    Our family just can't quit watching your videos - Thank you for making hunting videos that do not have all of the headbanging music, re-enacted scenes, staged scenes, and profanity that is in most other videos. Keep it up.

    Congratulations Tom!
    That .338 did that bull in. Epic filming, awesome scenery. I know this is an older video but being a new subscriber, I'm able to "play" catch up. You guys work your tails off, not only for yourselves but for us. It's been VERY ENJOYABLE thus far. Simply SPECTACULAR !!!

    Subscribed! Fantastic hunt, great shooting, monster moose, great vids, and nothing better than a trip with your brother and father. I have two young hunters and we cherish our white tail hunts together. Living the dream but I wasn't envying the packout. You guys are in fantastic physical condition. How did you secure the caracass from predators overnight?

      Thank you! We quarter the moose up right away and put the quarters in game bags and burried them in Alder branches away from the gut pile and pray that they will be there in the morning LOL.

    Just binge watched this channel, awesome hunt, good shooting and big rewards for all 3. What are the odds that father and sons draw 3 tags for the same hunt or was this a general season tag?

    Congrats Tom! Nice bull! Man I so wish I could hunt up there. I live in Hayden Idaho, about and hour and a half south of Canada. Got my once only bull moose about 2 years ago. He was about 41" and just got the mount back from the taxidermist and super excited. Ya two years was a long time, but i wont get into that. Anyways, this was a great video and watched the whole thing. That video of your shot was perfect! The vapor trail was sweet and that was a great spot you guys had there. Hope you guys keep posting great videos like this. Well done guys.

    Good job, Tom. Have you guys ever gone hunting in Canada?

    • @Stuckntherut1
      @Stuckntherut1  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Troy Davidson Only once, loved it, but we do not like using guides. Canada requires us to use guides.

    Nice bull and nice shooting! How far was your gun sited in for? I have a moose hunt coming up with open country. Trying to figure out what to put 0 on.

    Looks like the Kelty pack frame your using. I use the same for hiking my meat out here in the bc interior. Works well. Seems near unbearable so far.

    • @Stuckntherut1
      @Stuckntherut1  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very good packs, but still hurt. In this area of Alaska, it's law to pack out the bone with the meat, making the hind quarters 175lbs a piece. Pretty unbearable, ha ha

    Nice bull but what I see is "You guys certainly earned every ounce of meat!!!" That is WORK. I don't think a lot of people that watch these hunts even think about that. Other hunters would, of course, but the average Joe Blow wouldn't have a clue. I think moose meat is among the best on the planet. Job well done!

    How did you get the moose out?

    • @Stuckntherut1
      @Stuckntherut1  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      We quartered it and packed it out in three trips, than flew it out with the same plane we flew in

    Moose hunt in Alaska = big fun but prepare for hard work...

  • @Mark-uq9km
    @Mark-uq9km 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Moose hunting is not for the faint of heart or weaklings. When you hunt moose country you are in for some hard work. But, the thrill of being in beautiful wilderness makes it worth it.
    I'm ambivalent about using cannons at quarter mile ranges to shoot a moose. I guess I'm still old school and think a shot beyond 200 yards is less hunt and more science with the long range optics that when given proper dope take the guesswork out of the shot. Just my opinion and no intention of disparaging the hunters, guides and outfitters. Blessings to all.

    Leave them alone! What are you celebrating? Dead?

    • @Stuckntherut1
      @Stuckntherut1  8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      +sbusumacinta Look at all the meat there!!! That is enough meat for an entire year. That's why we are celebrating.

    How many trips does it take to get all that meat out?

    • @Stuckntherut1
      @Stuckntherut1  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      This one took three trips. Usually it would be quicker, but the laws in this area requires us to pack out the bone with the meat.
