She was incompetent for sure. On the other hand she was in a vulnerable state and having piss poor friends doesn't help. She was emotionally manipulated through the whole movie
Sounds like fun to me! I guess if you’re the type of person who wouldn’t find that fun then you’re probably not the kind of person we’d want around anyway lol.
I didn’t think about the drowned woman learning about Mia’s mom during her and Reilly’s convo, thus being able to trick Reilly and imitate her through Reilly until the time ran out. It makes much more sense now, I was wondering how Mia’s mom would’ve been an available spirit from the hand
Someone one a different video mentioned that you can hear water of the drowning woman when she becomes Mia’s mom and towards the end she becomes more bloated like the drowning woman. Right at the end Mia realizes that it’s not her mom because of what the woman said.
@@Ashana. yea I saw that! During my second watch, I noticed the water more throughout the movie. I also noticed that during the hospital bathroom scene, when Mia is having the vision of her mom banging on the door, you can hear her sloshing through water as she walks but when she opens the door and things go back to normal, there’s no water on the floor and the sloshing stops. Soo creepy, I love the subtle details
Not even thinking of Getting help from a full-blown spirit medium or a gypsy is beyond stupidity. This is just like trying to fix a pipe when you are not a plumber or having no plumbing experience at all. She should have get help from an expertise rather doing her way
you know what pissed me off the most? the fact that she stabbed her dad realized it was her real dad, and just left him to bleed out while she went to the hospital ( hoping that her friend would save him??!!) wtf
@@Mediados Truth. Only the ER is going to have an actual security force that bothers to do anything. Most ER's in major cities in the US have metal detectors and temporarily confiscate certain items that could be weapons, but that's about it. Walk into the actual main hospital and the entire security force vanishes lol.
I don't know what you guys imagine happens in a hospital. There are no guards, no alarms, no people watching the cameras. Because no one in their right mind would break into a hospital. The people there are understaffed and in a constant hurry. They don't give a shit who walks down the hall, there is more important stuff to do.
What got me mad is the fact that Mia overstepped her boundaries with Riley and gave him permission to use the hand when Riley’s actual sister said no. As much as she wanted to feel like Riley’s sibling, she should’ve respected jades decision. None of this would’ve happened if Mia didn’t let Riley use the hand.
Omfg yesssssss and it’s the fact that she wanted to go longer when she thought it was her mom 🌚 like if they stopped immediately when they said they would he would have been fine but she pushed
@@itzzzcicilia5295 Even beyond that, how dare she freeze up and not rush to save him, when the entire debacle is was literally caused by her egging on Riley AND THEN making him stay possessed for longer than the agreed upon time limit.
@@itzzzcicilia5295Let’s be real here. She is a teen whose mother died of an obvious suicide. That is honestly a really difficult decision to expect a grief ridden teen to make.

Their actions are like trying to do jobs that required expertise to do it properly and safely. These kids are people who think they are smarter than doctors when they get seriously ill
The thing I noticed when I watched it for the 2nd time is when Mia's "mom" is on screen you can hear the watery bubbling sounds the same one with the spirit who possessed Mia, it's a key indicator that it's not really the mom. So I kinda figured that it used Mia's memory to manipulate her.
The dead were the true victims of the movie. Imagine being stuck in Purgatory or limbo which is a punishment in itself but some dumb teen comes and opens the boundary and disturbing their rest.
Idk about rest, by the end of the movie it seems pretty clear that all of them are probably just walking around their last living places confused until they see the light of the hand. And it's clear a lot of them like coming to the hand, one was literally singing through the main character. One was getting freaky and telling secrets. I don't agree that the teens are ruining any rest lol
@@jinx724 but then why do they try to kill once 90secs are past? does it switches to a diff spirit? idk if they werent against it then why would they want to kill more people
When Riley's possession started getting worse, I was screaming at them to remove the hand, but they just stood there......and onto of that, they didn't blow the candle out. Mia was vulnerable and that let her to make some very dumb decisions. Still she saw the consequences of the hand, and chose to continue using it. Smh. I don't know how demon possession is a game and "funny."
