Mate,I use vm and set it using 192.168.121.1 gateway..means all the machines in my vm using .121 ip range. And i have another one gateway for my office LAN which in 192.168.120.1 range that contain our internal applications so the conlusion i got 1 network inside another one...which is 121.xx is network for my vm...120.xx is for my Office LAN. The question is how to block/restrict my vm from access my internal apps?Currently i can access it from my vm network(121.xx) network?

hi I have a problem. can you find a way or work around with squid and bandwidth limiter. just updated to the latest version and still no luck. when both are enabled fast sites load. slow sites does not load. the only way to make it work is to turn off squid or transparency. or set the limit to none. for now disregarded squid since the bandwidth limiter already save internet band width

betucho crazy faster YES! it is compatible... you can install Squid and SquidGuard packages on your existing pfsense setup.. Just go to packages and look for squid and squidguard.. just follow my video guide... In my production environment, I also have captive portal w/ AD authentication and the squid and squidguard for web filtering.. so it will probably work on yours too.. :) Good luck and thanks for your comment :)

Hey ; I have another question I have applied this and everything seems to work fine whiten short period after that the SquidGuard service state: STOPPED and some of my published websites get stoped working and show Reply from my external IP address with destination host unreachable ie: Reply from 41.222.134.130 destination host unreachable the original ip that I am pinging is 41.222.134.136 and after few minutes everything back to normal but with SquidGuard service state: STOPPED if I reenable it again I face the same issue What is wrong did I do ?

greetings bro.... i was able to successfully setup pfsense n everything working fine,,,,,, just one problem,,,,, the proxy filter blacklist option can filter all http sites,, but not HTTPS proxy bypass sites.... and it will take me a whole life time to get every https proxy bypass site ip n create an alias for dem,,,, so with your vast knowledge with pfsense, do u know of any blacklist to use that can give u https n http sites blocking... thanks in advance

I have done this steps many times and encountered zero problems...I never use the latest version yet so I cant tell..but I strongly suggest that you use the previous versions first like 2.1.4/5 then if everything works fine, you can upgrade to latest version later if you want....

good day po sir, nasunod ko po lahat at gumana naman ang web filtering. na block ang porn sites at downloads but after a day ayaw nang gumana ang web filtering, im using pfsense 2.2.2 updated po ang system. ano kaya ang problema? ilang ulit ko nang na install at re install ang packages, squid 2.7.9 and squidguard 1.4_7

***** dont know how this wil sound to u,....... i am using a virtual machine on my server, because i cant find two nic card pc for now..... so i can access the pf sense virtual machine on any computer on the network,,,, the ISP connects to a cisco catalyst switch, the server containing the vm also connected to dat same switch.....

It should work. Check mo baka may namiss ka. Save, Apply and Restart pfsense. Clear cache and try again.

If you are following the video, please pause it in every steps and check if you are doing the same and correct...

mohamed Esaily is this a virtual or physical setup? I have done this steps many times and encountered zero problems...I never use the latest version yet so I cant tell..but I strongly suggest that you use the previous versions first like 2.1.4/5 then if everything works fine, you can upgrade to latest version later if you want....

+Franklin Laxa set the IP of clients , it should be under pfsense network... also set your pfsense LAN dhcp enabled.
