Xiexie Phil! Have been trying to learn Mandarin for ...well 25years plus! My ex was Chinese and current partner also Chinese. I can say a lot but listening skills still frustrate me. This video helps me realise I need to expand vocabulary and reading and listening. Thanks. I used to teach elementary school in BJ so my vocab is probably still too limited! Phil .. In Melbourne ;)
So great Phil (and Luke's videos as well... both of which I watch). Thanks for driving home the points that need to be said and staying on it. I recently watched one of Luke's videos and he said, "Get to 3,000 Characters as quickly as possible" LOL Just like that! and it "took hold" in me and I thought, "YES!" So armed with the Mandarin Blueprint Method coupled with Heisig, I'm really digging into to it - 3,000 will be attained! Started March 18, 2023. I'll come back here and date it again when I've reached 3,000. Game on! LOL :) Thank for all you insights and energy to help us move forward on the Mandarin Blueprint Road to Fluency...
I’m working on that also, what a great goal, I’m excited because I’m recognizing more characters talking to people who actually understand what I’m saying and getting better at formulating sentences, I thought I would never get there but i have so much good advice and working on it, this video is awesome, 谢谢你

The real questions I am asking myself is will I inevitably get bald when I reach fluency in mandarin? Is me loosing some hair at the top of my head a good sign I am on the track to fluency?