Honestly it still works even if the hand is not an allegory for drugs and is an actual spirit gate. A24 has a record of showing how vulnerable people are when they are going through extreme grief or trauma.
Ohhhhhh THAT'S what the scene with the cigarette is about! Anyways, DARE doesn't work and actually made the drug epidemic worse, information and harm reduction campaigns are empirically shown to be extremely effective instead. ♡
This movie was actually really good, but damn did everyone piss me off. They already found a way to beat it, just take the hand off before 90 seconds. The whole thing started because they were laughing to much or way too nonchalant while they should be ready to take the hand off before 90 sec. No one reacted quick even when they know this hand really does invoke spirits. THEY KNOW IT WORKS. Lol Mia let the 90 seconds pass for her selfish reasons, but everyone else should have took the hand off anyways. I wouldn’t give af if she got mad that she couldn’t talk to her mom. Mia was just dumb, she immediately believed anything that her ghost mom told her. She knew she was hallucinating and still physically acted on them. It was literally just dumb decision after dumb decision. What a horrible ending for Mia, but she legit caused everything.
Just don’t use the hand at all and you win. Also the hospital security was terrible. It’s like they have no camera’s whatsoever, and also allowed her to escape with the boy very easily
Another thing to point out in each scene her mother appears her appearance gets even worse looking wet and decomposed, this is the first spirit she let inside her imitating her mother
if i realize that the group of people that I'm with in the party are doing similar thing, I'd have to reconsider my life choices and how I ended up making friends with these people, and leave immediately and don't talk to them ever again.
It's pretty simple, if you have friends who would endanger you and themselves for a laugh or a rush, they aren't friends. They are living proof for Charles Darwin.
That's good. This movie is clearly a metaphor for substance abuse. I did exactly that (not going along with the crowd) when I was younger and got ragged on by quite a few people for not snorting coke or taking E or whatever. Not that I haven't abused substances - I have definitely abused alcohol - but I knew what my comfort level with risk was. I don't regret not doing all the party drugs my friends did. I think the ultimate message of this movie is to not give into peer pressure, which is a great message. You get to decide your comfort level with what you want to do and anyone who disrespects that is disrespecting you as a person.
I had a friend in College who said never to touch a Ouija board because there’s a spiritual hand reaching out to try to talk to whoever touches it. And the spirits will lie to you. This friend is why I will survive a horror movie
I think this movie was referring to not only someone wanting to fit in. But someone looking for an escape. The hand was a “drug”. A decent kid getting involved with the wrong crowd and the wrong things. Then paying the full consequences. Mia made many horrible choices. But I think Mia and duckett became “addicted” to using the hand. The grief led them to use the hand again and again and again. I don’t care what age you are if you’re doing something like that you’re stupid lol. But I do think the movie meant to make the hand not seem as serious as it was. Like drugs or a ouji board.
@@residentidiot9694 by drugs I mean things like weed or alcohol which a lot of people don’t have issue with or atleast tried with their friends when they were young. And many people don’t believe ouija boards are dangerous.
It's not good enough she lacks any common sense & self preservation, but she's gotta generate as much collateral damage on the way down; yet another trash movie with a kamikazi protagonist. The Wave (2019) was so much better, not only because he demonstrates some sensible deduction, but also gets help from people he trusts; he's still destroys his life irreparably, but at least he finds a way to leave a positive impact despite his willful recklessness.
So many people missed this, but Mia does NOT throw herself in front of the car. She hesitates about pushing the boy, but it's unclear if she would have gone through with it because she doesn't get a chance to decide. If you look closely to the right during the pov scene from the inside of the car you see Jade running up to Mia and pushing her.
@@saucerfullofzepp4203 Not how the film established the "rules." The idea is if you die with the spirits still haunting you then you become one of them. @@saucerfullofzepp4203 wdym? that wasnt the point of the comment. the comment said she got killed by mia to save her brother, not that shes not going to limbo
I don't think Mia just wanted to fit in... she actually hoped to connect with her mom in some way. She's probably missing her to a point that she had hoped that one of the random spirits that would connect would be her mom.
