Actually I found out 2 things this way of tying the figure 8 knot is called a centauri knot, the other way is a uni knot.

Please can you guys test the breaking strain using 80lb braid to 100lb hollow core to say 1,2m mono. So basically a knotless test

Please test another of your Berkeley mono's, say Trilene Big Game in the same stated breaking strain using the same knot, but add a micrometer measurement of each line's actual dia, not just staed BS and marked dia. Perhaps test other knots with this fluorocarbon line and others, say Trilene Fluoro Pro Grade. 54% (dry) knot strength seems very low.
