posts, BTH! Xx

Dennis is going to need a holster for his safe cracking tool! 😆 💕 💕
Thanks for the Great vid

Yeah I was just gonna say that, too :D
what a pity all those safes were empty

Two of my uncles were stationed there in WWII.

What do you do with all the trash you find? Like empty safes or bycicles Can you just throw it away? Sell it as Metall? 🤔

I love it when you got the garbage can 😅😅
I was wondering... In that small safe 17:54 - there was like a dry mud inside... Did you ever considered that there might be human ashes inside of those?
When you get a muddy safe you could use a riddle [sive] to wash off and leave the large stuff behind
I can imagine there would be great things in there, being occupied by German troops in the war, it would have been the first place people dumped stuff. The stories it could tell. Thanks for your vids, from a fellow Aussie 🇦🇺