The fact that the Directors took pay cuts to ensure that Sophie Wilde became the lead actress still blows my mind! They agreed to a 1M pay cut for the film so they could cast her. They thought it would be harder to market the film with an actress who wasn't well known. But the brothers KNEW she was the right person because of her audition! I have so much respect for them for that.
Let's take a moment to appreciate RackaRacka for this movie. Went from skits on TH-cam to a fully fledged movie. I have been watching them for 7 years and its crazy seeing them now
Your concern is legit bcause people can give you bad energy even send something evil by just touching you (in my culture)..this is sounds superstitious but it did happened.
It's wild how Riley's friend kept calling him a foetus for not wanting to smoke, and in the vision the little girl showed Mia, the spirits there were eating an infant. Which kinda makes sense why they wanted Riley, and it seemed like they were also eating him. I guess they actually devour pure spirits.
I'm almost certain the little girl was somebody else and the vision wasn't real. Reilly gets better the longer he doesn't use the hand which doesn't make sense if they're feeding on him. They wanted Mia to think the only way to save him was to kill him because eventually they would lose their control over him and he had to die while possessed to collect his soul.
Can we please not ignore the Fact that Jade said that riley shouldn't do it but then just leaves the room. If you wanted him to not do it just bring him with you
I have older siblings and they absolutely can’t lol. Also, Mia was right there egging him on. What kind of person who considers themself an honorary sister does that?
I understand why everyone hates Mia for her incompetence. But we also forget that the spirits were just so smart. They imitated Mia's mom so that they could keep Riley on for more than 90seconds. They were predators that clearly wanted riley's soul and they saw how vulnerable mia was, they exploited it and use her so they can get the soul that they wanted. I mean, mia IS brash and incompetent, but what can you do, she's a friggin teenager who clearly is struggling from her mom's loss
She far passed the level of teenager ignorance or incompetence. We can't be sure how much she was affected after her first possession, so it's possible none of her actions are her fault. However, if she had any agency, at any point, then by not stopping it she is to blame for everything that happened afterwards. Clearly she was mentally unstable, which makes the sister a bad friend for exposing her to the hand in the first place and not immediately getting her out. But you said it, teens are going to be stupid. Can't believe they brought that shit to the hospital.
The spirits weren't that smart really, she was just being really stupid and selfish. Which teenagers can be, but still everything that happens in this movie is her fault.
Mias mom was the first spirit that possessed Riley. Its suggested by his initial reaction when he grabs the hand. He looks immediately at Mia and then lets her in. A genuine heartfelt apology within the context of her mom taking her own life which Mia didn't know about at the time. Then Mias mom gets "kicked out" and he gets possessed by the malevolent spirit that "liked Riley". The drowned woman, already attached to Mia, knew exactly how to play her. Especially with seeing how her ACTUAL moms spirit operates.
Mia doesn’t care. She just lost her mom. If fitting in is a possibility, it’s better than her current reality. I really don’t think that fitting in was her main motivation, even in the first place..
No the thing is, we knew that Mia was feeling lonely because she mentioned that to Riley. I mean MAYBE she wanted to see her mom, but that was never insinuated in the first part part of the movie anytime before Riley's incident. Maybe it was an underlying emotion, but was never out right displayed, unlike the emphasis on her loneliness just after her moms death and on her 2nd death anniversary. So I'd like to think it never crossed her mind until she the spirit imitated her mom through Riley.
It takes another level of selfishness, immaturity, and no empathy, to do the things she did. Let's face it, there are alot of people who have it worse than Mia. People who lost family members, people who live in very dark situations, etc. It was her written personality and character that drove her, not her circumstances.
@@irenedagami130 I think they all played a factor, but comparing her situation to others’ doesn’t change anything. Not everyone has the same ability to cope. Some people act a LOT differently when they’re grieving. I agree that what she did was totally selfish, but I wouldn’t say she was devoid of empathy. She looked out for Riley before all of that went down and truly cared about him.
