- Teacher JaNiece Jenkins saved a student’s life when he began choking on a water bottle cap in her classroom at the Community Charter School in East Orange, NJ. 9-year-old Robert Stonaker is alive today because Mrs. Jenkins jumped into action performing the Heimlich maneuver. JaNiece, Robert, and his dad sit down with Tamron to talk about the frightening incident. Plus, JaNiece gets a special surprise.

Kid definitely loves his teacher and asks if he's also going on the trip. It's a fair question considering he is part of the story. Hilarious! Loved this segment. I saw this video and surprised no one got the amazing teacher and charming pupil on their show to shine some light in her good work and the young man's instincts.

I miss teaching because of students like Roberts. A sweet and charming kid. I especially missed hearing one of my students screaming my name from his school bus in Virginia Beach and others leaving me notes on my desk apologizing for bad behavior on behalf of their peers. My students loved me, and I loved them. But financially, it was a struggle. That's the story of many teachers. I'll go back to education if they pay us more. Been out of the classroom now since June 2019.

Teachers only care about the money.
I wish they would hold the applause until the end or at least tone it down until Tamron is finished speaking. She had to practically yell louder to be heard and as she had to raise her voice louder, the audience got louder. It was ridiculous. I didn’t could barely hear what she said about the prize.
I have been a member of a few TV show audiences and there is a person there guiding and directing the audience when to applause.
