Instead of strychnine , corrosive within 1 hour was present
sir gastric lavage can be done in strychnine poisoning after convulsions are controlled....but its definitely c.i. in hydrocarbon poisoning(ingestion) they are volatile
21:56 Gastric lavage is indeed contraindicated in the case of hydrocarbon (such as gasoline, kerosene, or lighter fluid) ingestion due to the high risk of aspiration, which can cause severe pneumonitis and other respiratory complications. It is not contraindicated in strychnine poisoning, though its use in such cases is generally considered if performed very shortly after ingestion and if the patient is intubated to protect the airway
C. Ingestion of Hydrocarbons
Go through the discussion part of that Q. You will understand clearly, why strychnine is the best answer
@@DrVishwajeetSingh Gastric Lavage is an absolute contraindication to hydrocarbon poisoning, there are many referrence of standard textbook, research and data sharing those information, I agree to you strychnine is also has a relative contraindication. The mainstay of management for strychnine poisoning involves controlling seizures and providing supportive care. Gastric lavage is contraindicated due to the risk of inducing seizures, which can complicate the procedure and potentially worsen the patient's condition. That doesn't mean that gastric lavage is an absolute contraindication. But for this question, I prefer hydrocarbon as the answer.
@@DrVishwajeetSingh Also hydrocarbon ingestion here means kerosine, gasoline and motor oil ingestion
@@Indian_trendzatleast read KSN Reddy textbook, you will understand from there I think.( Read about different types of hydrocarbons)
The answer here is & will remain Strychnine.
@@Indian_trendz that's another catch it's ingestion given in Q & not inhalation