12:23 also in the scene his sister yells and repeats for him to close the door after leaving her room and he never does, foreshadowing how he failed to close the spiritual door later on
The reason why Mia was able to be so stupid in the situation. Was because the demons already knew that she would be so susceptible because of her broken will/mind. It was already a checkmate from the start
@@skubaRu7 those are some wild numbers. this take really fails to account for the catastrophic level of grief that Mia was going through. it would make sense that she’d join the game searching for human connection, and the friends presented her with an activity they KNEW was stupidly dangerous and even refused to fess up after the kid got hurt. by the time mia learned the truth her thoughts had already been taken over by the ghosts (who take advantage of her grief by cosplaying as her DEAD MOM btw). so yeah mia’s decisions were dumb but at least it made sense why she was making them. the friends are just morally and cognitively defunct. I’d say 100% theirs bc you can’t spike a heavy drinker with hard meth and then blame them for overdosing.
@@professionalcrier4535ah yes, take away all accountability from the person because they were “filled with grief”. Life’s hard, sad shit happens to everyone, if we start taking away accountability from people simply because they are “in grief” then what’s the point of punishment
@@herohonda4183 if we’re talking about accountability, the 2 friends intentionally withholding key information and subjecting people to a dangerous artifact that’s killed people in the past is more causal to the consequences that occurred. and I didn’t say mia made no mistakes, I said it makes sense that she would be easy for the spirits to manipulate because she’s still grieving her dead mom. it’s difficult to discuss this with you bc you’re tying yourself down to a binary argument of right & wrong that is incompatible with the multifaceted nature of people and their actions-a mistake that this video makes too, but I get that it’s easier to consume without having to actually think.
By the time I was Reilly's age I had seen Hellraiser, the Exorcist, and Spookies (obscure little horror movie, but starts off with a possession going very badly). No way in hell am I letting some random spirits possess me ON PURPOSE. You'd have to be completely out of your freaking mind to think that's a good idea, let alone do it over and over just for shits and giggles.
the scene that pisses me off the most is when mia insists for riley to go pass 90 seconds despite the danger along with all the kids in the situation allowing it to happen despite reluctance. in this situation, mia is wrong, but the rest are too. so honestly the only one who should have a happy ending is riley idc.
When I was in high school I was playing Edward 40 hands and just trying to go to concerts. Never in my life has someone offered me access to a demon party and for that, I’m grateful
If anything, this movie accurately depicts the irrationality of grief. Mia is working on a need to alleviate her pain that overrides any sense of self preservation. Unfortunately, it also comes to show that “hurt people” hurt people (does not excuse the behavior).
How to beat talk to me 1) take the hand 2) go to a church 3) explain the hand to the priest 4) bless the hand 5) drench it in holy water 6) destroy it or lock it up forever
This may backfire, since the hand acts as a portal so destroying it before the spirits got back leave us with the possibility that the spirits will stay with us forever
@@GhostOps300 I said nothing about using the hand but if u do use it and destroy it before the spirits leave it’s good reason to ask for an exorcism or get blessed and become a person of god it would convince me that there’s some sort of deity out there
Ngl when I watched this movie, it seemed very much like an allegory for illegal drug abuse... ^^; Like, many of them seem to be getting addicted to 'touching the hand' for the kick. And their health degrades while they are getting injured.
25:49 i think you misinterpreted that scene. The first time Mia was possessed she told that it felt good, that she felt as if she was outside her own body and just watching from "outside" what her body does. And THAT is what happened. The toe muncher had control over Mia and .. well toe munched and Mia didn't realise that she wasn't in control. → her screams didnt wake daniel up but zhe munching did
Duckett mia and the kid were the only one with any real consequences lol. Everyone else who partook escaped pretty much Scott free. Besides the dad who I felt didn’t deserve his fate lol.
Ah yes the classic one parent dies and the other has a less well relationship with his/her kid and the kid wanting to see her parent again but it goes wrong
I think the spirit who originally possessed the kid was Mia’s mom but, then she got booted out by the bloated lady or some other spirit. The way she is apologizing, using the nickname that the other “mom” doesn’t use.
I would argue one thing: Mia got her hand on the hand more than 90 seconds at the very start of the movie. I always assumed that it meant that she was slowly getting possessed by the spirit that possessed her at the start. This explains why she encouraged Riley so much to try when it was obviously a bad idea and why she was so obsessed by trying again. I'd say Mia was the evil spirit first victim in a way.
As someone who saw this in cinema (my first gorror film ive seen on the big screen) 10/10 will be horrified as shit again Its so disturbing and i could barely eat pizza after all the bludgeoning, the dog, the suicide attempts, and the overall atmosphere.
Don't really care if calling the dead is real or not, but calling the dead alone is almost as disrespectful as digging back your love ones, just let them rest, this world is ass anyways.
And if you do at least reading a seance instruction book first or at least getting a spirit medium to supervise since they know how to safely communicate and exorcise the spirits. Or at least, bringing a bible and holy water with you

@@jayforpay7774 Remember Mia went over the 90 second limit on her first try. The spirit already possessed her. It can make her hear and see things afterwards.
@@jayforpay7774 They referenced this when Daniel and Mia were talking. Daniel specifically says they know what we are thinking and feeling (paraphrasing). But from the start Mia was possessed from going over the 90-second limit. And during her possession, she was targeted by the drowned woman which is why every time Mia's mom is alluded to we hear water or gurgling to signify that it isn't actually her mom. When Riley was possessed it took the form of the water streaming from his eyes. Once the drowned woman possessed Mia she clearly, targeted Rilley (They like you) and they knew exactly how to get to him by possessing Mia past the time limit. They knew her mom passed and that that would make her want to extend the time limit passed the 50 seconds they settled on. Another clue was Riley's reaction after he said Talk To Me. "They'll want to stay": so they pulled out every manipulation trick they possibly could to ensure that that would happen. Also, made evident by Hayley and Duckett, they take the form of others to trick and manipulate even further. This movie had so many twists and turns, I swear.
I think that from the first time she used it and she went over the 90 second limit it was game over. She was possessed by that drowned spirit and all her decisions were influenced by it.
@@fc7307 Exactly, she wasn't dumb, she was literally being manipulated by the spirit that possessed her since the very beginning. The entire movie was a metaphor for drug use/ dependency, and she was under its influence since she was basically peer pressured into it. The scene at the beginning with Riley and his "friend" James where he tried to peer pressure him into smoking had a double meaning. Riley refused but was affected by it anyway while Mia gave in and affected those around her. She wasn't the one actively making the bad decisions the spirits were forcing her to. She even said, "She felt like a passenger," implying that they were completing the actions, not her. In the end she even broke free from their influence indicated when she released Riley's wheelchair handlebars. But it was too late because Jade pushed her into traffic. Mia couldn't put the kangaroo out of its misery but Jade sure could.

me and some mates did one once, candles dark room and all, rest assured as long as you’re doing it to discover wether it’s real, cos then you subconsciously don’t want an answer so you don’t drift to a possible answer you want, but if you go in believing it’s real and believing an answer will come your subconscious is more likely to move it for you. it’s like when you push your hands out with someone else pushing them together for 30 seconds or so, then when they take their hands away your hands naturally drift apart cos your subconscious expects something to be pushing inwards, so you instinctively push out

What got me mad is the fact that Mia overstepped her boundaries with Riley and gave him permission to use the hand when Riley’s actual sister said no.

This is very true.
All she had to do was call her mom and none of this would have happened
I understand why everyone hates Mia for her incompetence. But we also forget that the spirits were just so smart. They imitated Mia's mom so that they could keep Riley on for more than 90seconds. They were predators that clearly wanted riley's soul and they saw how vulnerable mia was, they exploited it and use her so they can get the soul that they wanted. I mean, mia IS brash and incompetent, but what can you do, she's a friggin teenager who clearly is struggling from her mom's loss
Before Riley held the hand Mia had already shown how much of an idiot she was so her being manipulated wasn’t the cause of her downfall
@@hanmasantan7282 true but being a smart teenager is rare, and they're usually the ones that has the right parental or familial circumstances

@@Mediados Same for me!
@skubaRu7 exactly she was 90% the issue and problem. While the other 10% was the dumb friends
Mia has to be top 3 dumbest horror movie characters of all time
So true.
Wow, this whole thing was infuriating, but at least it had a happy ending with the villain getting what she deserved.
I have a rule, don't mess with anything that involves demons possessing your body!
I remember me and a group of buddies going to a friend’s house while his parents cooked dinner for us when he said he had a ouija board and asked if we all wanted to play before dinner. everyone else got hyped while I said “no, I don’t mess with that black magic crap.” They all told me to relax and the one friend said “it isn’t even real nothing happens.” Before he could finish anything I said “if u pull that thing out I’m walking upstairs and telling your parents to take me back home and you won’t ever have to worry about me stepping foot in your house again.” They all looked at one another and he placed it back. We played video games together instead and had a wonderful dinner. (Btw when this all went down we were high schoolers. Imma cut the story short here or I’ll keep rambling on lol.) edited: for the people complaining that my friends would’ve kicked me out, and called me a snitch no, no they wouldn’t have. Their parents knew he had it and told their son if any of his friends wanted to play then they could, but if any felt uncomfortable don’t push them to do it. I respectfully said no the first time and cracked a joke that I don’t mess with that black magic ish, i didn’t want to join in. Because that’s how I was bought up and raised, not to play and mess with “dark magic” telling on them?, ratting them out was never my intention. but removing myself?, I surely would have. We are all still close friends till this day, we went to high school together and even went to the same college. Some of us have kids and are married now. And our friendship is still going strong 💪😤 y’all only know what i wanted you to know, so please chill out and stop talking as if u know how my friends felt at the moment. it was their decision alone to put it up and have us all play something together, i didn’t make them do that. We all laugh about it till this day. Everyone has different beliefs and religions. I won’t waste my time arguing/commenting with people being negative All of u have a wonderful and blessed day 💖
You’re a legend sir. Well done 👍🏽
me and some mates did one once, candles dark room and all, rest assured as long as you’re doing it to discover wether it’s real, cos then you subconsciously don’t want an answer so you don’t drift to a possible answer you want, but if you go in believing it’s real and believing an answer will come your subconscious is more likely to move it for you. it’s like when you push your hands out with someone else pushing them together for 30 seconds or so, then when they take their hands away your hands naturally drift apart cos your subconscious expects something to be pushing inwards, so you instinctively push out
I had to do the same thing except for my friend, still pulled it out and played it while I just went upstairs and hung out with her parents. I don’t care if it’s real or not I ain’t messing with nothing.
Yo. Same situation. Except I agreed to the ouija board. "It's not real dude, it's just fun". Our friend Tommy got possessed we think. Something wasn't right with him. He said he didn't feel so good. Excused himself and went home. Next week he didn't turn up to school on Monday. Didn't turn up Tuesday and eventually word got out. I don't know what happened to this day but he stepped in front of ongoing traffic, he didn't make it. Then Brady also started acting funny. Don't know if it was the shock of Tommy, he was closer to him than me, but he became very isolated. 2 years later he committed suicide. Probably wasn't related directly, I think he had other things going on. At least I thought that for a number of years. Until Josh died too, goddamn near 4 years ago now; drug overdose. I'm actually the only one of the four of us still alive, nothing funny ever happened to me though except the voices, but I think that's due to my alcohol problem.
@sirfarhantheone1 phroar ur hard as nails u
a clever horror ghost themed movie which meaning can be directly interpretated as the effects of drugs, beautifully shot and edited, probably one of the best horrors out there recently
I’m glad that I don’t and never have understood the pressure to make people who clearly don’t like me, like me. Accepting that some people just won’t like you and that’s ok will save you from a lot of trouble, like ghosts.
Shout out to RakaRaka for making an actual good movie.
"She was actually the toe muncher" love that phrase.
I didn't like Mia's obsession with her dead mother which eventually caused her to create trouble for everyone and injure(kill?) her father only because her mother's ghost told her to, it(her mom's ghost) doesn't even appear when she died herself.
Anyway that toe sucking scene got me in tears😂, waking up to someone sucking your toes has got to be the most confusing terrifyingly sexual incident one can experience. Do you scream with how disturbing it is and run away from the scene or do you go along with it or do you ignore it as a dream and continue sleeping?🤣 That was wild, she looked like she was enjoying it.🦶😛
😅😂😅
dude it’s her mother, hello???
@@chewedw1re it doesn't matter, I understand the desire to want to see your dead parent/relative but ultimately we have to accept that death is a natural part of life. She held on to her grief for so long it was practically destructive. If I saw a dead relative I'd run. That same mother caused her to harm her father, she should stop chasing the dead and make the most with the living.
@@therealNguniEmperori mean mia mom death was extremely recent as well it's not like she died 10 years ago.
@@blakesilvermark1 I don't know, their world could have no horror movies but I refuse to believe it doesn't contain superstition especially when ghosts literally exist unlike our world. This girl just had emotional and probably mental issues, she recognizes that and kills herself. I've seen people who grieve like that and it's honestly not fair to their loved ones. But then again, stop chasing demons, they don't have your best interests at heart.
@@chewedw1re Therapy should be the first thing you do, not call on some spirit.
Hey man just wanted to say I'm loving the videos and keep up the good work
'Mia was the toe muncher all along' wasn't a sentence I thought I'd hear today
Your how to survive is 10 times better than the actual movie
I honestly feel bad for Riley fr he ALMOST DIED FOR GOD SAKES
this movie needs a part 2
It's getting one!
i think the spirts wanted Riley cuz he’s vulnerable, he wanted to fit in and it was easy for the dead to get him
what pissed me off is Mia going over Jade's authority regarding Riley. No matter how close they were, Mia was not responsible for him and had no right to go over Jade's decision and let him use it.
Thank you for telling her to seek a specialist. This is one thing that almost always irks me. We know this is real now, so why would you not consult an expert on these things?
37:28-37:30 the dad may have gone into heaven since the elevator icon was indicating going up.
That's a real good indication I like it
That ending got me trying to get it if it was real or not... And i failed, but my interpretation is that everything is real. Riley really got better and her dad survived, based on the logic that if she's now a spirit she's not being controlled by other spirits, and if Riley or her dad were also spirits they would be able to see her...?
But it can all be a metaphor, so i don't know
The problem is that the hand was in the wrong hands
If they could at least respect the 90 seconds rule
“GREAT WAY TO MAKE FRIEND MIA” HAD ME DEAD
Honestly I liked the ending with her getting what she deserves messing with things you don't know about it felt as good as the end of drag me to hell
The thing that really gets me about movies like this is, THEY HAVE PROOF THE AFTERLIFE IS REAL and they do nothing with this information. It would completely alter theology as we know it.
Step one don't trust your friends because they will sacrifice or leave you alone
Step 2 don't go to creepy places
Step 3 if something happens run as fast as possible
Step 4 never get a possessed hand
Step 5 be the last one alive
Step 6 if you are hunted or possessed by a demon then move away from town but possessed people just make a holy circle and find a cross and don't be like Mia and her friends! Also HAVE A DAMN GOOD DAY
step one: don't let it in
Mia was insufferable, Thanks for reminding me just how much I hate her.
the second she suggested to do the ritual, I would have taken that hand and thrown it onto the train tracks when the horn blows
If this man was put in a movie he would survive😂😂
ngl i would actually put effort into making a fake hand replica just for my sibling's safety, but i doubt anyone else would do it
That ending was awesome becoming the hand and a lost soul 😮
You’d think people would realize stranger danger also applies to spirits
Exactly!! They’re human too, just with supernatural powers. Even worse lol.
As someone who has dealt with the paranormal, if ANY of my "friends" try this. I'M BLESSING MY HOUSE AND NEVER CONTACTING THEM AGAIN
Damn that ending was fire 🔥
Friends: wanna talk to spirits?!
Me: go ahead, I -i am very bUsy, yeah.. yeah..
